This study aims to identify the effects of teachers' recognition and application of 2015 revised national curriculum on their educational information needs in high schools. Several in-depth interviews and a questionnaire survey with the teachers, who were in charge of teaching common courses, such as Korean language, mathematics, English, social studies, and science, in general public high schools in Incheon, were executed for the purpose. As a result, the teachers' recognition and application affected their educational information needs in part. Especially, new demands on small sized copies and learning information sources were identified which were related to the application of 2015 revised national curriculum. Based on the results, we proposed several improvements of school library operations, such as small sized local consortium for sharing resources and providing referral services, in order to strengthen the gateway role of school libraries.

In recent years, inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms and special classrooms in mainstream schools has been a major stream of special education. However education for teacher librarians in Korea has not been responsive to these trends. A few of departments of library & information science in Korea universities offer courses that include information about special needs students. This study addressed the implications of inclusive education, the roles of school library and the training needs of teacher librarians for service to special needs students. And it analyzed tendency and current states of teacher librarians education on inclusive education. As a result, it is recommended that departments of library & information science in Korean universities offer more courses concerning educational support for special needs students in their curriculum and include of special modules in their most of courses offered to enhance the skill of future teacher librarians to cater for special educational needs.

The purpose of this study is to analyze inquiry tasks of social studies textbooks of the first term focused on the information literacy process and find out teacher librarians' educational information services in elementary schools. Results of the analysis show that there are 69 inquiry tasks. Among them 60 tasks are individual tasks. Within the information literacy process, the 4th grade students seem to resolve their tasks by researching or investigating resources, arranging and presenting the results of inquiry individually. The 5th and 6th grade students could read visual materials written in the text books to perform the individual inquiry tasks and present their results orally. So teacher librarian can help students judge proper information resources of the second step, order the found information of the 3rd step and evaluate the results and process of 4th step under the information literacy process.

This paper investigates the Bunko, the center of Japanese children's reading movement, and its impact on the development of Japanese school library. Paper is consisted by two parts , one subject is the programs and the law made by government which is related to either the school library or children's reading, the other is Bunko movements initiated by citizen mostly mothers who wish to improve their children's reading environment. The Bunko movements started in 1960's and motivate the establishment of public libraries in 1970's, and it has triggered activating the school library after early 1990's. By analyzing the relationships of the two subjects it can be concluded that they are tightly connected each other by emphasizing the function of school library not as a teaching-learning center but as a reading facility. It makes difficult for the Japanese school library to establish the most important function of supporting curriculum.

The purpose of the study is to develop a unit catalog system that can be linked with the curriculum. As for the research method, first, unit subject words were extracted through the analysis of middle school curriculum and science textbooks in all grades. Based on this, we designed a unit catalog system that has a unit book catalog by connecting books related to the unit topic of the subject, an index word catalog that organizes unit subject words into index words, and a grade and school level linked subject linked to the unit topic as a subsystem. Using the Notion program, a unit catalog system was implemented on the web using a middle school science unit 1 as a sample. To evaluate the system, experiments and surveys were conducted targeting students, and very positive results were shown in terms of satisfaction with the system and intention to use it in the future. Meanwhile, this study was limited to middle school science departments, but it was proposed to expand the application to all grades and subjects.

The purpose of this study is to structure the system of reading strategy contents and seek a subject linkage method through using it. In order to establish the contents of reading strategy, the 2015 Korean High School Revised National Curriculum's contents system and advanced research were looked at. From that curricula, text areas(the types and fields, meaning structure) and cognitive strategy(reading methods and skills) are deduced and categorized. In addition to reading techniques reorganized by referring to worksheets of advanced researches, the system of reading strategy contents was made. As the result of applying it to the learning activities of "he Integrated Society" and "he Integrated Science" a subject linkage to learn the learning contents proposed providing a variety of reading materials related to the subject and running extended reading programs.

The aim of this study is to analyze the effect and limitation of teacher librarians' self-reported appraisals and suggest it's activation plans about school library based instruction (SLBI). According to results of analyses, the SLBI begin with subject teachers' demand for learning materials and teacher librarians play their educational role in Information search & access and representation & synthesis of information during the instruction. Compared with previous studies, the limitations of SLBI we can see in this study are restricted role of teacher librarians, exclusive attitude and antipathy to classroom opening of subject teachers under the SLBI. The bars of promoting the SLBI are also the difficulty of collaborative working with several same subject teachers and subject classroom system. The ways of activating the SLBI suggested in their self-reported appraisals are building intimacy with subject teachers and participating actively curriculum council, peer-supervision and demonstration classes.

The purposes of this study were to develop lesson plans of library assisted practical problem-based teaching-learning for 'life and career planning' unit in high school Technology Home Economics Subject and to compare the learning effect of this lesson plan with that of practical problem-based teaching-learning in class. The change in student's perception about home economics subject was also compared after two types of teaching-learning process. The contents of the high school Technology Home Economics textbooks and curriculum guide book for the year of 2007 curriculum revision were analyzed. Based on these analysis 10 library assisted practical problem-based teaching-learning lesson plans on 'life and carrer planning' unit were developed. The high school students living in Gyeonggi province as an experimental group participated in library assisted practical problem-based teaching-learning. The control group of students who had same condition with the experimental group were taught by same lesson plans in class. After the experiment, the changes in attitudes toward life and career planning and in perception about Home Economics subject were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. The more significant positive attitudes toward life and career planning were found in the experimental group of students compared with those of the control group of students. And compared with the control group of students, the experimental group of student perceived more positively about characteristics of Home Economics subject. Thus, the following conclusion was made that the library assisted practical problem-based teaching-learning could be one of the useful teaching-learning methods to improve attitude toward life and career planning and perception about Home Economics subject.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that affect the educational service of school libraries and to seek effective ways to revitalize the services following an analysis of the influence size and the cause and effect of each factor. For this, after deciding the variables through a comprehensive investigation based on documentary research, the variables were operationalized. These variables are school members' recognition and support, teacher librarians' expertise, cooperation between teachers and teacher librarians, the school curriculum, a shortage of teacher librarians' time, the educational environment and educational services. Fourteen hypotheses on the cause and effect among the seven variables were analyzed by applying SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The result is that the key factors of educational services are teacher librarians' expertise, cooperation between subject teachers and teacher librarians, and the school curriculum. As a result, active methods for the educational services of school libraries were sought.

In this paper, I studied on reading instruction in the school library. Reading instruction is a very important role of school library. And it is an essential element of school education. In this paper, I tried an application of constructivism for reading instruction. Information literacy instruction of school library includes reading instruction. So the pattern of information literacy instruction of school library was accepted as reading instruction pattern of school library in this paper. And then constructivism for learning principle and reading strategies as reading instruction was analyzed in this paper. Gerard J. Westhoff categorized reading strategies into 4 parts. I applied this categorization of reading strategies to the reading instruction pattern. And I analyzed and synthesized these relative constructivism elements and reading strategies for the reading instruction pattern in this paper.
