  • This study is to verify and analyze the influencing factors of successful aging with social support, self-efficacy and subjective health status on middle-aged women from an aesthetic point of view. The survey was performed to the women between the ages of 50 and 64 in Seoul and Kyunggi province, Korea. 321 questionnaires were collected and analyzed by SPSS 18.0 program. Multiple regression was used to identify significant predictors of successful aging. The most influencing factor for successful aging was social support, the second was self-efficacy, the third was subjective health status. This regression model explained 56.7% of the variance in successful aging. The result shows it can be an important consideration in intervention and program of successful aging for middle-aged women. Our investigation of this study may provide the basic data for the knowledge system of aesthetic theory including the arena of physical, psychological and social health.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of scalp and hair care behaviors according to DiSC behaviors of beauty consumer. For the study, 251 questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS v.18.0 statistical package program. First, there was statistically significant difference in psychological stability, favorable image, and maintaining state of scalp and hair management according to DiSC behavior type. In case of Shin Jung - hyung (C), psychological stability, Positive images, and maintaining good condition. Second, DiSC and hair management behaviors according to DiSC behaviors showed statistically significant difference in state cognition management and product use management. In the case of cognition type (C) and social type (I) Product use management. The results of this study suggest that hair management awareness and behavior, which is dependent on DiSC behaviors of consumers, are provided as basic data for corporate marketing strategy.

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of bleached tooth with white toothpaste on the whitening effect, microhardness test. Forty-four human interior teeth were randomly assigned to two groups as follows: Group 1 was used general toothpaste as control, Group 2 exposed to white toothpaste at 3 times a day for 3 minutes. The total application time was 4 weeks. After each application, all tooth were washed with distilled water and immersed in artificial saliva. The color change and microhardness were measured using CIELab Color system and microhardness tester. The data were analyzed by student t-test, using SPSS 20.0 statistical computer program (SPSS Inc., USA). The overall color changes (${\Delta}E$) by white toothpaste have a capability of the whitening efficacy by factor of 2.3 times larger compared with general toothpaste. Moreover, the application of white toothpaste did not cause any microhardness reduction on enamel surface.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of educational environment on satisfaction among trainees of beauty vocational training institutions. By examining the literature of previous studies, the research model and research hypothesis were established, and empirical analysis was conducted through questionnaires to establish theoretical concepts and identify variables of the educational environment to verify the effects on trainee satisfaction. A questionnaire was collected from 180 beauty trainees in Gyeong-gi, Seoul, and the collected data was analyzed using AMOS 22.0. As a result of this study, first, it was found that the educational environment had a significant positive effect on the NCS education method and instructor competency. Second, the NCS education method had a negative effect on the trainee satisfaction. Third, it was found that the instructor's competency had a significant positive effect on the satisfaction of trainees. Based on the study results, implications and limitations were presented.

  • Appearance management through hair beauty forms the basis of the beauty industry, while permanent waves using heat are often used in hair salons, but hair damage due to thermal permanent wave treatment is an inevitable reality. Therefore, this study was conducted for the purpose of presenting an efficient method for thermal permanent wave that can further increase hair wave formation ability and minimize customer's hair damage. After collecting virgin hair from the occipital region, thermal rod pretreatment and thermal permanent wave treatment were performed, and hair roughness analysis and 3D-image were studied using an Atomic Force Microscope. As a result of the study, both the average roughness (Ra) and the ten point average roughness (Rz) were calculated as 223 nm and 853 nm for 4 sections, respectively, showing the highest values. Although the number of samples of the experimental data is limited, the wave forming power can be further increased through this study, and it is expected that it will be practically possible to propose an objective method for thermal permanent wave that can minimize hair damage as well as protect the cuticle of the customer's hair.Judge.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of beauty interest on the satisfaction of mask pack use and repurchase. This study analyzed data from 305 copies of the questionnaire on SPSS. The analysis was done using the v21 statistical package program. The results of the analysis showed that the sub-factors of beauty interest had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the mask-pack satisfaction level, and the sub-factors of mask-pack satisfaction level had a positive effect on repurchase intention. As a result of this study, the higher the consumers' beauty interest, the more important the satisfaction of using the mask pack, and accordingly, the intention to repurchase was increased. Through this study, we can expect successful marketing effects if the mask pack sales company understands the needs of consumers and uses them as marketing elements.

  • Micro light-emitting diodes (LEDs), with a chip size of 100 micrometers or less, have attracted significant attention in flexible displays, augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), and bio-medical applications as next-generation light sources due to their outstanding electrical, optical, and mechanical performance. In the realm of bio-medical devices, it is crucial to transfer tiny micro LED chips onto desired flexible substrates with low precision errors, high speed, and high yield for practical applications on various parts of the human body, including someone's face and organs. This paper aims to introduce a fabrication process for flexible micro LED devices and propose micro LED transfer techniques for cosmetic and medical applications. Flexible micro LED technology holds promise for treating skin disorders, cancers, and neurological diseases.

  • ${\alpha},{\beta}$-Dichlorosuccinic acid was synthesized through the reaction of maleic anhydride with $Cl_2$(g) and ultra violet(200~300nm) wavelength in the presence of $CCl_4$. The second reaction of N-(${\alpha},{\beta}$-dichloro)succinic acid contained glucosamine derivatives(I) was accomplished by a modification of the general acylation using excess ${\alpha},{\beta}$-dichlorosuccinic anhydride in the presence of 2% acetic acid with methanol as a solvent at elevated temperature($70^{\circ}C$). We considered organic acid derivatives were useful especially of treatment for the cultivating porphyra and skin beauty culture.

  • A 5-year-old, female Poodle and her daughter, 2-year-old, were referred to Konkuk University Veterinary Teaching Hospital (KVTH) due to discoloration of hair on dorsum, and generalized alopecia following clipping. Some papules and pustules are found on patch area. Complete blood counts and serum chemistry profiles were not remarkable. Trichogram revealed that melanin-granule was pigmented on hair bulb and shaft in affected area and no melanin pigmentation was noted in non-patch area. And skin biopsy showed mild epidermal hyperplasia and mild inflammation in dermis of the patch area. This case report indicates that melanotrichia can be occurred by postclipping inflammation. However, the mechanism of melanocyte proliferation and rates of melanogenesis in response to postclipping remains to be unclear in these cases.
