International air transport for cargo services is a facilitator for various trade sectors and, by itself, an important service industry. Although international air cargo industry is expected to grow continuously, industry stakeholders complain about legal constraints in the industry and demand more liberalized regime. From its birth at the beginning of the 20th century, the airline industry was tightly regulated by governments with a strong tradition of protectionism. In the past few decades, however, protectionism in the airline industry has steadily declined. Indeed, the airline industry is largely in the process of liberalization. Interestingly, it has been easier to liberalize air cargo service than passenger service. Indeed, states have traditionally shown far more willingness to provide market access for foreign carriers carrying cargo than passengers. Given the impact of air cargo service in a state's wider economy and own characteristics of cargo services (i.e. air cargo traffic is inherently one-way, unlike passenger traffic, which tends to involve round trips), more liberalized approach is necessary for air cargo services. Among three approaches: bilateral, regional (block-based) and multilateral, it is desirable to adopt a multilateral treaty (a new multilateral all-cargo agreement) so as to harmonize and simplify complicated trade regulations on air cargo services.

Considering a trend of logistics and transport industry in these days, it can be said that international express courier service is one of the most familiar transport type to the general public. Especially in Korea, due to development of electronic commercial transaction and the popularity of television home shopping, it can easily anticipated that express courier business will continuously grown in the future. However, the legal basis for international express courier is not properly set up so far. The only clause about this can be found on Korean Aviation Law said as 'commercial documents delivery business'. The origin of the commercial documents delivery business in Aviation Law is to make exception from public postal services which has been exclusive status as monopoly based on the Korean Postal Law. Basically, according to this regulation, all the private postal delivery is prohibited except some sort of commercial documents such as consignment notes, packing list, invoice etc. Thus, those documents could be delivered not only by public postal services but also by private courier company according to the Korean Postal Law. This waiver has probably come from under developing condition of Korean postal circumstances, however it should be revised according to the modernized business practice. Reflecting these revisions, the articles of Korean Postal Law adopted 'international express courier document' as the exception of postal service. Therefore, Korean Aviation Law also needs to be revised as Postal Law in due course. In addition to revision of Korean Aviation Law, some sort of new legislation is required to govern the private legal aspects such as legal liabilities, duties and rights of each parties on international express courier. This should be governed by 'law' not by 'terms and conditions' provided by business operators. Furthermore, to support and develop the current domestic logistics companies as international express courier company, it is required to regulate with the separate express courier law.

The objective of this study is to analyze domestic air passengers' preferences for selecting domestic airline company. By the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) method, we tried to measure the weight of the qualitative factors objectively and scientifically. The overall results indicate that domestic air passengers place more weight on airport service factor than other service factors for selecting domestic airline. Also, reservation/ticketing and in-flight service factors are equivalent to airport service factor. These priorities are differently shown followed by passengers' income. Therefore, airline companies need to formulate the differentiated strategy and customer-oriented marketing plan based on identified customer needs.

The study proved the fitness between competitive strategy and service operation strategy of service companies. The competitive strategy of a corporation is a major strategy playing the role of bridge linking both corporate strategy and functional strategy. And it is a choice of method how to win competitors in given area. There have been such a specific methodologies for acquiring competitive advantage as Porters competitive strategy, Miles and Snows adaptive strategy, and Life cycle strategy. But, many scholars have pointed that its more important for high corporate performance to determine the competitive strategy of a corporation fitting the external environment and internal structure. So its needed for successful cost-leadership or differentiation strategy to differentiate organizational function, resources, and various organizational factors. But there have been no methodologies or practical guidelines fitting competitive strategy, corporate structure, and external environment in sprite do service corporations growth. So, the study proved the fitness between competitive strategy and service operation structure in Airlines after selecting service structural elements necessary for strategic management.

The objective of this study is to estimate Korean transportation service index (KTSI), and to explore possible uses of the KTSI. The KTSI was monthly index to represent the level of passenger and freight services by road, railroad, air and maritime modes, which was developed from eight series. Four of these series measure the level of passenger services (passenger-kilometers) by road, railroad. air and maritime modes : monthly data from January 1995 to December 2004. Similarly. the remaining four series measure the level or freight activity (tonnage) by four modes during the same period. Given the weights of modal revenues, component series were aggregated into two indexes (passenger index and freight index) and a composite index using Chained Fisher Ideal index. which was a geometric mean of the Laspeyres index and the Passche index. The Fisher Ideal index is one of the 'superlative' indexes, which diminish 'substitution bias' as current-weighted indexes. As a result, the freight index and the composite index explain economic conditions better than the passenger index. Based on the composite index. the newly estimated KTSI shows an average lag time of one and a half years at peaks and three months at troughs in comparison with domestic business cycles. Nonetheless. the following efforts are needed for more credible and useful estimates; establishment of data collection scheme in time. credibility uplift of used data, development of various indexation methods.

Airline industry which is depressed owing to terror attack on September 11 and Iraq War in early 21 century through high fuel cost and continuous recession in the second half of 90's is gradually recovering from the year of 2004. So demand of airline industry is rising step by step and investment of airlines toward customer service is also going up. Recently some mega carriers in head customer service in-flight internet service. In addition, so do domestic airlines and others ant to be backward. Many Study on usage attitude toward internet have been argued continuously as a result of everyday life using internet. Although there were survey for the revenue perspective of the firm, study on the side of the consumer is so rare. This study used the model of DEA -conjoint what users of the in-flight internet service now attitude and preference important factors to use. As a result, factors chosen are method to charge, service speed of internet, quality of contents provided and ease of approach toward information. This study presents airlines supplying in-flight internet service now to differentiation strategy for each segment.

According to globalization of world economy by extension of production, sales and distribution all around the world and international transportation system changed into a transport system that puts great importance on speediness and value-added services, international transport system is changing into a Multimodal Transport Routing centered system that systematically connects marine, air and rail transports. Due to such changes production, sales and distribution must be provided in time and Multimodal Transport Routing, which can provide multi-dimensional logistics services to customers of global network, is needed but information connection for international transport and connection system between transport modes are insufficient and can not be activated. Especially in Korea, selection standard of 3rd party logistics companies and transport companies is presented, but logistics exclusive companies, which plan and execute the transportation, can't present a systematic evaluation standard for international Multimodal Transport Routing, selection. Thus, this research surveys important previous studies about Multimodal Transport Routing, selection, derives an evaluation standard for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through interview with company officials, and presents a theoretical basis for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through systematic analysis of Multimodal Transport Routing, selection using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).

The purpose of this research is to assess the efficiency of the airline's route. The revenue source of low cost airline carriers is not various unlike regular airline carriers, because they are operating only domestic and international flights for a country of close proximity. In particular, domestic low-cost airlines in Korea can't provide cargo transport services but rely on passengers and additional services to generate profits. Therefore, it is absolutely important to maintain a low cost and effective passenger transport line. This study will suggest the way to improve efficiency of route operated by low-cost airlines. Analysis method is DEA. The input parameters and output results were selected by existing research. Based on the results of this study, it will be able to assist establishing routes and selling strategies of the low-cost airlines.

This research explores the relative importance of factors and service items that influence the air cargo service quality for provision services by the Skyteam Cargo in the Korean market. In general, the Skyteam Cargo provides a package of services which are different functions and operations of service such item as Equation Heavy (heavy and large express freight), Equation (small express freight), Variation (special freight), and Dimension (general freight). To carry out the research, the expert questionnaire survey, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis had adopted to evaluate the level of quality for the provision air cargo operation services by the Skyteam Cargo at Incheon International Airport. Based on an expert survey and the AHP, five core service factors, namely, infrastructure as installed facilities, reliability, promptness, efficiency, and safety are defined.

As the global air traffic volume has shown a rapid increase, doubling every 15 years since 1977, domestic and international air traffic control services and air navigation safety facility operation management system and status review It is necessary to present the feasibility of establishing an air traffic control agency with integrated functions and establish an operating system for an independent dedicated agency to provide advanced air traffic control services in preparation for the future air transport environment. In particular, in 2021, the national ATM reformation and enhancement (NARAE) a customized comprehensive plan for operations, facilities, and systems to handle air traffic safely and efficiently by actively reflecting changes in the navigation environment such as international policies and standards as this is established, the role of the air traffic control agency becomes more important, and an improved action plan for the control and navigation operating system must be promoted.
