Reliability of Measurements of Back Vertex Power for Soft Contact Lenses Using an Auto-Lensmeter (자동렌즈미터를 이용한 소프트 콘택트렌즈의 굴절력 측정 방법에 관한 신뢰도)

  • Purpose: To assess the reliability for measuring the back vertex power of soft contact lenses by dry blotting and wet cell method using an auto-lensmeter. Methods: The soft contact lenses used for measurement were 5 types that were distributed in Korea, and 4 back vertex powers (-1.50D, -3.00D, -6.00D, -9.00D) were used. and repeatability and reproducibility were evaluated by measuring them with an auto-lensmeter by two examiners. Results: Measured powers by dry blotting method were ranged in mean differences from 0.03D to 0.18D for overall lenses, 0.10D to 0.18D for silicone hydrogel lenses, 0.03D to 0.08D for hydrogel lenses. The mean differences between two examiners were less than 0.10D, and the inter-examiner reproducibility was good for dry blotting method. The mean difference between powers determined by wet cell method were 0.09D to 0.69D, the mean differences between two examiners were 0.02D to 0.59D. The reliability of measurements and inter-examiner reproducibility were less than dry blotting method. Conclusions: The reliability of measurements for all materials was better in dry blotting than wet cell method, the re liability of measurements for silicone hydrogel lenses was low in both methods. In clinical practical which requires quick checking of back vertex power using an auto-lensmeter. dry blotting method is thought to be more efficient than wet cell one.

In Vitro Assessment of MRI Safety at 1.5 T and 3.0 T for Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid Implant (Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid Implant에 대한 1.5 T와 3.0 T에서 MRI 안전성의 생체외 평가)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate Magnetic Resonance Imaging safety by measuring the translational attraction, torque and susceptibility artifact for Bone-Anchored Hearing Aid (BAHA) implant at 1.5 T and 3.0 T MRI by standard criteria. In vitro assessment tools were made of acrylic-resin by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F2052-06 and F2119-07 standard. Translational attraction of BAHA implant was measured by the maximum deflection angle at 96 cm position, where the magnetically induced deflection was the greatest. The torque was assessed by the qualitative criteria of evaluating the alignment and rotation pattern, when the BAHA implant was positioned on a line with $45^{\circ}$ intervals inside the circular container in the center of the bore. The susceptibility artifact images were obtained using the hanged test tool, which was filled with $CuSO_4$ solution. And then the artifact size was measured using Susceptibility A rtifact Measurement (SA M) software. In results, the translational attraction was 0 mm at both 1.5 T and 3.0 T and the torque was 0(no torque) at 1.5 T, and +1(mild torque) at 3.0 T. The size of susceptibility artifacts was between 13.20 mm and 38.91 mm. Therefore, The BAHA implant was safe for the patient in clinical MR environment.

An Analysis of Cohesion and Word Information among English CSAT Question Types (수능 영어 문항 유형간 응집력과 어휘정보 분석)

  • The aim of this study was to analyze cohesion and word information among different types of questions in the English reading section of the College Scholastic Ability Tests (CSAT). The types of questions were divided into three categories: macro reading, micro reading, and indirect writing. Reading texts from 1994 to 2017 CSAT were analyzed by Coh-Metrix, an automated evaluation program of text and discourse. The findings of this study indicated that there were statistical differences among the three categories of questions for noun overlap, stem overlap, adversative and contrastive connective, additive connective, pronoun incidence, age of acquisition, concreteness for content word, imagability, and meaningfulness. The information of the findings bore pedagogic implications for developing textbooks, questions for CSAT, and reading strategies by students.

The mediating effect of decision making ability on the relationship between courage and happiness in young children (유아의 용기와 행복감 간의 관계 분석 및 의사결정력의 매개효과)

  • This study examined the effects of courage on happiness and the mediating effects of the decision making ability on the relationship between courage and happiness. The courage Inventory for Young Children (Park & Lee, 2011), The Children's decision making ability Scale (Park, 2012) and the happiness Questionnaire (Kim, 2008) were administered to 220 young children (112 boys, 108 girls, 5 year of age). The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and a sobel test using the computer program, SPSS/PC 21.0. The results were as follows. First, there were significant positive relationships among courage, decision making ability, and happiness. Second, courage was an important factor in predicting the happiness of young children, and the decision making ability had mediating effects on the relationship between courage and happiness.

The Bearing Capacity Comparison of Drilled Shaft by the Static Load Test and the Suggested Bearing Capacity Formulas (현장타설말뚝의 정재하시험에 의한 지지력과 이론식에 의한 지지력과의 비교)

  • The driven pile has environmental problems such as vibration and noise. Especially, if the site consists of gravel, cobble and weather rock, the driven pile can not be applied. Therefore, the application of the drilled shafts is increasing in Korea. However, the bearing capacity values by the suggested theoretical formulas are generally considered too conservative. In this paper, static load tests for the rock socketed drilled shaft at Gwangandaero and Suyeong3hogyo are performed and in order to estimate the side friction of the shaft, strain gauges are applied. The bearing capacities from the field test data and the bearing capacity values by the theoretical formula are compared. Even the static load tests didn't reach to the ultimate bearing capacity condition, and all the measured bearing capacity values were higher than those by the theoretical formulas. The field data also showed that the major bearing capacities were not due to end bearings but side friction resistances. Based on the above results, several suggestions are proposed for the drilled shaft design.

The Emergence of A New Pattern of Childbearing : Fertility in Korea During The 1980s (1980년대 한국 출산력의 변동추이 분석)

  • 본 연구는 1980년대 우리나라 출산력의 급격한 변동을 설명하기 위하여 1988년 한국보건사회 연구원에서 실시한 전국규모의 출산력 및 가족보건조사자료를 기초로 출산순위진도 측정방법에 의하여 출산력을 분석한 것이다. 본 연구 결과에서는 년도별 출산력과 출산순위분포, 출산순위별 진도율 등을 측정하였고, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1980년 초에는 출산력이 2.8에서 1986년 이후에 대체수준이하인 1.8로 계속적인 하향추세를 보였다. 출산순위별 진도율에서는 둘째에서 세째아이로 진도한 비율이 1980년초에서 1986년사이에 약 71%가 감소하였고, 세째순위에서 네째순위로 33%가 감소하였다. 세째이상으로 진도한 비율의 감소율이 90%를 상회하고 이중 둘째에서 세째사이의 변동율이 50%를 나타내었다. 출산순위분포에서는 둘째아이에 64%가 집중되어 있으며 출산진도율은 결혼에서 첫째아이로 진도되는 확률이 90%, 첫째에서 둘째로 85%, 둘째에서 세째로는 18%가 나타냈다. 이러한 현상은 최근 한국부인의 82%가 둘째아이에서 단산하는 경향을 보이고 한자녀만 갖는 확률은 15%로 풀이되고 있다.

Study of Accomodation-lag using Monocular Estimation Method(MEM) (단안평가법(MEM)을 이용한 조절지체에 대한 연구)

  • The accomodation is made to see near objects. This accomodation have different characteristics from individual to individual. Difference also occurs accommodation of the theory and real. This is accomodative-lag. Depth of focus directly affects the accomodative-lag. Depth of focus is affected by the refractive power and the size of the pupil. Depth of focus becomes deeper as the size of the pupil is small, the refractive power is increased. The accomodative-lag occur more as depth of focus is deep. In this paper, a study was made of the relationship of the accomodative-lag and refractive power. A Monocular Estimation Method(MEM) use for measuring the accomodative-lag. Results were measured by MEM, it tended to increase the refractive power so as to increase the accodative-lag. The accomodative-lag amount was measured at 0.51D. Men were measured at 0.52D, women were measured at 0.49D. The accomodative-lag by gender tended also increases the amount of refractive power increases.

  • We have studied on the accommodation of people for 10~60ages at Honam residents and compared with the already known accommodation from age. Using Push-up method, we obtained results that average accommodation of each cases were 10ages 9.88D, 20ages 8.65D, 30ages 6.92D, 40ages 5.05D, 50ages 4.29D, 60ages 4.63D. Accommodation was on the decreased in increasing the ages but showed the very high accommodation in 50, 60ages on this study. We judged we should consider a accommodation research of other districts and near addition test.

  • 많은 생리적 지능 연구자들은 생체신호 또는 생리적 측정치들을 지능의 새로운 측정치로서 제안하고 있는데, 이들의 기본 가정은 현재의 지능검사는 교육, 가정의 양육태도, 부모의 사회경제적 지위와 같은 문화적 요인에 의해 크게 좌우되므로 지능의 편파적인 측정치가 될 수밖에 없고, 이러만 요인에 가장 적게 영향받는 생리적 측정치만이 순수한 지능 즉정치가 될 수 있다는 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구는 이러한 생리적 신호들 중 EOG(electro-oculograph)를 이용하여 안구의 움직임을 기록함으로서 피검자의 문제해결을 위한 집중력과 이해력 등을 알아보고자 하였다. 또한, 피검자의 정보처리과정을 알아보기 위해 반응시간(RT, reaction time)을 측정하였다. 17명의 건강한 남녀 학생들이 실험에 참여하였으며, 첫단계로 Raven's Advanced Matrices 검사와 IQ 검사를 실시하고, 검사 결과에 근거하여 각각을 세 그룹으로 나누었다. 두번째 단계로는 슬라이드로 제작된 도형유추과제를 푸는 동안 EOG와 RT를 측정하였다. IQ 검사 점수, RT, 그리고 EOG로부터 추출된 변수들 간의 상관관계를 구하기 위해 GLM(general linear model) 및 Duncan's multiple range test를 위한 통계분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과를 통하여 도형유추과제의 난이도가 높을수록 EOG변수들에 의한 지능점수의 분류능력이 높음을 알 수 있었으며, Raven그룹보다는 IQ그룹에 대한 분류가 더욱 잘 이루어졌음을 발견하였다. 그리고, RT는 Raven그룹과 IQ그룹 모두에서 높은 변별력을 나타내고 있음을 확인하였다.

Design and Fabrication of High Power Amplifiers for IMT-2000 (IMT-2000용 기지국용 대전력 증폭기의 설계 및 제작)

  • 본 논문은 전력증폭기 정합회로 설계시 주어진 임피던스를 가지고 Ansoft사의 Ensemble을 이용해 기본적인 정합회로를 설계하였다. MHL21336 , MRF21030 ,MRF21125로 대전력 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하여 측정해본 결과 전체 이득이 52㏈, 대역폭 안에서 이득 평탄도는 ±0.37㏈ 정도, 출력이 PEP 5l㏈m에서 -30㏈c의 결과를 얻었다. Bias 전류에 대한 5㎒ Tone-space IMD 특성곡선을 측정해 본 결과 기지국용 대전력 증폭기로 사용할 수 있음을 보였다.
