RP-ISD모델을 활용한 참여적 패션디자인 교육프로그램 개발 (Participatory Fashion Design Education Program based on RP-ISD Model)

  • This study aimed to develop an education program for fashion design that can deliver knowledge and techniques to enhance the capability of participatory fashion designers. The framework for education program was established based on the RP (Rapid Prototype) model, and the developing process of education program was structured and systemized. As a result, this study proposed the circulated RP-ISD model, which is designed to revise and complement the educational objectives, strategy and evaluation tool by iterative prototype, and purposed to be consistent in carrying out the instructional systems design. Furthermore, the systematic developing process and the assessment criteria of design education program for ten weeks was proposed. This result could be used as a base study of participatory fashion design and contribute to systemization of education programs in design field. Furthermore, it could foster the possibility of an alternative education model in fashion design.

패션제품 판매 훈련교육 프로그램을 위한 직무역량 연구 (Job competencies required for a sales training program in fashion shop)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine job competencies for sales training program development to maximize profits in fashion retailing. An empirical online survey was conducted from September to December 2019, and data was collected from 200 salespeople and store managers working in fashion stores. Results were analyzed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, variance analysis, and regression analysis with SPSS 25.0. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, the most important job competencies identified by fashion store managers were: sales sense know-how, customer service skills, and sales person's fashion style sense, product knowledge, fashion marketing and customer management. The job competency factors for sales training programs included empathy with the customer, product knowledge, communications and networking, basic job requirement, and sales skills. These five factors positively influenced the employment intentions and expectations of work performance of graduates. These factors also had a positive influence on the need of sales training program and intention to participate in retraining. Store managers in fashion retail thought the most appropriate period for on-the-job training was either 2-4 days or more than 1 week. The results of this study can be used as a base to develop training programs for job efficiency for salespeople in fashion retailing.

동영상을 활용한 봉제 교육 연구 (Using Videos as a Teaching Tool in Sewing)

  • This study investigated the effective pedagogical strategies for sewing by examining the efficacy of sewing videos as supplemental learning materials and demonstration tools. Sewing videos were created for face-to-face apparel construction courses, and students' opinions on sewing videos as an educational tool were collected. Videos with subtitles were offered to Apparel Construction Course 1, whereas videos with narration and subtitles were offered to Apparel Construction Course 2. As "supplemental learning materials," students rated videos as more effective for learning and satisfying than "documents with text and images." The effectiveness and satisfaction scores for Apparel Construction Course 2 were significantly higher than those for Apparel Construction Course 1. Furthermore, videos were utilized significantly more than documents, and most students preferred videos over documents. The main benefits of videos as supplemental learning materials were repetitive learning at the learner's convenience and the detailed presentation of the sewing process. Students regarded narration as more effective and satisfying than subtitles. Narrations were expected to be offered along with subtitles. As "demonstration tools," students rated videos as more effective for learning and satisfying than traditional "sewing samples." Students preferred "demonstration with videos" to "demonstration with sewing samples." The main benefits of video demonstration were a close-up view, presentation of the entire sewing process, and shorter wait time without the need for group teaching. Students wanted more sewing videos and narrations to be offered, and various sewing machine feet to be used in the videos. Educational methods for sewing were suggested based on student opinions.

메타버스 디지털 아이템 이용 실태 및 이용동기에 따른 만족도 및 추후 구매의사 (The Purchasing Status of the Avatars and Digital Fashion Items in Metaverse and Consumers' Purchase Satisfaction and the Future Purchase Intentions According to Usage Motivation)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 메타버스에서 아바타와 패션아이템을 구매하는 행동이 어떤 이용동기와 관련이 있는지를 밝히고, 구매만족도와 추후 구매의사에 대해 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 통해 아바타와 패션아이템 개발 및 패션산업과 의류교육의 방향성을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 만 19세 이상 아바타를 보유하고 있는 149명을 대상으로 아바타와 패션아이템 구매실태와 이용동기, 구매만족도, 추후구매의사를 조사하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아바타 소유 비율은 여성, 19세~29세, 소득이 낮거나 아예 높은 경우 높게 나타났다. 연령이 낮은 집단은 모바일폰으로 구매하고, 연령이 높은 집단은 신용카드를 사용하는 경향이 있었다. 응답자들은 아바타를 보유하고 있었어도 구매빈도나 지출 금액이 많지 않았다. 반면, 패션아이템 구매에서는 구매금액이 8,000원 이상 소비하는 집단은 19세~29세였고 소득에 따라 구매빈도, 구매금액이 높아지고 있었다. 둘째, 아바타와 패션아이템 이용동기 중 쾌락추구는 가장 큰 영향력을 미쳤고, 남성은 여성보다 아바타를 통한 자기표현에 신경을 썼다. 셋째, 대리만족 동기는 구매만족도를 높였고 추후 구매의사를 높이는 요인은 대리만족과 스트레스 해소였다. 이를 통해 장기적으로 모든 연령층이 함께 스트레스를 해소할 수 있고, 메타버스 이용자간에 동질감을 느낄 수 있게 하고, 현실과는 다른 가상세계에서의 만족감을 줄 수 있는 요인을 고려하여 아바타와 패션아이템이 개발되어야 할 것이다. 그리고 의생활과 관련된 교육에서 패션 아이템을 활용할 수 있는 방안 및 소비태도에 대한 교육이 필요할 것이다.

패션한복시대의 한복 전문교육 현황 연구 (A Study on the Current Status of Hanbok Education in the Era of Fashion Hanbok)

  • This study aims to derive suggestions to help develop Hanbok education in the future by examining its current status in domestic educational institutions in light of rising social demand for Hanbok in the era of fashion Hanbok. We assessed the Hanbok curriculum in educational institutions nationwide, including universities and specialized institutes, and conducted in-depth interviews to understand the operational status of Hanbok-specialized education. We found that the demand for education on production functions is decreasing, while the demand for in-depth education on the history of Korean costume and education integrating Hanbok with design and marketing is increasing. We also found that, in the case of universities, which play an important role in Hanbok research and education, professional research and training are shrinking in graduate schools, whereas Hanbok subjects are being maintained and new subjects are being taught in undergraduate courses. In the fashion Hanbok era, it has been suggested that Hanbok education needs to converge with design and marketing education, beyond teaching only Hanbok. In addition, the necessity of expanding liberal arts education within universities to meet social demand was proposed, and online education was expected to help spread knowledge.

캡스톤 디자인을 활용한 패션 모델의 교과목 개발 (Subject Development of Fashion Model utilizing Capstone Design)

  • 최근 사회적·교육적 패러다임의 변화 속에 capstone design을 활용한 교육적 접근이 점진적으로 확대되고 있는 추세이다. Capstone design이 접목된 모델학과의 교과목 개발은 패션쇼 현장에서 패션모델로서의 실무 역량을 증진시켜 줌과 동시에 패션쇼와 관련된 다양한 분야에 대한 시야를 확장시켜준다는 측면에서 긍정적인 효과를 창출할 수 있다. 본 연구는 패션모델학과의 모델작품발표 교과목에 캡스톤 디자인 교수법을 적용한 교육 과정을 개발 및 그 성과를 제시하고, 교수자 측면에서 고려해야할 함의점을 제언하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구 방법은 캡스톤 디자인 교수법과 모델작품발표 교과목에 관련된 이론적 연구 및 캡스톤 디자인이 반영된 모델작품발표 교과목의 과정을 안내하기 위한 모형개발연구를 병행하였다. 본 연구의 결과, capstone design을 접목한 모델작품발표 교과목에 대한 학습자들의 수업 수행 방식이나 과정 및 학습 성과에 대한 만족도는 매우 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 특히, 수업 수행 과정에 대해 매우 큰 만족감을 나타내는 것으로 파악되었다. Capstone design을 활용한 모델작품발표 교과목을 진행함에 있어 교수자의 측면에서 고려해야할 함의점으로, 패션과 관련된 심층적·융합적인 관점에서의 교육에 대한 필요, 공간에 대한 시간적·공간적 활용도의 개선, 다양한 분야의 전문가 및 산업체들간의 연계성에 대한 깊이 있는 고민과 산업체와 지속적인 교류와 협력을 통한 교육 범위의 확장이 필요하다고 판단된다.

한국과 미국의 패션마케팅 교육의 성공요인에 관한 비교 연구(제2보) (A Comparative Analysis of Fashion Marketing Education between Korea and USA(Part II))

  • This empirical research aimed to identify and compare key success factors in fashion marketing education in Korea as well as those in U.S.A. Employing a couple of statistical methods (multiple regression and factor analysis) on survey data, it was found that the decisive factors in the fashion marketing education differed between two countries. mainly attributable to the difference of goals in the education or to the job orientation of students. Surprisingly it was also found that no educational methods significantly affected the educational performance in both countries, implying that the so called constructivistic ways of leaching/learning was not so effective as expected. In order to improve educational performance in Korea, as far as fashion marketing is concerned, universities needed to increase the class-hours for the course, to provide more supportive educational environment, and to let the instructors used computer/internet facilities for more diverse purposes than now.

  • This research aims to compare fashion marketing education in Korea and in U.S.A.. Based upon on-line and off-line survey to university professors in both countries, this study analyzes their responses including subjective opinions concerning educational conditions, methods and performance. The responses are analyzed by ANOVA and Chi-Square Test in a statistical software package, SPSS. As a result, it shows that the education in Korea is substantially different from that in U.S.A.. In educational condition, in particular, more significant difference between two countries exists in terms of professors than in terms of educational environment. Also educational performance differs between them more in enhancing practical ability of students than in promoting motivation of students.

한국과 일본의 패션마케팅 교육에 관한 비교 연구 (A Comparative Analysis of Fashion Marketing Education between Korea and Japan)

  • Fashion Marketing is gaining more importance as Korean apparel industry undergoes ever-increasing competition and consumer power. As a result, Fashion marketing education come to play a more significant role in university level. This empirical research aims to compare fashion marketing education between Korea and Japan, owing to mail survey to university professors in both countries, regarding educational conditions, methods and performance. The results show that Korean education overall dominates Japanese one in terms of educational methods and performance. But Korea lies behind Japan in some educational conditions, such as class size, industry-university cooperation and age structure of professors, which needs to be improved.
