The Converged Analysis of the Effect of Physical Education Class Satisfaction on the College Life Satisfaction and Academic Persistence (교양체육수업의 만족이 대학생활만족도 및 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향의 융합적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of physical education class satisfaction on the college life satisfaction, and academic persistence to provide the basic information for the effective higher education policy increasing the academic persistence. By analyzing a total of 185 surveys from college students that take the physical education class, this study found followings. First, physical education class satisfaction had a significant direct effect on the college life satisfaction(+). Second, college life satisfaction had a significant direct effect on the academic persistence(+). Third, physical education class satisfaction didn't had a significant direct effect on the academic persistence. Fourth, physical education class satisfaction had a significant indirect effect on the academic persistence mediated by the college life satisfaction.

A Study on the Influence of Education Service Quality of Online Dance Education on User Satisfaction, Intention to Continue Use, and Intention to Continue Study (온라인 무용교육의 교육서비스품질이 사용자만족, 지속사용의도, 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Since the outbreak of Corona 19, Universities and Lifelong Education Center's arts and sports classes are mainly conducted online. Unfortunately, even in dance where practical practice through face-to-face classes is important, the satisfaction of students is falling because of the limitations of online education. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the quality of education service they feel. In addition, since their academic departure is increasing, we intend to comprehensively study user satisfaction, continuous use intention, and academic continuity intention related to online education. This study confirmed the causal relationship between these 4 variables through exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, model fit and validity verification, and path analysis. As a result of the study, 3 out of 6 hypotheses were adopted, and the of education service quality had a positive effect on satisfaction and use in online dance education. But there was also a limit that did not affect the intention to continue the study. In order to solve fundamental problems such as academic departure, follow-up studies taking into account more diverse social variables are needed.

Influence of Beauty Major Students' Motivation for Major Selection and Sense of Belonging on Learning Persistence Intention : A Comparison between General and Cyber Universities (미용전공자의 전공선택동기와 소속감에 따른 학업지속의도 : 일반대학과 원격대학 비교)

  • Universities that previously targeted in 20s have recently diversified their operation methods, founding purposes, and target. With a significant decrease in the school-age population relative to the number of universities, universities are making their best efforts to secure new students and minimize student attrition. In this study, an online survey was conducted to empirically examine the effects of motivation for major selection and sense of belonging on learning persistence intention among students in beauty-related departments at 2-year and 4-year general universities and cyber universities. The collected data from 119 students at general universities and 113 students at cyber universities were analyzed using SPSS 28. The key findings can be summarized as follows: For general universities, motivation for major selection did not have a significant effect on learning persistence intention, but sense of belonging had a significant positive effect. Additionally, an interaction effect was observed, indicating that as the sense of belonging increased, extrinsic motivation significantly increased learning persistence intention. For cyber universities, intrinsic motivation and sense of belonging among motivations for major selection had a significant positive effect on learning persistence intention, while the moderating effect of sense of belonging in the relationship between motivation for major selection and learning persistence intention was not significant. In summary, for general universities, the factor that influenced students' learning persistence intention was a sense of belonging to the university, while for cyber universities, intrinsic motivation played a significant role. These findings are expected to provide meaningful insights and data for universities to develop effective policies for preventing student attrition.

The Effect of Academic Stress and ASE(Attitude-Social Influence-Self Efficacy) Model Factors on Academic Persistence of Online University Students (원격대학 학습자의 학업스트레스와 ASE 모델 요인이 학업지속의도에 미치는 영향)

  • An analysis including ASE model accessing based on the intention of behavior performance of online university students is a new approach to improve academic persistence considering the characteristics of students with extensive personal variables, a uniqueness of learning environment. This study aimed to identify the relationship between ASE model including academic stress and academic persistence, and the effect of these factors on academic persistence of online university students. Data were collected from 181 sophomores in K open university from March to June, 2018. Frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2-test$, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis used for data analysis. For factors affecting academic persistence, academic stress (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.016), online learning attitude (${\beta}=.44$, p<.001), and social support among social influential factors (${\beta}=.16$, p=.045) were statistically significant and the prediction model of academic persistence showed 29% explanation power (F=15.76, p<.001). To enhance academic persistence of online university students, it is needed to develop programs to reduce academic stress, improve attitude toward online learning, and improve social support.

Factors Affecting College Freshmen's Intention to Drop Out (전문대학 신입생의 학업중단의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors which influence dropout intention of college freshmen. For this purpose, the freshmen were collected from A University in Gyeonggi Province from October 16 to 30, 2017. We analyzed 1,369 data in terms of the individual, family, educational institution, and social factors using t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression. The major findings of the study are as follows. First, individual factors which influence dropout intention of freshmen are overall university satisfaction, the degree to which they think their majors fit them, the degree to which they are willing to recommend their department to others, a plan to dropout, and a plan to take a leave of absence. Second, the family factors are the encouragement of parents and family to do well in college. Third, educational institution factors are satisfaction with the curriculum of majors, a sense of belonging to department, the degree to which the professors instill career vision and self-esteem, and satisfaction with college facilities. Fourth, social factors are the degree they think going to college was a good choice in their life and the degree they think knowledge learned in college is helpful to them. Based on the results, the study suggested what to be considered at professors, school personnel, and university level and discussed how to reduce dropout rate of freshmen in university.

  • 오늘날 아동들은 수많은 글을 올리고 읽으면서 웹 서핑을 한다. 어떤 글들은 웹사이트의 성격에 맞는 글인가 하면, 때로 대단히 공격적인 글들도 있다 순전히 자발적으로 개시하는 아동들의 글에 교사가 의도적인 답변을 하면서 게시판에 오르는 아동들의 글을 조사하고, 교사의 답변에 아동들은 얼마나 신속하게 대응하며, 학습태도와 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 아울러 웹사이트 게시판에 올리는 아동들의 게시물에 교사가 지속적으로 대응하여 학업성취도 변화 정도를 고찰하고 학습태도를 변화시켜 학업성취도가 향상되게 유인하였다.

  • This study is to investigate the causality of participation motivation, self-efficacy, self-respect and ceaseless participation intention of college students who joined mind growth program. Based on the outcome of previous studies, hypothesis and research model of this article was designed, and subjects of authentic analysis were 88 college students in mind growth program. The conclusion of this survey thru fitness levels of path model and analysis of covariance with hypothesis verification is as follows. The higher participation motivation of college students who joined mind growth program is, the higher self-efficacy and self-respect are getting. The higher participation motivation and self-efficacy thru self-respect are, the higher ceaseless participation intention is getting.

Satisfaction with Online Classes of Nursing Students: Focused on Nursing Theoretical Courses

  • In this paper, I propose the level of satisfaction with online classes of nursing students and its influencing factors. The participants was 175 nursing students who had enrolled in H university located at Chungcheongbuk-do. The data was collected using a questionnaire which consisted of satisfaction with online classes, learner's efforts, instructor's efforts, interpersonal interaction, and university's supports. The mean score for satisfaction with online classes(scores ranged form 1 to 5) was 3.99. The influencing factors of satisfaction with online classes were intention of using online(p<.001), academic achievement(p=.003), instructor's effort(p=.038), and evaluation of class and management(p=.044), and its explanatory power was 50.2%. The most important things to improve online learning were instructor in problem of operation and server capacity and sound in problem of techniques. Based on the theses results, in order to increase satisfaction with online classes, it is needed to develop strategies to improve intention of using online and academic achievement. Also, instructor's efforts and university's active supports were considered to increase satisfaction with online classes among nursing students.

A Study on the Field Learning Program Perception of College Students Majoring in Aviation Service (항공서비스전공 대학생의 현장학습 프로그램 인식에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzes the perceptions of college students majoring in aviation services according to the field learning program conducted during their major studies in order to reflect the educational value and academic awareness of the experience of the experiential field learning program. A survey is conducted targeting college students who experience a field learning program conducted by the Aviation Service Department of J University, a four-year university in the Chungcheong region. ANOVA (one-way analysis of variance) is conducted to analyze differences in perceptions of field learning properties, learning satisfaction, academic self-efficacy, and intention to continue studying. Additionally, text mining is conducted using 'Voyant Tools' to analyze students' field trip logs regarding field trip learning program activities. I hope that the results will be used as evidence to build an efficient and systematic learning strategy for operating field learning programs.

Effect of Academic Attitude on Academic Satisfaction of College Students in China: Indirect Effect of Sincerity and Conditional Indirect Effect of Gender (중국 대학생의 학업태도가 학업만족도에 미치는 영향: 성실성의 간접효과와 성별의 조건부 간접효과)

  • With the continuous development of higher education, the academic satisfaction of college students has become one of the important indicators to evaluate the quality of education and student development. Therefore, this study aims to explore the role of gender in academic attitude, sincerity, and academic satisfaction of college students in China. The subject of the study was selected by using the purposive sampling method, and data were collected using the survey method. 400 questionnaires were distributed to college students in Guangzhou, China, and 388 questionnaires were used for the final analysis. For statistical analysis, SPSS PC+ Win. ver. 26.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2 were used, and frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and conditional indirect effect analysis were performed. The research results are as follows. First, academic attitude had a significant positive correlation with sincerity, gender, and academic satisfaction. Second, gender moderated the intermediary role of academic attitude on academic satisfaction through sincerity. This study indicated that different strategies are needed according to gender to improve academic satisfaction using academic attitude and sincerity of college students. Based on the results, plans to improve the academic satisfaction of college students were suggested.
