This research aims to examine the efficiency and effectiveness of the governmental policies promoting IPTV by verifying their influences on the adoption empirically. The government unveiled several policies including creating demands in public sectors, developing diverse public contents, subsidizing the production of converged contents, easing the regulations to promote IPTV industry. While a lot of previous literature has already proved that a system quality, a content quality, and a perceived price have influences on the adoption of IPTV, the effects of governmental policies are not well understood despite of their contributions to the adoption. Rather, most of existing research on governmental policies in the context of technology adoption have focused on regulatory frameworks. The results of the study show that governmental policies have influences on consumers' perceived system quality and content quality. It is also found that perceived system quality, content quality and perceived price have influences on adoption intention. This study can contribute to the field in a way that it proves the important roles of governmental policies in the diffusion of new technologies including IPTV.

Remanufacturing refers to restoring a used product to an acceptable condition for resale in the market of remanufactured items. In this paper, we deal with the acquisition price and remanufacturing decision for remanufacturing systems in the case where the demand for the remanufactured product in a single period is known and the return quantity of the used product is determined by its acquisition price. The quality of the acquired used product is categorized into two classes, high and low, through inspection and different qualities incur different remanufacturing costs. The probability that the acquired used product is categorized as high class can be a constant or random variable. We derive the expected total cost functions, obtain the optimal solutions, and interpret the managerial meaning of the optimal solution for each case. The sensitivity of the optimal solution with respect to the variation of the inspection cost and uncertainty of the quality of the used product is investigated through numerical examples.

This study is intended to look into the structural relationship between SCM activity, process innovation and quality performance in small and medium sized enterprisers(SMEs). To achieve this, a survey was empirically carried out to 354 SCM operating officers and managers who perform the SCM activities in small and medium sized manufacturing firms. The results are summarized as follows. Overall, the SCM activity and process innovation had a significant effect on the quality performance, having a structural relationship with the quality performance in SEMs. This implies that the strategic alliance of the SCM activities and competence concentration based on technology development in SEMs can organize the unity through organizational members' information sharing. In other words, when the information integration supports the compatibility and reliability of shared information system by raising technological competence through this, the process innovation can lead to non-financial cost reduction, product quality, delivery compliance and inventory cost reduction as quality performance of the structured process, management and distribution.

Despite of advanced plans from Korean government to encourage Korean medical tourism, the medical tourism in Korea is still under competitive compared to the countries including Thailand, Singapore, and India, in which the government has been driving the development in industries of medical tourism, Moreover, the studies identifying the factors affecting tourists' satisfaction has not been actively performed up to date. Therefore, this study attempts to investigate the influences of quality of medical service, accessibility, cost adequacy, and quality of tourism of Korean medical tourism on Chinese tourists' satisfaction and revisit intention. For the purpose of empirical study, a survey has been conducted to Chinese medical tourists. Findings are as follows. First, the factors of medical tourism attributes including quality of medical service, cost adequacy, and quality of tourism have turned out to have positive effects on medical tourists' satisfaction. Second, tourists' satisfaction has a positive effect on revisit intention.

본 논문에서는 편재 컴퓨팅(ubiquitous and pervasive computing) 환경에 입력 시스템으로 사용하는 센서 네트워크에서 측정한 데이터의 품질 (sampling rate and quantization depth) 을 보증하며 네트워크 트래픽 또는 소모전력과 같은 비용을 최소화하기 위한 방법으로, 휴리스틱 알고리즘에 의한 비주기적 샘플링과 신뢰성 있는 전송규약을 사용하는 비주기적 전송방식을 제안한다. 그리고 제안한 비주기적 전송방식에 핵심기술인 신뢰성 있는 전송 규약의 비용을 최적화하기 위한 방법으로 ACK방식과 NACK방식을 패킷 에러율과 동일한 라우터를 사용하는 이웃 노드의 수와 같은 네트워크 상황에 따라 상보적으로 사용하는 상보적 방식(alternative method)을 제안하고, 전체 통신규약을 설계하며, 해석을 통해 성능을 분석하고, 네트워크 상태에 따라 두 방식의 성능상의 우열이 전환되는 전환점을 유도한다. 제안하는 상보형 신뢰성 있는 전송규약은 전체 센서 네트워크에서 처리되는 패킷의 비트 수를 최소화해, 각 노드의 총 전력 소모의 20-60%를 차지하는 통신모듈의 소비 전력을 줄일 수 있어 전력소모를 크게 개선 할 수 있다. 나아가서 다양한 센서 네트워크에서 설계한 전송규약을 바탕으로 하는 제안하는 비주기적 전송방식을 활용한다면 최적의 비용으로 측정하는 데이터의 품질을 보증할 수 있다.

This study investigates the behavior of users using delivery apps as non-face-to-face lifestyles accelerated due to the 4th industrial revolution era and Covid 19. Specifically, this study examines the effect of customers' perceived service quality on the conversion cost, customer satisfaction, and continuous use intention. Based on the results, the main purpose of this study is to provide useful information and implications for entrants (restaurants) who have signed up and operated and platforms that connect customers, restaurants, and delivery people.

In this paper, mobile multimedia service is defined as a service which is used for Internet or multimedia contents without regard to place in the mobile or wireless environment. The purpose of this paper is to search consumer's purchase decision factors by means of literature review and expert's opinion and to analyze a purchase decision structure and its weight. Some implications were found. Firstly, mobile multimedia service purchase factors relating to cost and quality are more important than external causes. Secondly, cost is more important than quality, that is different from result of mobile telecommunication and high-speed Internet service. Thirdly, direct effect such as pertinent charging and terminal price is more important than indirect effect such as pricing differentiation. Finally, main features of service such as mobility and contents are more important than additional characteristics such as personalized service.

Cloud computing helps users to save a significant amount of cost that is related to infrastructure investment, management, and maintenance. In this paper, we study the conversion planning from campus legacy web servers into an integrated cloud computing web server system. We also analyze the conversion profit when campus web servers are integrated into a cloud computer. We first investigate the cost of legacy system model of campus web servers operated by individual laboratories, departments, institutes and so on. Next, we set up a cloud computer model for the integrated web services meeting the same performance requirements. Then, we derive the conversion profit. From the result of the derivation, we see that the conversion can be effectively applied to and adopted by mid or large sized campuses and similar institutions that provide web services.

Even though software industry has been activated, there lack in results of studies on evaluation effort and cost of software systems including Information Technology Security System (ITSS). In this paper, we present a process and a tool for evaluation effort and cost of ITSS, which are conformed to a ITSS evaluation criteria(i. e., Common Criteria or ISO/IEC 15408), by utilizing Evaluation Work Break-down Structure (EWBS) and conventional software development cost estimation methods. Even though we concentrate on ITSS, results of this paper can be applied to estimation of effort and cost of evaluation of software development process and software products.

인터넷의 급격한 성장으로 인해 무선 네트워크에서의 인터넷 서비스 수요가 급증하고 있다. 이에 따라 시그널링 비용의 증가와 핸드오프 지연이 네트워크의 부하를 비롯, 통신 품질 저하 등의 문제점들을 야기했고, 이를 해결하기 위해 HMIPv6(Hierarchical Mobile IPv6)와 IP 페이징 기법들이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 HMIPv6 환경에서 이동노드의 특성을 고려하여 각각의 이동노드에게 적합한 MAP 도메인과 페이징 영역을 동시에 설정하는 기법(Adaptive Dynamic scheme)을 제안하여, 이때 PAMAP(Paging Agent MAP)이라는 새로운 개념을 제시한다. 이를 통해 동적 페이징에서의 불필요한 시그널링 비용을 줄임으로써 전체 네트워크의 부하를 줄여, 궁극적으로 통신 품질의 향상을 기대할 수 있다.
