A study on self-regulated learning and UDL study model Implementation for e-mentoring system (자기조절학습과 UDL설계 학습모형을 적용한 e-멘토링 시스템 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Adult-learners of online education have been distant from studying for a long time and are rather familiar with the old massive education. As a result, despite the excellent ability in self-control learning that results in great academic performances and academic continuity, the learners give up on learning, feeling depressed for not being able to perform their advantage, the self-control learning ability. The study developed a self-control learning model and UDL design learning model in order to establish e-mentoring system. For the analysis on results of the experiment, the researcher extracted academic grade, the rate of re-register, and the amount of total studying time after dividing new students and transfer students of H cyber university into the control group and the experimental group. In conclusion, the results showed that more satisfied the control group is, the higher academic achievements and the higher academic continuity are accomplished.

The Current Status of Life and Happiness of Out of School Youth (학교 밖 청소년의 생활실태와 행복감 관련 변인)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the current status of life and psychological characteristics of 250 out of school youth in Cheonan city, and to identify the factors affecting the happiness. For statistical analysis, SPSS 21.0 were used, and reliability, mean comparison, correlation and multiple regression analysis were applied. First, adolescents who stopped studying due to family problems was lower in self-esteem than those who did for other reasons. Males was higher in happiness than females, and those who were less than two years of drop-out duration than those with over two years. Second, out of school youth used a day as 7.9 sleeping hours, 3.91 working hours. For the places for daily activities, they stayed at home for 10.73 hours, at working place for 3.66 hours. The future plan was the most for job plan. Third, there was a positive correlation between self-esteem, hope, and happiness of adolescents out of school. Fourth, the relative impact on the happiness of out of school youth ranked in the order of self-esteem, hope, employment plans, and household income level.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between game addiction and social stigma of adolescents outside school. After examining the previous research focusing on the Public stigma & Self-stigma theory, We intended to examine how game addiction and social stigma affect each other over time, and the time causal relationship between the both. Using youth outside school panel 3rd, 4th, 5th data, This study analyzed the relationship between game addiction and social stigma of adolescents with school interruption longitudinally. The research method was analyzed by autoregressive cross-lagged model using two variables such as game addiction and social stigma using Amos25 program. The results showed that game addiction did not significantly affect social stigma at the next time, but social stigma had a significant effect on game addiction at the next time. Game addiction and social stigma have a strong auto-regressive effect, and the degree remains constant over time. Accordingly, this study suggested social co-prosperity, support from the local community, multidisciplinary viewpoints and cooperation between the public and private sectors.

An Analysis of Effect of Secondary School Adopting SMART Education Concept (스마트교육 개념을 도입한 중등학교의 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of secondary school SMART education. In order to achieve this, the paper separated the high school which implements the smart education for the high school and the high school which did not apply the smart education concept, then figuring out the answer about what school is more effective, the influence of the smart education concept on the students' emotions and academic achievement. This paper analyzed the effectiveness of SMART Education between Hansol high school in SeJong city and Jungang high school in Gwachen city by using 'schoolinfo (www.schoolinfor.go.kr) SMART education.' This study first presented the SMART Education's concept and characteristics through reviewing some literature, and then categorized the characteristics by using the items included academic achievement and emotional effect. These items consist of the 'students academic scores' for the academic achievement, 'the number of students dropped out' and 'the damage rate of school violence' for the emotional items. The conclusion of this study is that Hansol high school indicates lower school violence rate than Gwachen high schools with the two school's violence rate decreasing. Moreover, students' score of Hansol high school is higher than high schools in Gwachen city. The SMART education school budget structure is 'Common type', which requires a lot of investment to 'Basic education activities', 'educational activities support', 'School general operating expenses' among education budget items.

Predictors of Suicidal Attempts in Adolescents over 5 Years after Dropout Experience: A Longitudinal Study (청소년들의 학업중단 경험 이후 5년 동안 자살시도 예측요인: 종단연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify predictors of suicidal attempts in adolescents over 5 years after school dropout. Methods: The data of the Panel Survey of School Dropouts (of 2013 to 2017) conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The analysis used the 2013 survey data as the baseline and examined suicidal attempts from 2013 to 2017. A total of 776 adolescents were included in the analysis. Descriptive statistics, 𝝌2 test, t-test, and multiple logistic regression were carried out using SAS 9.2. Results: About 11% (87 out of 776) of the adolescents with an experience of dropout attempted suicide between 2013 and 2017. The risk of suicidal attempts was significantly lower in female (AOR: 0.57, 95% CI: 0.87~0.93) than in male adolescents. The higher the self-esteem, the lower the risk of suicidal attempts (AOR: 0.87. 95% CI: 0.78~0.97). The higher the depression level (AOR: 1.10, 95% CI: 1.05~1.16) and the rate of parental abuse (AOR: 1.09, 95% CI: 1.02~1.18), the higher the risk of suicidal attempts. Conclusion: The findings of the study suggest that those who are male, depressed, have low self-esteem or have been abused by their parents are at high risk of suicidal attempts among the adolescents with dropout experiences. Therefore, early intervention is necessary for those at high risk.

청년 창업가의 심리적 회복탄력성이 창업역량, 창업동기에 미치는 영향

  • 최근 높은 청년실업률과 평생직장의 개념이 축소된 현대사회에 청년들은 평생직장을 찾기 보단 자신의 역량을 발휘하여 조기창업을 선호하고 있지만 창업 이후 사업유지의 불안, 인적자원관리, 생계유지에 대한 불안이 매우 높다. 이런 요인은 청년들이 창업을 유지하며 자신의 잠재된 창업역량 및 창업 유지에 부정적 영향을 미치며 청년의 창업 불안은 개인의 심리적소진을 야기하고 창업에 대한 동기가 약화되어 사업을 운영·유지에 어려움을 겪고 조기 폐업으로 연결되며 청년부채, 청년 심리문제, 청년 학업중단등 심리적 및 사회적문제로 확대되고 있다. 따라서 창업역량. 창업동기와 심리적 회복탄력성과의 상관관계 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 청년창업가의 심리적 회복탄련성의 요인이 창업동기와 창업역량에 미치는 영향을 사전 조사하고 분석하고자 한다. 본 연구를 토대로 청년의 심리적 회복탄력성을 높이고 창업 역량, 창업동기의 긍정적 영향을 미치기 위한 심리상담, 창업 관련 사회심리교육 및 심리서비스 지원등 해결방안을 모색하여 사회에 기여하고자 한다. 본 연구의 대상은 충청남도에 창업을 준비하는 청년들을 포함하여 창업활동을 하고 있는 만 20세~28세의 청년이다. 이를 위해 창업 청년 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS 28.0을 활용하여 자료를 분석하려 한다.

The Influence of Career Barrier on Smart-phone Addiction through Self-esteem and Depression among Out-of-school Adolescents (학교 밖 청소년의 진로장애가 자아존중감과 우울을 통해 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide implications for social work practice by examining the influence of career barrier on smart-phone addiction through self-esteem and depression among out-of-school adolescents. Using data from the Panel Survey of School Dropouts conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute, this study examined the research questions by analyzing the direct and indirect influences of career barrier on smart-phone addiction with the PROCESS macro method. First, the results of this study showed that out-of-school adolescents' career barrier statistically significantly increased smart-phone addiction. Also, out-of-school adolescents' depression mediated the influence of career barrier on smart-phone addiction, but out-of-school adolescents' self-esteem did not mediate the influence. However, out-of-school adolescents' self-esteem and depression dual-mediated the influence of career barrier on smart-phone addiction. The level of career barrier decreased the level of self-esteem, and in turn increased the level of depression, and finally increased the level of smart-phone addiction. Based on the findings, practical strategies to address the smart-phone addiction of out-of-school adolescents were discussed.

The Influence of College Choice Factors on Intention to Dropout of First-year Undergraduates in STEM Majors (이공계 신입생의 대학선택요인이 학업중단의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of college choice factors on withdrawal intention of first-year undergraduates in STEM majors. The data for this study were collected from a national sample of 4-year institutions that participated in Collegiate Longitudinal Study funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea during 2013-2014. The data included 1,484 students in STEM majors from 30 institutions, and this study used bivariate and multivariate analytic methods to answer the research questions. This study found that while the internal dimensions of college choice showed a negative effect on the intention to dropout, external dimensions of college choice such as college environment, financial accessibility, admission possibility had a positive effect on the intention. The findings indicate that it is necessary to pay attention to college choice for enrollment management to prevent first-year undergraduates in STEM majors from dropping out.

Impact of Family Violence Victimization on Peer Violence Behavior in Out-of-School Youths : Mediating Effect of Anxiety and Aggression (학교 밖 청소년의 가정폭력피해와 또래폭력가해와의 관계: 불안과 공격성의 매개효과)

  • The aim of this study is to identify factors that the victimization by family violence has influence on peer violence perpetration through the mediation of anxiety and aggression in out-of-school youths. Subjects consist of 169 out-of-school youths in Chungbuk and data are analyzed by regression analysis with 18.0 version. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the victimization by family violence has positive influence on peer violence perpetration. Second, when the mediating effect of anxiety and aggression is tested, aggression only plays a mediating role between family violence victimization and peer violence behavior. On the basis of the results, this study suggest that we make efforts such as prompt intervention for out-of-school youths and their's family after school dropout, the reinforcement of family relationship, family function and youth competency, and the transition of social perception regarding out-of-school youths to decrease family and peer violence.

Living Experience of Unmarried Mothers before Childbirth (출산 전 양육비혼모 삶의 경험)

  • The purpose of this study was to give a deep understanding of the structure and essence of the living experiences for unmarried mothers before childbirth and before pregnancy. As results, the theme 'days stained with wounds' reveals the living experience that they were abandoned or not protected by parents due to broken family relationships and function. In the theme 'daily life at stake', to drop out of school and running away from home led them to precarious life. And also they were early exposed to sexual intercourse due to indiscriminate sexual culture and poor sex awareness. The theme 'embarrassing pregnancy' shows that unmarried mothers got pregnant caused by their partners'refusal to practice contraception, their incorrect knowledge of the contraception, and the use of incorrect contraceptive methods. In the final theme 'childbirth decided on with difficulty', even if unmarried mothers had no choice in childbirth because they noticed their pregnancy too late, they rejected abortion and decided to give birth as they realize preciousness of life. Based on the results of this study, the necessity of implementing sex education to provide accurate contraceptive knowledge and methods for male, as well as strengthening sex education for unmarried mothers was discussed.
