Characteristics of High School Students' and Science Teachers' Cognitive Frame about Effective Teaching Method for High School Science Subject (고등학교 과학 교과의 효과적인 수업 방법에 대한 고등학생과 과학교사들의 인지프레임 특성)

  • We investigated the cognitive frame of high school students and inservice high school science teachers about effective teaching method, and we also explored how they understood about the teaching methods suggested by the 2009 revised Science Curriculum. Data were collected from 275 high school science teachers and 275 high school students. We analyzed data in terms of the words and the cognitive frame using the Semantic Network Analysis. The results were as follows. First, the teachers perceived that an activity oriented class was the effective science class that helped improve students' problem-solving abilities and their inquiry skills. The students had the cognitive frame that their teacher had to present relevant and enough teaching materials to students, and that they should also receive assistance from teachers in science class to better prepare for college entrance exam. Second, both students and teachers retained the cognitive frame about the efficient science class that was not reflected 2009 revised Science Curriculum exactly. Especially, neither groups connected the elements of 'convergence' as well as 'integration' embedded across science subject areas to their cognitive frame nor cognized the fact that many science learning contents were closed related to one another. Therefore, various professional development opportunities should be offered so that teachers succinctly comprehend the essential features and the intents of the 2009 revised Science Curriculum and thereby implement it in their science lessons effectively.

Middle School and Science-gifted Students' Conceptions about Motion of Objects on the Surface of the Earth and the Moon (지구와 달 표면에서 물체의 운동에 대한 일반 중학생들과 과학영재학생들의 개념)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school and science-gifted students' conceptions about motion of objects on the surface of the earth and the moon. The subjects were 61 first-, 51 second-, 51 third-year students, for a total of 163 in a middle school and 32 science-gifted students from a university-affiliated sciencegifted education center for secondary school students. The research contents were conceptions about motion of objects by the vertical direction, an inclined plane and horizontal plane on the surface of the earth and the moon. The questions were as follows: If two balls, same size but different mass, were put on, thrown over, by the vertical direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane on the surface of the earth and the moon at the same time and speed, which one would arrive faster than the other?; In the same mass in the earth and the moon, how fast could the object reach to which location, the earth or the moon? The results showed that science-gifted students offer meaningful difference on the concept of objects in motion at the vertical direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane on the earth and at the vertical direction on the moon than general middle school students. There were meaningful difference on the vertical up direction, an inclined plane and a horizontal plane in the same situation in the earth and the moon. Finally, based on the results of our study, we discuss possible educational implications for teaching the concept of objects in motion.

  • A firm's competitive capabilities become greater when the firm has a specific knowledge. There are many studies have been examined how to accumulate the firm specific knowledge and to get the competitive capability on the various perspectives. This study suggest that the conceptual framework on the absorptive capability through reviews on the knowledge management theory. And it also suggests that the proposition about the technological capability building process through the in depth case study on a small and medium sized company in a LCD industry. This study found the following major characteristics about the absorptive capability building and knowledge creating process. First, it is required to building an absorptive capability rapidly that the harmony of local capabilities, integrative capabilities, and intensity of effort. And the most important factor is the intensity of effort in a small and medium sized firm with a weak knowledge base. Second, it is required to develop an innovative new product that the utilization of expeditious learning mechanism based on the exploration and exploitation process. Finally, complementary assets are needed to proactive exploration and exploitation. Based on the findings, the theoretical and managerial implications are derives and the further research directions are proposed.

A Comparative Analysis of Content Elements Related to Environment Education in Elementary School Curriculum (초등학교 교육과정의 환경교육 관련 내용 요소 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the content elements of the environment education are displayed between related subjects in elementary school curriculum and find a desirable direction of the environment education. Major subjects that handle the components of the environment education include science, physical education, social studies, ethics, and practical arts. Among these subjects, science aims for the ecological perspective, social studies aims for rational decision making and practical behaviors, and ethics aims for the correct formation of environmental ethics and values. In the component ratio of the environment education, the domains of the natural environment, environmental ethics, environmental pollution, environmental protection and measure were higher. In the formation of content elements according to grades, the connectivity of the environment curriculum has been relatively well secured in the order of the learning about the environmental components, awareness on environmental problems and the measures and efforts to overcome environmental problems. Based on the findings above, the followings are proposed for future environment curriculum in elementary school. First, it is necessary to increase the ratio of the ecological perspective based on science and coordinate the period to suggest this contents. Second, it is necessary to complement the contents of social studies regarding green growth and sustainable development which have become global issues in the environment education. Third, Pan-curriculum and integrated discussions to prepare multi-academic and interdisciplinary environment curriculum have to be preceded and through this process it is necessary to set the target of environment education and select the content elements of the curriculum.

해안지형분류표준화 동향에 관한 연구 - 환경정보표준 ISO/IEC211 18025 자료와 국내분류체계 비교

  • 습지 분류의 목표는 '목록작성(inventory)과 평가와 관리를 위해 자연적인 생태계에 범위를 설정하는 것'이다. 또한 등질적인 속성을 갖는 생태단위를 기술하고, 자원관리 의사결정에 도움을 줄 수 있는 체계로 단위를 만들어내고, 목록작성과 지도화에 필요한 단위를 제공하면, 습지에 관한 개념과 용어의 통일성을 제공하는 것 등이다. 해안지형 가운데 해안 습지의 분류에는 우선, 1) 형태, 2) 생성요인, 3) 자갈, 모래, 펄 같은 기질 물질과 4)현재의 환경이라는 요소가 모두 고려되어야만 하는데 아직 국내에는 이에 대한 연구가 절대적으로 부족하여 이에 대한 규정이 부족한 현실이다. 따라서 현 단계에서 ISO/IEC 규정대로 각 코드는 엄밀히 상호배타적인 개념일 것, 정수로 표시할 것과 순차적으로 증가하는 숫자로 표시할 것 등의 전제조건을 만족시키는 전제 하에서 해안습지를 분류하는 것은 매우 힘든 작업이라 생각한다. 하지만 국토공간의 효율적 관리와 보존을 위해서는 위치와 장소에 따라 차이를 보이는 지질, 지형, 토양, 식생, 수리 현상 등 제반 지표 환경요소에 대한 체계화된 정보의 축척이 있어야 가능하다. 우리나라의 경우 지질 정보는 지질자원연구원에서 발행하는 지질도와, 농촌진흥청에서 발행하는 토양도, 임업연구원에서 발행하는 임상도 등의 주제도가 있으나, 지표환경을 나타내주는 지형에 대한 정보체계는 아직 이루러진 바가 없고, 대학의 석사학위논문이나, 실험적인 수준의 연구에 머물고 있는 실정이다. 이번 연구에서는 지형분류도 작성과 관련한 외국의 사례를 집중적으로 분석하고, 지형정보의 체계적 관리를 위해 가장 필요한 해안습지 지형분류도를 작성하기 위해 가장 기초적인 단계인 해안습지 지형분류체계에 대한 국내외의 연구성과를 비교하여 시안을 작성 표준화를 위한 첫 단계 시도를 소개하였다.분석 결과는 문장, 그림 및 도표, 장 끝의 질문, 학생의 학습 활동 수 등이 $0.4{\sim}1.5$ 사이의 값으로 학생 참여를 적절히 유도하는 발견 지향적 인 것으로 조사되었다. 그러나 장의 요약은 본문 내용을 반복하는 내용으로 구성되었다. 이와 같이 공통과학 과목은 새로운 현대 사회에 부응하는 교과 목표와 체계를 지향하고 있지만 아직도 통합과학으로서의 내용과 체계를 완전히 갖추고 있지 못할 뿐만 아니라 현재 사용되고 있는 7종의 교과서가 교육 목표를 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 교사의 역할이 더욱더 중요하게 되었다.괴리가 작아진다. 이 결과에 따르면 위탁증거금의 징수는 그 제도의 취지에 부합되고 있다. 다만 제도운용상의 이유이거나 혹은 우리나라 주식시장의 투자자들이 비합리적인 투자형태를 보임에 따라 그 정책적 효과는 때로 역기능적인 결과로 초래하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이 연구결과를 통하여 최소한 주식시장(株式市場)에서 위탁증거금제도는 그 제도적 의의가 여전히 있다는 사실이 확인되었다. 또한 우리나라 주식시장에서 통상 과열투기 행위가 빈번히 일어나 주식시장을 교란시킴으로써 건전한 투자풍토조성에 저해된다는 저간의 우려가 매우 커왔으나 표본 기간동안에 대하여 실증분석을 한 결과 주식시장 전체적으로 볼 때 주가변동율(株價變動率), 특히 초과주가변동율(超過株價變動率)에 미치는 영향이 그다지 심각한 정도는 아니었으며 오히려 우리나라의 주식시장은 미국시장에 비해 주가가 비교적 안정적인 수준을 유지해 왔다고 볼 수 있다.36.4%)와 외식을 선호(29.1%)${\lrcorner}$ 하기 때문에 패스트푸드를 이용하게 된 것으로 응답 하였으며, 남 여 대학생간에는 유의한 차이(p<0.05)가 인정되었다. 응답자의 체형은 ${\ulcorner}$

수학 내신성적에 비해 수능성적이 저조한 학생의 학습 특성에 관한 사례연구

  • 이 연구는 내신성적이 우수함에도 불구하고 수능성적이 저조한 학생들이 문제 해결과정에서 나타내는 특성과 수학불안 요인을 분석하는데 있다. 연구의 대상은 인천시 5고등학교 자연계열 2학년 학생 중 내신성적이 상위 10%안에 드나 수능성적(모의수능성적)은 그렇지 못한 학생 5명이고, 이들의 수학적 성향, 수학 성취도, 개인별 특성 등에 대한 사전 면담자료, 문제풀이과정에 대한 사후 심층면담자료, 현장노트, 수학불안검사를 바탕으로 그들의 특성과 수학불안 요인을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 내신성적은 좋으나 수능성적이 저조한 학생들의 수학 문제 해결 과정에서 나타나는 특성은 수학전 영역에서의 개념부족, 공식암기 부족 등으로 인하여 문제풀이계획을 세우지 못하거나 설사 문제를 푼다고 해도 계산 실수, 착각, 부주의 등으로 인해 정확한 답을 구하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. (2) 내신성적은 좋으나 수능성적이 저조한 학생들은 어느 정도의 수학 불안은 가지고 있었다. 불안의 요인은 개념부족, 응용력 부족 등 개인적 인지능력에 의한 저조한 수학 성취수준과 수학 공부시간 부족, 풀이시간 부족 등의 환경적 요인에 때문인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 특히 수학개념이 부족한 학생일수록 수학불안 현상이 심하게 나타났다. 따라서 이들 학생들의 수학 문제풀이 과정 중에 나타나는 계산 실수, 부주의, 착각은 그들의 수학 자신감에 많은 악영향을 미치게 되므로, 교사가 이를 그냥 방관할 것이 아니라 적극적으로 확인하고 지도해줄 필요가 있다. 또 교실 수업에서도 수능시험에서 다루고 있는 수학 내적, 외적 문제해결문제, 추론문제, 응용문제, 통합문제에 대한 문제풀이 경험을 하게하여 수학불안을 해소해줄 필요가 있다.)값을 보였으나, 10,000Hz의 높은 측정주파수에서는 더 큰 $E_a$값을 나타냄으로서 반응온도변화에 민감함을 보여주었다.원으로부터 부유물을 증가로 사료되었으며, 이에 대한 대책마련이 시급한 것으로 사료되었다. 수질이 휴양용수로서 사용하는 데에 적합하도록 충분한 차집시설과 환경 기초시설의 설치 운영이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.TEX>$K_s$값이 높고 $V_m/K_s$비율은 낮아 수게에서 질소가 저농도 일 때에는 다른 미세조류와 비교하면 경쟁력이 떨어지고 질소에 대한 기질 친화력은 약한 것으로 나타났다. 낙동강 하류지역에서 M. aeruginosa가 대발생하는 시기에 수중 영양염의 농도 변동은 M. aeruginosa의 영양생리 kinetics 특성과 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타났다.부분을 보완하기 위한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. 연마방법 간에 상호 연관성이 없었다. FE-SEM관찰에서 레진전색제를 적용한 후의 표면은 모든 군에서 대체적으로 평활한 표면을 나타내었다. 4. 동일한 복합레진과 연마방법으로 처리된 군에서 레진전색제 적용 전과 후의 표면조도 값은 M1B군이 M1군보다, S1B군이 S1군보다 통계학적으로 높게 나타났으며, M4B군과 M5B군은 각각 M4군과 M5군 보다. 그리고 S5B군은 S5군 보다 통계학적으로 낮게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 본 연구를 종합하여 보면, 복합레진의 종류에 따라 표면조도의 순서는 다르게 나타났고, polyester strip 하에서 복합레진이 중합된 경우 가장 낮은 표면조도 값과 평활한 표면을 제공하였으며 전반적으로 anishing bur는 가장 높은 Ra값과 거친 표면을 제공하였다.

A Comparative Study of Science Textbooks in Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan - Focus on the field of Biology - (우리나라, 싱가포르, 대만의 과학 교과서 비교 연구 - 생명 영역을 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzed the characteristics of organization scheme and the levels of core concepts in science textbooks used in Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan, which have shown superior achievement according to the TIMSS 2007. Science textbooks in Korea clearly divide the fields of Energy, Matter, Biology, and Earth, presenting the fields in nearly equal proportion in each grade. In the case of Singapore, science textbooks take an integrated content approach, combining concepts from several fields under a single theme. Science textbooks in Taiwan present a single content field in each unit. Also, because each grade engages in a specific field intensively, there are many cases in which concepts related to a single field are studied in a single grade. In view of levels of core concepts, Singapore or Taiwan showed higher achievement than Korea in themes of 'Cell and their Functions', 'Ecosystems', and 'Human Health' under the TIMSS 2007 biology field. Singapore introduces core concepts for these themes in lower grades compared to Korea and presents them repeatedly in several grades. In Taiwan, there are many cases in which these core concepts are taught only once during the course of $3^{rd}$ to $8^{th}$ grade, but the explanations are presented at a level that is suitable to TIMSS 2007 assessment objectives. Considering the results of this analysis, there is a need to reconsider the division of content fields and methods of presenting core concepts in the science textbooks of Korea.

Analysis of the Questioning Characteristics of Elementary Science Gifted Education Teaching Materials using the Sternberg's View of Successful Intelligence: Focused on Semantic Network Analysis (Sternberg의 성공지능 관점을 적용한 초등 과학영재교육 교재의 발문 특성 분석: 언어네트워크분석을 중심으로)

  • From the perspective of science gifted education, the successful intelligence theory is a means to understand how the gifted education curriculum reflects the characteristics of science gifted students. The purpose of this study is to investigate if the successful intelligence is fully reflected in the teaching materials of two gifted education centers (GECDOE: Gifted Education Center affiliated with District Office of Education, GSEIU: Gifted Science Education Institute attached to University). For this study, we selectively used 143 (GECDOE) and 134 questions (GSEIU) from the teaching materials of two gifted education centers. Those questions is analyzed through the semantic network analysis method. The results are as follow. First, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers are not evenly reflected in the successful intelligence, such as analytical ability, creative ability, and practical ability. Second, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers intensively demands analytical ability for students such as 'identify problem', 'represent and organize information', and 'additional prompts for analytical thinking'. Third, the teaching materials of two gifted education centers are presented to students without linking each frame of successful intelligence to one another. As the gifted students are quick to learn and show a preference for more complex thinking, it is necessary to develop teaching materials to experience the various abilities and promote integrated thinking according to the level of the gifted students. In this respect, this study is expected to be used as useful information for developing teaching materials to support customized education for gifted students.

Application of Advertisement Filtering Model and Method for its Performance Improvement (광고 글 필터링 모델 적용 및 성능 향상 방안)

  • In recent years, due to the exponential increase in internet data, many fields such as deep learning have developed, but side effects generated as commercial advertisements, such as viral marketing, have been discovered. This not only damages the essence of the internet for sharing high-quality information, but also causes problems that increase users' search times to acquire high-quality information. In this study, we define advertisement as "a text that obscures the essence of information transmission" and we propose a model for filtering information according to that definition. The proposed model consists of advertisement filtering and advertisement filtering performance improvement and is designed to continuously improve performance. We collected data for filtering advertisements and learned document classification using KorBERT. Experiments were conducted to verify the performance of this model. For data combining five topics, accuracy and precision were 89.2% and 84.3%, respectively. High performance was confirmed, even if atypical characteristics of advertisements are considered. This approach is expected to reduce wasted time and fatigue in searching for information, because our model effectively delivers high-quality information to users through a process of determining and filtering advertisement paragraphs.

Analysis of the Effectiveness on Instructional Program by Water Circulation System Device (물의 순환 시스템 장치 개발 및 수업 프로그램 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of the study is to visualize the concept of water circulation in elementary school students through science behavioral system. Elementary school students found it difficult to understand concepts related to the water cycle. Most of the elementary school children think it rains because the clouds are heavier. It is most difficult to explain invisible concepts to elementary school children. Also, experiments in current textbooks are likely to disrupt scientific concepts. Accordingly, conventional water cycle, dew, fog, and cloud experiments were integrated into one system. The researchers then developed a device that allowed students to see the water's circulation at a glance. It is intended to enable integrated thinking on evaporation, condensation and precipitation. In addition, a instruction program to guide students using the system has been developed to demonstrate its effectiveness. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the participants were measured on their concepts of evaporation, condensation, and water circulation before and after participation. The findings indicated that the experiment is more effective in changing the concepts of evaporation, condensation, and water circulation than in previous experiments. Also, the optimal conditions for making use of the device were found, and there were no various experimental parameters, such as condensation.
