  • The spread of non-face-to-face culture due to COVID-19 led to innovation in untact services and the increase of non-face-to-face communication through video conference platforms. However, it is difficult to identify nonverbal expressions in synchronous online communication. Moreover, it is hard to interact with people by making eye contact. Despite the positive effects of eye contact, including such as sharing emotions and helping build intimacy, no research has empirically verified the effectiveness of eye contact in synchronous online communication. Thus, the study verified the effectiveness of eye contact in synchronous online communication. Depending on the context of the communication and whether(or not) there is eye contact, six video treatments were used to measure four dependent variables-Continuance Intention to Use, Performance Expectancy, Interactivity, and Personal Connection. The study shows that the communication with eye contact in all contexts was rated higher than the one without eye contact in all measurement variables. This study will help to provide a better user experience in synchronous online communication by verifying the effectiveness of eye contact in synchronous online communication and proposing the need of technology and the direction of the technological development.

This empirical result demonstrates the fact that Master and Chief Engineer's direct communication with crew has lower conflict and higher job satisfaction and organizational commitment than their indirect one through Chief Officer and First Engineer. In addition, it illustrates the isolation from home only effects moderately on the relation between the communication style and group conflict, and also the direct communication style reduces more the conflict in the group to show less isolation from home. To conclude, this study reveals that job satisfaction and organization commitment could be heightened by proper communication style of Master and Chief Engineer and it would utilize the job performance of ship organization in the long-term.

For the empirical analysis of this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the subjects who participated in the core job training course of SMEs. To test the hypothesis of this study, we analyzed the moderating effects of organizational communication on the relationship between organizational culture type and organizational effectiveness by statistical analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, and control effect analysis through statistical program SPSS 20.0. The results of the empirical analysis show that organizational culture type positively influences organizational commitment and job satisfaction, but organizational culture has a positive effect on organizational culture. It exhibited a positive moderating effect. Therefore, this study reviewed the theoretical validity of existing studies by analyzing the moderating effects of organizational communication in the relationship between organizational culture type and organizational effectiveness. On the other hand, the empirical analysis of the interaction effects of variables can be interpreted as the pursuit of integration between prior researches that were performed individually.

  • This study theoretically and empirically examined whether organizational communication mediates the effect of organizational learning culture perceived by members in the organization on task performance and contextual performance. Organizational learning culture is defined as a culture that is good at creating, acquiring, transferring, and modifying behavior to reflect new knowledge and insights. The hypothesis of this study is that the perceived organizational learning culture can increase performance through organizational communication between members. In particular, we measured communication within the organization into three types: upward, horizontal, and downward. These communications were set as mediating variables. In empirical studies, independent variables were perceived organizational learning culture, mediation variables were upward, horizontal and downward communication, and dependent variables were task performance and contextual performance. Hypothesis 1 is that the organizational learning culture will have a positive effect on employees' tasks and contextual performance. Hypothesis 2 is about the mediating effect of communication on the relationship between Hypothesis 1. In the empirical study, after verifying the validity and reliability of the research variables, correlation analysis and hypothesis verification were conducted. Hypothesis 1 was verified through regression analysis, and all detailed hypotheses were supported. To verify Hypothesis 2, we conducted a bootstrap test using process macro to separate the total, direct, and indirect effects and examine the significance of the indirect effects. As a result, Hypothesis 2 was partially supported. Downward communication mediated organizational learning culture and task and contextual performance, and horizontal communication mediated organizational learning culture and contextual performance. The mediating effect of upward communication was not significant. The results of this study contributed to the suggestion of implications, research limitations, and research directions. Organizational learning culture is the direction and intention of the organization to achieve its goals through the learning and growth of its members. By strengthening internal motivation, organizational members can take voluntary desirable actions that help groups and organizations as well as essential tasks given. since this relationship appears as a medium of downward communication, organizations can strengthen the relationship between organizational learning culture and performance through leadership education.

By editing as a form of communication, audiences response to the new facts of the story or the new shot as its details and then it uses their ability to induce. Lev Kuleshov, by the famous Mozhukin experiment, intended to show that montage draw spectator's inferences on emotion and association beyond content of the individual shots. The continuous editing technologies such as 180-degree rule, matching eye-view and behavior, 30-degree rule, and continuity of sound, light and color, enhance emotion. Point-of-view editing is the main device to maximize the film's emotion. Point-of-view editing serving the purpose of the film narration is a powerful means to practice and to persuade emotion communication.

High crisis responsibility and corporate social responsibility crises were related to unfavorable attitudes to a company, higher intentions of negative communication, and higher intentions to participate in a boycott. Crisis responsibility and communication strategy showed a significant interaction. When crisis responsibility was high, the accommodative strategy was more effective than the defensive strategy. Corporate social responsibility crises found no difference between the strategies regardless of the crisis responsibility level. In the case of corporate ability crises, the accommodative strategy was more effective for the high crisis responsibility crisis.

To achieve this purpose, this study extracted 250 samples from five boys high schools in Gyeonggi-do, and used survey of 232 students for actual analysis excluding the surveys with unfaithful answer or double entry. Questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data and conducted frequency analysis, correlation analysis and moderator regression analysis to analyze the collected data. This study drew the following results. It was identified that sub-factors of sports activity satisfaction as social, physical, environmental and educational satisfaction have the moderating effect in the relationship between adolescents' communication skills and social self-concept with peer group. In other words, communication skills within adolescents' peer group play an important role in improving positive self-concept, but when sports activity satisfaction put as a moderating variable, adolescents' positive self-concept would be more improved.
