Simulated Analysis of the Effect of Integrated Operation on Container Terminals in Busan New Port (시뮬레이션을 활용한 부산항 컨테이너터미널 통합운영 효과 분석)

  • The inefficient operation of Busan New Port is due to container-terminal operators being dispersed in small groups, rather than being integrated. This dispersion increased following the reorganization of global shipping alliances in 2016 and causes unnecessary Inter-terminal Transportation(ITT) and ship delays. Studies of integrated operations for larger container terminals show that integration is not going well, however, due to the pre-emptive task that follows the integrated operation. Therefore, in this study, we divided the integrated operation into stages based on a simulated model of the container terminals in Busan New Port. The simulation took into account future increases in the ship's enlargement and terminal congestion, and the operational effects of each type of integrated operation were analyzed and evaluated.

  • Since the destruction of World Trade Center the attention of the united States and the wider international community has focussed upon the need to strengthen security and prevent terrorism. This paper suggests an analysis prior to risk factor and structure for anti-terrorism in the korean maritime society. For this, in this paper, maritime terror risk factor was extracted by type and case of terror using brainstorming method. Also, risk factor is structured by FSM method and analyzed for ranking of each risk factor by AHP. At the result, the evaluation of risk factor is especially over maximum factor for related external impact.

  • This study classify the every meshes in Busan metropolitan city, based on the building need. The number of the effective meshes is 3289, all of those meshes are databased with simplified 7 building needs. The area for residential, commercial, educational needs occupy 92.4 % among all the areas. To simplify the multiple variables, principal component analysis is performed before the cluster analysis. Ans as the result 5 classification are obtained.

가덕도(구)등대의 문화재적 가치향상을 위한 보존 및 활용 방안에 관한 연구

  • 한일합방 직전인 1909년 12월에 초점등된 가덕도(구)등대는 가덕도의 끝단 동두말에 위치하고 있으며, 이위치는 부산 남해는 물론 거제도가 한눈에 들어오는 광범위한 시계를 가지고 있어 예로부터 군사적 지리적 요충지로 역할을 수행하고 있다. 또한 가덕도는 2010년 거가대교 개통으로 교통의 요충지가 되었다. 가덕도(구)등대는 역사적 보존가치가 높아 해양수산부에 의해 등대문화유산 제8호로 지정되었고, 가덕도(구)등대의 등탑과 결합된 등대 숙사의 문화재적 가치가 높아 부산시 유형문화재 제50호로 지정되었다. 등탑과 숙사가 일체화된 경우도 드물어 건축적 가치가 높을 뿐만 아니라, 숙사의 건축형태와 현관장식 등의 미관이 수려하다. 이렇게 지리적, 역사적, 건축사적 가치를 가지고 있는 가덕도(구)등대는 100주년을 맞이하여 100주년 기념관, 체험숙소 등을 운영하고 있다. 하지만 여러 가지 유해한 요인들 때문에 문화재적 가치가 빛을 발하지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 가덕도(구)등대의 실태조사를 통하여 유해 요인 제거 및 이전 방안에 대한 계획을 수립하고 문화재적 가치 향상과 환경개선, 보존관리를 목적으로 한다.

A Study on the Optimization of Berth Planning Problem (선석할당 계획문제의 최적화에 관한 연구)

  • This paper treats the berth planning problem which is encountered at public container terminals. The main issue of the berth planning problem is to decide how to allocate the berths to scheduled calling containerships of which the ETA' s are given beforehand. Three optimization models for the berth planning problem are proposed in the formulation of set problems. Some heuristic algorithms for generating the decision variables of the models are also devised by using the concept of the ship's waiting time and the modified berth occupancy rate. Computational experiments based on the data arising from the real public container terminal are also carried out and the results are reported to show that the proposed optimization models and the heuristic algorithms for generating the decision variables are applicable and useful for the berth planning problem at public container terminals.

  • The aim of this study is to identify the difference of the customer satisfaction before and after establishment of Busan Port Authority with focus on container terminals in Busan Port. As a result, the customer satisfaction varies according to customer types, and it has been changed followed by container port environment. Therefore suitable strategies have to establish, i.e. berth number for large shipping company, connectivity for feeder company, and activity of customer attraction for terminal operating company.

  • The localization performance in the ship environment is degraded by RF interference due to steel structure characteristics and NLOS environment. In this paper, a wireless hybrid localization system using ZigBee, UWB, and LF technologies is proposed to improve position estimation accuracy in the ship environment.

  • This study aims at advancing waterfront planning and development of North Harbor of Pusan and attempting to establish an identity through the analysis and case studies of waterfront development of foreign countries. This study is based on Pusan urban harbor plan and the case study which was investigated the relational port with an urban area to find a model of development method and procedure of urban waterfront renewal, The approach of this study is to classify diversified cases and to suggest elements after reviewing successful cases. The point in the waterfront development plan of North Harbor of Pusan is how to secure an amenity on the edge and provides a comprehensive theoretical base such as skyline, coastline, green area, accessibility, scenery, landmark, open space, and so on. The result of this study is useful for the planner to develop more and systematic approaches which could utilize waterfront. Waterfront development will be a new chance of urban development for Pusan.

Deployment of Yard Cranes Considering Storage Plans in Container Terminals (컨테이너 터미널에서 장치계획을 고려한 야드 크레인 배치 문제)

  • The main function of a container terminal is to load container freights into vessels and discharge them from vessels. The container terminal needs to utilize its resources effectively in order to improve the productivity of it. This study deals with the deployment model for yard cranes whose type is RMGC (rail mounted gantry crane). We develop a mathematical model for the deployment of yard cranes. The model considers not only the deployment but also the storage plans. It could be divided into two cases according to whether inter-block movements of yard cranes are allowed or not, during the same period Numerical examples are solved and analyzed to validate the model. Then, additional experiments are performed to compare the performance of the model with that of a previous model without the re-deployment of yard cranes.
