  • The purpose of present study is to investigate mediating effects of emotional labor in the links between communication ability of small businessmen and customer orientation behavior. In detail, it is demonstrated both impacts of communication ability on customer orientation behavior and emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting), and of emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting) on customer orientation behavior. Furthermore, mediating effects of emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting) will be verified. The data for analysis was collected from 270 employees in small businessmen located in Jeju. The results are as follows. First, the main impacts of communication ability on customer orientation behavior and emotional labor (surface acting, deep acting) were statistically significant, in addition, emotional labor (surface acting) was positively associated with customer orientation behavior. Surface acting as a mediator was partially mediated the relation. The result will help to understand the importance for communication ability in small businessmen, and it suggests the crucial implecation in the communication study of service suppliers.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how flipped learning strategy affects learners' self-regulating ability in both general English and Spanish, based on the study hypothesis that self-regulating learning ability of general English learners will make a meaningful difference in comparison to that of traditional learning. The study was also focused on how flipped learning was related to learners' self-regulating ability. From September 10, 2018 to December 10, 2018, a total of 81 students in general English and Spanish were surveyed in which three sub areas of self-regulating learning (cognitive, motivational, and behavioral control) were considered, and which were divided into six sub-domains, a total of 65 items were composed. Although not very significant results were shown in the case of motivational control, both English and Spanish classes have statistically significant differences in cognitive and behavioral self-regulating learning abilities.

The subjects of this study were 319 students from year 1 to year 3 of total 6 middle schools who experienced school violence as a victim in Daegu and the research tool is questionnaires which are consist of general characteristics of the subjects, experience of school violence scale, self regulatory ability scale, family healthy scale and coping behavior scale. In order to analyze the data of the study, factor analysis, relational regression, linear regression analysis and moderated multiple regressions were used. The main results of this study were as following. First, there was significant correlation between the adolescents who experienced school violence, self regulatory ability and the coping behaviors. Second, adolescents who experienced school violence as victim act more aggressive coping behavior than other coping behavior. Third, while experience of school violence as victim influence adolescents' coping behaviors, it was found that self regulatory ability affect role in the regulation. cognitive self regulatory ability are in charge of controlling the aggressive coping behaviors.

  • This study examined the effects of maternal grandmothers' positive parenting behavior, mothers' emotion regulation, and positive parenting behavior on children's emotion regulation. A total of 348 mothers of fourth and fifth graders responded to questionnaires, which included items related to their mothers' positive parenting behavior, their own emotion regulation and positive parenting behavior, and their children's emotion regulation. The data were analyzed by means of correlations and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). First, maternal grandmothers' positive parenting behavior significantly affected mothers' emotion regulation, but mothers' emotion regulation did not directly affect their children's emotion regulation. Second, maternal grandmothers' positive parenting behavior had an effect on mothers' positive parenting behavior, which led to a high level of their children's emotion regulation. Lastly, maternal grandmothers' positive parenting behavior indirectly influenced children's emotion regulation through mothers' emotion regulation and positive parenting behavior. This study emphasizes the intergenerational transmission of positive parenting, as well as a crucial influence of mothers' positive parenting behavior on children's emotion regulation.

  • The purposes of this study are to find out the effectiveness of the tutoring program and the level of self-regulated learning ability in tutoring program attending students. This study has been performed for team-tutoring program attending students(n=183) who are in 15 department, D college in Daegu. Following results were drawn thought correlation analyses of variables obtained during the survey period. The results were as follows; There was statistically significant difference among perception controlling ability, purpose controlling ability, and action controlling ability. In over 20 ages, organization, meta-perception stratagem, arrangement, self-effectiveness, controlling learning time ability were higher than of lower 20 ages(p<0.05). In tutors, demonstration, organization, meta-perception stratagem, arrangement, checking, purpose intentions, self- effectiveness, achievement, controlling action, help requirement ability were higher than tutees(p<0.05). As results, the tutoring program was effective for both tutors and tutees in college students. Further studies in an education program for students in all years should be implemented to examine tutoring effects. Implementation of tutoring should address the frustrations and difficulties encountered by the students to facilitate better outcomes.

  • Objective : The purpose of the study is to examine the length of institutionalization and sensory modulation for preschooler without disabilities, and to investigate the relationship between the length of institutionalization and behavioral problem. Method : Mothers of preschoolers without disabilities between ages of 3 and 7 who attend D kindergarten was participated. Nursery school teacher of institutionalized children without disabilities between ages of 3 and 7 who attend child-welfare facilities was participated. We used Short Sensory Profile(SSP) and Children Behavior Check list. The results were analyzed with SPSS 11.0. Results : There was no significant difference between longer length of institutionalization and shorter length of institutionalization in sensory modulation and behavioral problem. Regarding the sensory modulation and behavior problem according to child-welfare facilities, means showed the statistically significant difference. Regarding sensory modulation of test items, movement sensitivity and low energy/weak showed the statistically significant difference in home-reared children than institutionalized children. Conclusions : The results of the study showed high correlation environmental effect in institutionalized children. Further research is needed to improve environmental for institutionalized children.

  • The research aims to verify the effects of preference for science and self-directed learning ability of the science puppet show program that the researcher has developed as a STEAM education model. The results for conducting the survey with the same questionnaire before and after the program targeting the students showed that the science puppet show had effects on increasing the science related assignment performance will of the behavioral will among the three sub-dimensions including emotional respond, value cognition and behavioral will, but there was no effect on overall aspects of science preference. It can be interpreted as reflecting the characteristics of the scientific talents who already have a high level of preference for science. In addition, the three sub-dimensions including the cognitive regulation, motivational regulation and behavioral regulation had effects on the self-directed learning ability. Especially it had great effects on the directed learning ability of cognitive regulation, learning motivation of motivational regulation, tool application of behavioral regulation, and cooperation capacity which were greater for female students than male students. It is judged that the three-staged science puppet show program including the 'content integrating stage' that the students integrate the curriculum contents, 'integrated mission stage' of solving the visualization, auralization and performance missions by themselves, and 'process integration stage' of making the stage piece all together.

  • This study analyzed the change of after-school guardians' absence types during the first 3 school years, and the relations of after-school care, family environment(family income, parental monitoring) to self-regulatory learning ability and emotional-behavioral problems in each gender of early school-age children from dual income families. The data from 526 boys and 483 girls among 3rd graders of Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) were statistically analyzed by Friedman's test, t-test, correlational coefficient analysis, regression analysis. The results showed that 45% of boys and 50% of girls were with a guardian for their after-school care in each of the first 3 school years and after-school care had changed gradually into the types of temporal or contingent absence of a guardian. Family income and children's self-regulatory learning ability were different from adult-care and self-care in each gender, but there were differences in the parental monitoring of girls and emotional-behavioral problems of boys according to the care types. Both of boys and girls showed that family environment meaningfully related with the ability and the problems, and also showed the relatively different effects of after-school care and family environment on those ability and problems variables. The results suggested some implications for after-school care.
