  • This study analyzed Korean students' affective characteristics in mathematical learning according to school and sex by Factor Analysis and Cognitive Diagnosis Theory. In numerical affective achievements by Factor Analysis, there are mean differences between schools, i.e. elementary school and secondary school. And there are sexual differences within schools and boys show more positive achievement than girls. By Cognitive Diagnosis Theory, I investigated 6 affective attributes' proportions that students achieved according to school and sex. Middle school students' proportion is highest in self-control and anxiety and the attribute that students achieved most in all school is cognizing mathematical value. Boys show higher proportion in self directivity, interest and confidence than girls, but girls show higher proportion in anxiety than boys. In personal profiles, the proportion of students who achieved 5 attributes except anxiety is highest.

  • This study was aimed at identifying the factors of creative ability influencing problem-solving skills for University students majoring in nursing science. A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 248 students enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate academic program for nursing in one University located in an urban area of Korea. This study used: (a) 25 items of Process Behavior Survey, and (b) 35 items of the Integrative Creativity Scale. The data were collected from Nov. 8th toward Nov. 26th, 2010; the research was conducted through voluntary participation after an explanation about the research. The data were also analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program, using Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression methods. Mean score of the level of problem-solving process was 3.62(${\pm}.448$). Problem-solving process was significantly related to creative ability(p<.01). Problem-solving process was significantly influenced by flexibility and elaboration in account for 42.4%. These results imply that in order to foster problem-solving ability, nursing professors need to develop nursing students' creative ability and its factors.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the convergence factors affecting professional identity perceived by the emotional labor of clinical practice and self-esteem in some dental hygiene students. The questionnaire was conducted in 205 dental hygiene students from 3 university in Jeollanam-do area. The data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Professional identity correlated positively with self-esteem(r=0.366, p<0.01), negatively with emotional labor of clinical practice(r=-0.213, p<0.01). The convergence factors influencing professional identity were satisfaction level with majors(${\beta}=0.434$), self-esteem(${\beta}=0.236$) and emotional labor of clinical practice(${\beta}=-0.199$). The regression model explained 34.6% of professional identity. Therefore, to enhance professional identity in dental hygiene students, it is required to program development to improve satisfaction level of with majors, self-esteem and management of emotional labor of clinical practice.

  • This study investigated the background of the intellectual ability that consists of family environment, intellectual priority, career aims, intellectual extracurricular activities of the students who were selected for the Science Gifted Education Center. We performed a survey and analysis of the students at the Science Gifted Education Center in order to explore their learning attitudes and intellectual ability, as well as the elements that represent their attitudes. As a result of the study, I found that the students in the Science Gifted Education Center generally had good economic and family backgrounds that showed no significant hardship in supporting the students. The families were also highly educated intellectually. In case the talented students in Science desired to be pure scientists, they liked the Science subjects and enjoyed reading science books. It was mostly the male students that took part. As for the attitude toward intellectual ability, they expected to improve their abilities as they gained knowledge and increased their intelligence through learning, although they didn't confide with us on their intelligence quotients. There were four factors for these attitudes. They include the high expectation of them by others; confidence and ease of mind regarding the assignment; the expectation for improvement in intelligence and ability through learning; and, confidence in intelligence and positive attitude in the participation situatio

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the sexual related predicting factors for Female University students in Korea. The cross-sectional descriptive study design was used. We selected 320 students from 6 Universities located in Seoul, Chungchung-do and Gangwon-do by convenience random sampling and received IRB from Y Univ. 299 students were included in the final analysis using logistic regression. Among 299 students, 60.2% of students reported to have sexual experience. The result of analyzing the related factors to sexual experience revealed that the students who were having friends who had sexual experience, smokers and those who were high grade, had significantly more sexual experience. According to the results of this study, there should be an intensive and female tailed sexual related program development for the University students, especially for smokers and including smoking cessation program. And the school health services of University combined general staff working should be strengthened to protect the University students from the critical situation caused by unwanted sexual experience.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of stress factors of student pilots on mental health, and to reduce the safe and efficient misconduct education and psychological disharmony by identifying the psychological buffering role of stress coping style and social support. In order to achieve the research purpose, a research model and hypothesis were presented based on previous studies, and regression analysis and mediation effect verification were conducted through a questionnaire survey of 202 student pilots. As a result of the analysis, factors such as flight stress, values stress, professor stress, and friend relationship stress have been shown to affect emotional conditions or psychological well-being. Also we found that the parameters of disengagement coping, family/friend support and organization Support had a mediating effect on the factors between student pilot stress and psychological health. Therefore, student pilots need to manage problems and negative emotions that may cause from flight training, value distractions, professor and friendships' relationship and it is suggested that organization support for training and safety related to emotional support and delinquency of family and friends.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the awareness of temporomandibular disorders in high school students and to provide basic data for the development of easy-to-access program to help the management of temporomandibular disorders. For data collection, convenience sampling was performed among academic high school students in Daejeon and North Jeolla Province to complete a self-administered questionnaire from December 1 to 30, 2019. The statistical analysis was conducted by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted. Oral parafunctional habits were positively correlated with trait anxiety and both of them were positively correlated with the perceived symptoms of temporomandibular disorders. The most influential factors on the awareness symptoms of temporomandibular disorders in high school students were oral parafunctional habits, health habits, and trait anxiety. It is necessary to make positive communication and intervention, which meets high school age, in coping well with anxiety and managing oral parafunctional habits and apply an oral health promotion program that involves socio-psychological efforts to prevent them.

We selected 810 students from 14 elementary school located in Chungchung-do and Gangwon-do by convenience random sampling and received IRB from Y Univ. 810 students were included in the final analysis using generalized linear model. Among 810 students, 7.3% of students reported to have smoking experience. The result of analyzing the smoking affect factors for smoking students who were having friends who had smoking experience, unable to smoking suggestion and those who were male, had significantly more smoking experience. According to the results of this study, there should be an intensive tailed smoking related program development for male elementary students, especially for smokers who have smoking friend and including smoking refusing program. • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between learning motivation and task commitment and find sub factors of learning motivation that affect task commitment. For this study 30 science gifted student (4th and 5th grade in elementary school) participated. The survey instruments used for this study were Academic Motivation Scale and Task Commitment Scale. The statistical methods employed for data analysis were the correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of this study were as follows: First, the learning motivation and task commitment of science gifted students showed similar levels. But there was differences of strength each sub factors of learning motivation and task commitment. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between learning motivation and task commitment. Also, learning motivation has the explanatory power of predictive variable for the task commitment approximately 49.3%. Expecially learning motivation has significant positive correlation with responsibility and self-control that sub factors of task commitment. Among the sub factor of learning motivation, confidence has most correlations with sub factors of task commitment and significant impact on task commitment. This result indicate that we need to develop learning motivation to improve task commitment and especially develop learning motivation program to grow up confidence of science-gifted.
