We present an estimation model for optimal channel capacity required to data traffic transmission. The optimal channel capacity should be calculated in order to satisfy the permitted transmission delay of each wireless data services. Considering the discrete-time operation of digital communication systems and batch arrival of packet-switched traffic for various wireless services, $Geo^x$/G/1 non-preemptive priority queueing model is analyzed. Based on the heuristic interpretation of the mean waiting time, the mean waiting times of various data packets which have the service priority. Using the mean waiting times of service classes, we propose the procedure of determining the optimal channel capacity to satisfy the quality of service requirement of the mean delay of wireless services. We look forward to applying our results to improvement in wireless data services and economic operation of the network facilities.

This study investigates the rising issue of verbal violence at non-facing channels. Focus Group Interview(FGI) was conducted to examine verbal violence occurred during emotional labors in real-life cases. In addition, the distribution of verbal violence in the conversation was confirmed through a new big data technology called Speech Analysis(SA). The result findings highlighted the two perspectives as below. First, verbal violence occurred through calls, is classified into personal insult, swearing/verbal abuse, unreasonable demand, (sexual) harassment and intimidation/threat. Second, Speech Analysis result exhibited the most frequently appeared verbal violence were personal insult and swearing/verbal abuse. Informal language use and speaking in disrespectable manner was the highest rate in personal insult category. Moreover general cursing was the highest rate in swearing/verbal abuse category. In particular, the rate of using curse language was the highest in overall cases of verbal violence. This study summarizes the types of verbal violence that occur in non-facing channels and suggests a need for further investigation on how verbal stress affects working environment for emotional labor.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference of performance between banks with electronic-based banking service and banks without electronic-based banking service in Korea. The performance indicators we use are DEA efficiency and profitability such as NI, ROA and ROE. The findings are that the performance of bank with electronic banking service are significantly different from that of bank without electronic banking service in DEA efficiency, financial efficiency(cost and revenue) and profitability. But there are some differences among the type of electronic-based service channel that banks provide. The banking channels comprise two major groups: the traditional channels and e-channels. E-channels provide cost-saving for banks and their clients. Among them, only card-related ATM significantly affects the profitability of banks in the positive direction, and technical efficiency also affects the bank's profitability. But the others do not affect.

본 논문에서는 IMT-2000을 위한 이중 모드 패킷 전송 방식에 대한 성능을 분석하고, 동적 임계치 설정을 이용한 이중 모드 패킷 전송 방식을 제안한다. 먼저, 다양한 채널 환경과 트래픽 유형을 고려하여, 공용 채널과 전용채널 간의 모드 전환을 위한 임계치의 변화에 따른 성능의 변화를 고찰하였다. 성능 분석 결과, 채널 환경과 트래픽 형태에 따라서 스위칭 임계치 설정이 매우 중요하며, 성능에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고, 이중 모드 방식에서 스위칭 임계치를 동적으로 설정하는 방식을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 분석하였다. 제안된 동적 임계치를 사용할 경우에 채널 상황이나 트래픽 특성 변화에 적응적으로 대처할 수 있어, 전반적으로 고정 임계치 방식보다 성능이 크게 개선됨을 알 수 있었다.

Thanks to various benefits, low-cost real-time communication networks so called fieldbus have been widely used in many industrial applications including military systems, such as aircrafts, submarines, and robots. This paper presents a reliability analysis of dual-channel CAN(Controller Area Network) fieldbus which is used for controlling various equipment of submarine combat system. A submarine combat system playing a critical role to the success of missions and survivability consists of various devices including sensors/actuators and computers. Since a communication network for submarine combat system must satisfy an extremely high level of reliability, a dual channel technique is commonly adopted. In this paper, a Petri Net based reliability model for dual-channel CAN is discussed. A reliability model called generalized stochastic Petri Nets (GSPN) is built by utilizing the information on physical faults with CAN. The effectiveness of the proposed model is analyzed in terms of unreliability with respect to failure rate and repair rate.

ACE2000 MPLS 시스템은 대용량 ATM 교환 시스템인 ACE2000 ATM 교환시스템에 MPLS 기능을 부가함으로써 사용자들에게 차별화 된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시스템이다 MPLS 시스템에서는 채널 사용의 유연성과 채널 자원의 효율적인 사용을 위해 VC 머징 기능을 요구하고 있다. 이를 위해 ACE2000 MPLS 시스템에서는 출력 방향 패킷 처리기에 VC머징 기능을 구현하여 적용하고 있다. 구현된 VC 머징 장치는 고성능 SAR 소자를 이용하였다. VC 머징 장치는 ATM 셀 구조로 입력되고, 입력된 ATM 셀은 고성능 SAR 소자에 의해 AAL-5 유형의 패킷으로 변환되어 VC 머징 제어기로 입력된다. VC 머징 제어기에서는 패킷 입력부로부터 패킷을 받아들여 채널 연결 설정 정보에 따른 VC 머징 기능을 수행하도록 패킷을 처리한다. 이 VC 머징 제어기에서의 패킷 처리 시 스위치 포트의 Full Mesh 연결로 인해 발생되는 채널 자원의 감소 문제를 해결하고, 채널 자원을 증대시키기 위해 2 단계의 룩업 과정을 거치는 패킷 제어 기능을 수행한다. 패킷 제어기에 의해 처리된패킷은 또 하나의 고성능 SAR 소자로 구성되어 있는 패킷 출력부로 전달되어 셀 분할(Segmentation) 과정을 거쳐 ATM 형태로 다음 레이블 스위치 라우터로 전달 되도록 물리층 보드로 전달된다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 교환 시스템을 기반으로 MPLS 시스템에서 채널자원의 증대를 위한 출력방향 패킷 처리장치에 대하여 제안한다.

This study analyzes what contents the general programming channels have been programming since they opened in December, 2011. The findings reveal that their programming tends to center on specific genres such as news, current affairs, variety shows etc., although the general programming channels have programmed diverse contents. This study also shows that the concentrated programming of these genres has been intensified in all the general programming channels as time goes by. The ratio of re-run is shown to be comparatively high, reaching the level of 50%. Thus, it is necessary that they program more diverse genres in order to satisfy the original purpose of the introduction of the general programming channels and to provide the audience with more chances to select programs.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the preference for direct marketing according to the characteristics of policyholders and suggest implications for marketing strategies with regard to direct marketing. A marked characteristic of this paper is a good quality of data and the results gained from analysing the data can be trusted very much. Binary logistic regression is employed. A statistically significant preference is shown in the group such as male, a younger generation, a hazardous occupation, the metropolitan area, and the customer of foreign company. The results suggest that promotion for female is needed to revitalize direct marketing. A tight underwriting for a hazardous occupation is also required.

초고속정보통신망의 구축이 효율적이고 신뢰성 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 위성/지상망을 통합한 혼합망 구조로 개발됨에 따라 지상 광파이버를 기반으로 개발된 ATM 전송프로토콜을 위성망에 직접적으로 적용하기 위한 기술개발이 요구된다. 이러한 점을 고려하여 본 고에서는 위성 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 전송에 따른 문제점 분석, 개선방안 및 성능평가를 수행하였다. 혼합망 구성에 따른 위성망의 구조를 접속된 지상노드의 유형 및 위성시스템 특성에 따라 3가지 유형으로 분류하여 제시하였고, 위성 ATM 전송에 따른 기술적인 문제점을 채널 BER과 위성지연 측면으로 분류하여 제시하였다. 위성채널 BER 성능개선을 위한 2가지 방안(인터리빙, HEC 보강)을 제시하였으며 위성지연분석은 고정지연(Fixed delay)과 셀지연변이(CDV : Cell Delay Variation) 측면에서 성능평가를 수행하였다.
