  • This study analyzed current use of 2-block haircut styles and preferences for accurate understanding of the haircut and enhancement of its efficiency. For this, a questionnaire survey was performed against 441 men in their 20~40s living in Jeollanam-do from June 27 to July 6, 2019. A total of 430 copies were used for final analysis. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis and cross-tabulation analysis, using SPSS 21.0, and the results found the followings: When asked about the factors affecting their choice of the haircut, 58.4% (20~40s in age) responded, 'my own decision'. Second, 61.2% said that they were interested in a 2-block haircut, and 54.7% responded that they had the haircut before. Among them, 92.3% said that they were satisfied with the trendy undercut. The above results confirm that men's appearance management is now essential, considering changes in social environments. People envision their hairstyle and visit a hair salon based on their own will, not after recommendation from their acquaintances. Many customers prefer a 2-block haircut because they believe it looks good on them. In addition, they choose the easy-to-care undercut to have a clean and neat image. It is anticipated that the study results would make a contribution to suggesting basic academic data and enhancing sales in a 2-lock haircut which is expected to remain popular. Therefore, it proposes in-depth studies on new 2-block haircut styles for women.

  • Hair beauty treatments that can express individuality have increased and diversified. However, their repetitive use has also brought about hair damage. To reduce such damage, the importance of hair treatments when receiving chemotherapy has magnified greatly. In this study, the hair (normal hair, NH) of 5 people in their 20s has been collected and observed with SEM before dyeing (NH), after dyeing (DH) and after dyed and treated (DTH) to measure the hair's morphological damage and mineral content. SEM observation results revealed that, in DTH, a cuticle-like arrangement appears almost uniformly, the hair settles, the lines are smooth, and the damage degree is low. Regarding mineral content, the concentration of minerals was generally balanced. However, in the observation of toxic minerals and minerals found in large amounts, the concentration of Ba, Na, Ca, and Mg was higher than the balance range in NH, DH, and DTH.

For these people who want to have their own style in a natural and comfortable space and take a break from daily hectic daily routines for a moment, hair-by-night styles were created by adding the images of Greek goddesses to the nature-friendly features of Art Nouveau patterns known as 'flower pattern', 'wave pattern', and 'vine pattern'. In terms of the scope of this paper, four designs (Eos, Hestia, Artemis and Demeter) were created by using Art Nouveau patterns which are connected with flowers in an organic manner based on Rene Lalique and Emile Galle patterns.

The researching methods were composed of following 3 steps ; prior theoretical research, statistical analysis, and hair style production. At first, the prior theoretical research was accomplished by analysis of literatures, magazines and internet sites about face contour, total & hair fashion feelings, hair style productions. Second, the prior statistical analysis were done about hairstyle images & their charateristics based on fashion feelings, and characteristics of fashion feeling group. And the third, hair style productions were done coordinated by face contours(oval, circle, long, square, reverse triangle) and hair fashion feelings(natural, sexy, sophisticate, ethnic, romantic pretty, elegance, sporty, avant garde) following the statistical results. But owing to the limitations to change hair length and color, these changes are modified by wigs and photoshop 7.0 program. So we could know there was no confirmed hair fashion feeling of one's best, but one could change one's hair fashion feeling and express one's beauty if one could adjust one's hair styles properly to one's face contour. • The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between female gradation angle and angles of female gradation according to the angle of the treatment. A total of 100 questionnaires were analyzed using questionnaires. The results showed that sophisticated images were observed at $5^{\circ}$, $31^{\circ}$, and $85^{\circ}$ of gradation, and elegance images were observed at $15^{\circ}$ and $65^{\circ}$, and modern images were observed at $50^{\circ}$. Through this study, we will be able to conduct in-depth follow-up research on female gradation cuts classified by the trend position of trends in Korean men, and it will be possible to use it as basic data for deeper haircut education at the same time as creating customer satisfaction.

  • Attitudes about the ideal body are influenced by media, including fashion magazine advertisements. The purpose of our study was to analyze the ideal body image for males and females in contemporary society. We analyzed the contemporary ideal gender image through the examination of physical characteristics(body type, age), and fashion styles(hair, make up, supplements, clothing styles, body exposure) in fashion advertisements published in Gentlemen's Quarterly(GQ) and Vogue issued during 2002. The results indicate some blurring in masculinity and femininity resulting in gender neutralization and naturalness pursuing natural appearances. But, some previous beauty norms related to masculinity and femininity remained.

  • This study focuses on the visual effects of various neckline-haristyle combinations on the perception of face image and type. The study employed a model with oval face and examined 35 combinations made up of five necklines and seven hairstyles. Looking at various face images depending upon different necklines, in case of round, V, boat square, and high necklines, long wave hair and medium wave hair produced a feminine image of marked individuality; long straight hair that covers the forehead and medium straight hair gave an image of charm and purity as well as an image of neatness; and long straight hair short cut hair showed an intellectual image. Regarding the perceptual type of face depending upon the different necklines of round, V, square, and high, the long straight hair covering the forehead and medium wave hair had the effect of an optical illusion that made the face look short and round; and short cut hair made the face line look distinct and the face look oval and slender.

  • Everything of the world we live in has its own unique color. Those colors move us, enrich our every day life, and make us happy. When we have our hairs dyed by a color we like, we may look different, feeling confident and activated. We select a color fur our hair color design depending on such symbolic aspects as our life styles, self-images or personalities. Namely, we tend to choose a color the image of which we like. Such a tendency implies that it should be important to study hair colors in multi-faceted ways. The purpose of this study was to survey people's preferences of hair color tone images depending on their demographic and physical variables and thereby, determine the correlations between their preferences and variables. For this purpose, hair colors tones were classified into 11 categories and thereby, subjects' preferences of hair tones were analyzed in terms of the image adjective combinations. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; As a result of analyzing subjects' preferences of hair color tones depending on their such demographic variables as gender, age group and marital status, it was found that males tended to prefer dark tones more than females, and that those in their 30's or older tended to select dark tones more than those in their 20's. On the other hand, the married preferred medium bright tones more than the singles. Furthermore, such physical variables as body size, weight and apparel size were found correlated with hair color tone preferences. To be specific, shorter people desired more to have their hair colors match with their natural ones not to be less exposed to others. Lastly, as a result of analyzing the correlation between hair color tone preferences and weight and apparel size, it was found that fat people tended more to prefer medium bright color tones than normal or slim people.
