Analysis of Factors Influencing Personal Media Creators' Platform Selection : Focusing on YouTube, Twitch and AfreecaTV (1인 미디어 창작자의 플랫폼 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구 : 유튜브, 트위치, 아프리카TV를 중심으로)

  • Although personal media have become a giant industry, there is a lack of understanding of personal media creators. Therefore, this study aims to clarify factors influencing personal media creators' choice of platform. According to the analysis, there is a significant difference between the factors considered by YouTube, AfreecaTV, and Twitch creators. Moreover, the moderating effect of creators' main genre and broadcasting type were also found to be partially significant. It was found that both creators who share the motive of vividness and communication as their main genre and creators who focus on recording and broadcasting with career development motivation prefer YouTube.

  • Unauthorized generations and sales of non-funable tokens (NFTs) without the consent of the creator is one of the biggest problems that arise in NFT Marketplaces. This study proposes a method to practically reduce the problem of NFT sales without the consent of the creator by means of authentication with social media accounts. Through the proposed method, creators who are already using social media as a means of communication and marketing for creative activities can authenticate with their own accounts. Creators who have difficulty authenticating with their own accounts will be provided with alternatives to authenticate using human networks. In addition, the proposed method of protecting creator rights was designed using a flowchart to enable development using only the public API (Application Programming Interface) provided by social media. The proposed method can protect creators' rights and reduce damage caused by NFT fraud by inducing buyers to trade NFTs of authorized sellers through social media.

  • This study aims to identify the competencies required for webtoon artists to survive in the future era of AI commercialization. It explores the current and future use of AI in webtoons, and predicts the role of artists in the future webtoon industry. The study finds that AI will replace human workers in some areas, but human empathy-related fields can be sustained. Artist roles like story projectors, Visual directors, and AI editors were identified as potential models for the changing role of artists. To address terminology ambiguity, a three-step AI categorization mechanical type AI, humanoid type AI, and transcendent type AI was proposed for a more realistic separation of AI capabilities. The researcher suggested these findings as guidelines for developing skills in emerging artists or re-skilling existing ones, emphasizing collaboration with AI for mutual growth rather than a negative acceptance of new technology.

  • This study is aimed at developing a broadcast content creators' information behavior model through analysis of the process of information use including an integrated perspective such as cognitive, emotional and environmental aspects. Broadcast content creators have a common cognitive process and pools of information exchange and integration. In order to have emotional empathy with the general public they search and use the news and human and everyday life information seeking (ELIS). The most important thing is the context of social norms and culture in the broadcasting community and information about judgment is subjective and empirical.

  • Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have the advantage of being able to reliably manage details after minting, but how can ideas be protected before being converted to NFTs? The use of NFTs to increase the value of digital assets is increasing, but the problem of creating and selling NFTs without the consent of the creator is also increasing. Existing methods for protecting creators include a method of using a traditional authentication system and a method of using a social network, but each has limitations. Therefore, in this study, an identity token utilization method is proposed as a way to supplement the existing limitations. When an identity token is used, a certified NFT is issued through an existing identity authentication authority, so the verification of the authenticity of the token becomes clear. In addition, in inheritance and transfer, it becomes possible to respond to legal problems related to the transfer of creative rights.

  • 개인창작자와 MCN(multi-channel network)이 부상하고 있다. 미디어 환경이 빠르게 변화하면서 스마트폰과 무선인터넷이 TV를 대체하고 있다. 개인창작자를 지원하는 MCN에 대해 국내외 사업자들이 대규모 투자를 진행하면서 MCN이 활성화되고 있다. 이제 MCN은 개인창작자 지원을 뛰어넘어 사업영역을 확장하면서 미디어 생태계 변화를 주도하고 있다. 본고에서는 개인방송과 MCN의 동향과 미래 전망에 대해 알아본다.

  • This paper analyzed the process of text generation of the fan-made works in Korean idol. The subjects of the study adopted the fan-made works of 'BTS' and 'EXO'. This is applied the concepts of 'Apparatus-Operator' and 'Technical form' in Vilém Flusser. Idol contents build a database of fan-made works and create the storyworld through separation and integration of fan's interpretations. By decontextualizing and recontextualizing the idol contents, fans reinforce and extend the original texts.

  • 저작권법상의 저작물이란“문학∙학술 또는 예술의 범위에 속하는 창작물”을 말하며, 저작물성의 판단에 있어서 가장 중요한 점은 창작성이 있는지 여부인데, 우리나라의 학설 및 판례에 따르면 저작권법상의 창작성이란 단지 남의 것을 베끼지 않은 것으로서 창작자 자신의 개성이 들어나면 족한 것으로 보고 있으므로, 창작성이 인정되는 IP의 경우에는 저작권법상의 어문저작물 또는 설계도 등에 해당하는 저작물로 볼 여지가 있다.

  • This paper has examined the current status of Korea's welfare policy and asserts the necessity of artist classification by types of employment, dividing them into those who have irregular jobs and those who are in permanent positions, focusing on filmmakers. Furthermore, it has looked into the certification policy for artist welfare support that is currently in action. In conclusion, this paper discusses the certification and suggests implementation methods for "Artist Welfare Card" in expectation of future activation of Artist Welfare Support Project.

  • 현재 인간의 감성표현을 위한 수단중의 하나인 음악이 인간의 감성반응을 자극하는데 어떠한 역할과 기능을 하는가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 창작자 입장에서 감성 표현 시 음악의 요소들이 어떻게 활용되는지를 분석하고 각 의도된 정서 및 요소가 청취자의 감성반응으로 나타나는지를 연구하였다. 대표적인 음원 사이트인 네이버, 멜론, 엠넷에서 두 달 이상 5위안에 랭크된 곡들을 선정하였다. 선전된 각 곡들을 음악 전문가집단 대상에게 설문 조사하여 각 곡에 사용된 음악적 특징과 분석하고 각 요소 별 감성을 수집하여 연구 분석하였다. 이러한 연구를 토대로 창작자가 의도하는 감성과 청취자의 감성 반응에 대한 상관관계를 밝히는데 유용한 자료가 될 것이다.
