A Convergence Study on the Core Competencies of students: G university (G 대학 대학생 핵심역량 설정에 관한 융합연구)

  • This research is based on core competency in order to provide diverse educational opportunities and to train compatible human resources according to industrial change. The research set up the core competency of university students according to document research and the importance of core competency of students, professors, faculty and parents. As a result, a total of 14 competencies were deducted by importance and validation from enrolled students, graduated students and professors. A total of 5 core competencies and 14 detailed competencies were deducted. Creativity, problem solving ability, self-directed overall problem solving abilities, expertise ability, data processing ability, technology application according to industry, consideration and serving character, community service, communicational ability, self-management, inter personal relationship, foreign language ability, global, leadership and competence were the 14 elements of this research. Based on the result of this study, it is necessary to improve the competence of university students by applying them to the curriculum development and operation and to find out the extent of the students competence enhancement through the development of future capacity measuring tools.

The Effects of Flipped Learning Applied to Home Economics Education on Academic Engagement, Self-Directed Learning Ability and Social Interaction of Middle School Students (가정교과에 적용한 거꾸로 수업이 중학생의 수업참여도, 자기주도학습능력 및 사회적 상호작용에 미치는 효과)

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of flipped learning applied to home economics education on improving middle school students' academic engagement, self-directed learning ability and social interaction. The subjects of this study were 129 third-grade students in middle school. To verify the effects of flipped learning adequately, 129 middle school students divided into two groups have participated in the study over a course of nine weeks. One group was taught in the traditional instructed learning method while the other one in the flipped learning methods. The two groups were taught in 13 sessions in total once or twice a week, and each session took 45 minutes. For pretest and post test, the questionnaire consisting of academic engagement scale, self-directed learning scale and social interaction scale were used. To analyze data, ANCOVA was used to examine significant differences between two groups. The main results of this study were the following : First, students who participated in flipped learning are more improved than those who participate in instructed learning in academic engagement. Second, students who joined in flipped learning are much more improved than those who joined in instructed learning in self-directed learning ability. Third, students who join in flipped learning were much more improved than those who joined in instructed learning in social interaction.

Exploring Preservice Science Teachers' Views of the Nature of Science: Biology vs. Non-Biology Teachers (예비 과학교사의 과학의 본성에 대한 인식 조사: 생물과 비생물 교사와의 비교)

  • This study aims to explore preservice teachers' overall views of nature of science and compare their views by gender and certificate area (biology vs. non-biology teachers). In addition, a comparison with American preservice teachers' views was also implemented. The Views of Nature of Science (Abd-El-Khalick, 1998), an openended questionnaire, is utilized to explore participants' views of nature of science. Along with 'definition of science', six aspects of the nature of science, (1) theories and laws, (2) tentativeness, (3) social and cultural embeddedness, (4) creativity, (5) theory-laden, and (6) inference, were investigated. The qualitative result indicates that the participants' first image of science was about the method of science such as observations and experiments. Furthermore, these preservice science teachers particularly have a difficulty in differentiating between scientific theories and laws, and understanding the importance of creation and imagination in developing scientific knowledge. In addition, compared to American preservice teachers' view of the nature of science, Korean preservice teachers possess naive views in creative and imaginative aspect. Interestingly, biology teachers demonstrated lower understanding in theories and laws as well as tentativeness of scientific knowledge. However, there is no difference by gender.

품질경쟁력 평가모형에서 제품 디자인의 인과관계와 디자인 경영에 관한 실증적 분석 : 한국 제조업 부문을 중심으로

  • 생산자 중심에서 소비자 중심으로의 경영 패러다임이 변화함에 따라, 이제 디자인 경영(design management)의 시대가 도래하였다 즉, 제반 기능의 활동이 독립적이고 순차적으로 이루어지는 기존 경영방식(즉, 제품 개발 $\rightarrow$ 제품 디자인 $\rightarrow$ 제조 $\rightarrow$ 마케팅 $\rightarrow$ 판매)과는 달리, 디자인 경영은 디자인을 중심으로 제반 기능간의 통합과 조정을 이룬다. 이 결과, 디자인 경영은 조직간의 커뮤니케이션을 활성화시키며 소비자의 추상적인 욕구가 구체적으로 상품에 표현되도록 노력한다. 이렇게 함으로써, 디자인 경영은 기업 이미지 창조의 역할을 적극적으로 수행하는 것이다. 이와 같은 소비자 중심의 경영은 과거 제품의 판매(sales)지향적이던 기업 활동을 소비자와의 관계(relationship)지향적으로 변화시키고 있다. 본 연구의 분석 목적은 제품 디자인을 품질경쟁력의 결정요인으로서 포함시켜 품질경쟁력의 평가모형을 개발하고 품질경쟁력의 결정요인 및 상관관계와 품질함수를 추정함으로써 제품 디자인 및 디자인 경영의 기능적 역할을 규명하고 디자인 경쟁력 수준을 평가 및 측정할 수 있는 모형을 정립함과 동시에 이를 제고할 수 있는 정책방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이로써, 본 연구는 신상품의 개발과정에서 어떻게 제품 디자인이 연구개발, 제조, 마아케팅, 판매 등의 제반 기능들과 상호 작용하며 이들 기능들의 통합과 조정을 추구할 수 있는가를 보여주는 디자인 경영의 이론적 기초를 제공하고자 함이다. 상기와 같은 연구목적과 분석목표를 위하여, 한국 제조업 부문의 400개 표본기업에 대하여 소정의 설문조사를 통하여 추출된 측정변수들을 기초로 품질경쟁력의 결정요인을 분석하고 품질경쟁력 지수를 도출하여 산업부문별 및 제품유형별로 비교하였으며, 품질함수를 추정하였다. 전술한 분석결과를 토대로, 디자인 경영이론의 기초를 제공하기 위한 시도로서 제품 디자인의 파급효과와 인과관계에 대한 가설검정을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. (1) 품질경쟁력의 결정요인으로서 주요 제품들의 기능성, 기본 성능, 제품성과의 기술적 성취도, 제품 수명(내구성), 신뢰성, 핵심 기술력, 사용 편의성, 서비스 편의성, 생산 용이성, 제품 디자인의 우수한 정도가 a=0.01 수준 하에서 유의적으로 추정되었다. 이들 변수들 중에서 품질경쟁력에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 측정변수는 제품의 기본 성능, 수명(내구성), 신뢰성, 제품 디자인의 순서로 추정되었다. 이것은 한국 제조업이 아직 산업 디자인이 품질경쟁력에 크게 영향을 미치는 성숙단계에 이르지 못하였음을 의미한다. (2) 제품 디자인에게 영향을 끼치는 유의적인 변수는 연구개발력, 연구개발투자 수준, 혁신활동 수준(5S, TPM, 6Sigma 운동, QC 등)이며, 제품 디자인은 우선 품질경쟁력을 높여 간접적으로 고객만족과 고객 충성을 유발하는 것으로 추정되었다. 상기의 분석결과로부터, 본 연구는 다음과 같은 정책적 함의를 도출하였다. 첫째, 신상품 개발과 혁신을 위한 포괄적인 연구개발 프로젝트를 품질 경쟁력의 주요 결정요인(제품의 기본성능, 신뢰성, 수명(내구성) 및 제품 디자인)과 연계하여 추진해야 할 것이다. 둘째, 기업은 디자인 경영 마인드 제고와 디자인 전문인력 양성을, 대학은 디자인 현장 업무를 통하여 창의력 증진과 기획 및 마케팅 능력 교육을, 정부는 디자인 기술개발 및 디자인 교육지원의 강화를 통하여 각각 디자인 경쟁력$\rightarrow$품질경쟁력을 제고시켜야 할 것이다.

An Analytic Study of Mathematical Problem-Posing Activities for Two-hour Classes - Focusing on 3rd Grade Elementary School Children - (연차시 수업을 통한 수학 문제 만들기 활동 분석 연구 - 초등학교 3학년을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aimed to foster the learning abilities of mathematics, that is, along with the formation of a sure mathematical concept, extending the powers of doing mathematics, and bringing the creativities for 3rd grade elementary school children. In order to achieve these objects, we have executed mathematical classes for two consecutive hours of 16 times using the teaching model of [Learning contents in textbook]$\rightarrow$[The first problem Posing]$\rightarrow$[Problem solving to childrens' posing some problems]$\rightarrow$[Advanced problem posing] to 3rd grade school children during the first semester of 2009. In this paper, we analyzed problems that are made by children focusing on the four fundamental rules +, -, ${\times}$, $\div$ of arithmetic, with the view points of problem's completion, fluencies, flexibilities, buildings of concept, originalities and using materials. As a result of the comparative analysis of the first problems and advanced problems made by the children, the first problems were revealed to be rather better in of problem's completion and fluencies. And the flexibilities were improved in the division and multiplication classes carried on. Setting up the experimental and comparative class, we compared to the scholastic achievement of two classes for the beginning and end in the first semester. In the result, the former was improved in the scholastic achievement more than the latter.

Genetic Diversity of Rana catesbiana Captured on various sites in Korea based on mitochondrial ND1 sequence (미토콘드리아 ND1 유전자 염기서열 비교를 통한 국내 서식 황소개구리의 유전적 다양성 조사)

  • 1970년대 식용을 위한 양식을 목적으로 일본에서 수입된 황소개구리가 국내 하천과 호서생태계에 큰 피해를 주었으나, 최근 급속히 그 개체수가 줄어든 것으로 추정되므로 이번 연구에서는 국내에 서식하는 북미산 황소개구리의 유전자 분석을 통하여 개체동태군에 대한 유전적 연관을 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 전라남도 지역에서 서식하는 황소개구리를 채집하여 이미 발표된 북미산 황소개구리와 미토콘드리아 ND1/tRNA 유전자 1215bp의 염기서열을 비교, 분석하였다. 북미산과 비교하였을 때 조사한 국내 서식 개체 모두에게 ND1/tRNA 유전자 1개 위치에서 염기변화가 발견되었으나 이는 도입 개체군의 유전자인지 국내 특이변이가 진행된 것인지 확실하지 않다. 또한 조사한 개체 일부에서 유전자 염기서열의 6위치에서의 변이가 발견되었으나 국내 서식 황소개구리는 미국산 황소개구리와의 유전적 차이가 거의 없으며, Kimura-2-parameter 분석결과 국내 서식 황소개구리 개체 내에서 $98.7\%\~100\%$의 높은 유사성을 보여 종내 유전적 차이가 거의 없는 것으로 보인다. Neighbor-Joining과 Maximum Parsimony 분석 결과, cluster를 이루는 개체군의 차이를 보였으므로 개체들이 분화되어 나온 시점과 위치가 다른 것으로 확인되었지만 장흥, 영암, 고흥의 개체가 국내 도입시기의 개체군에 속하며 광주, 남평 지역의 개체군이 고흥의 한 개체로부터 분화되어 나왔음을 추정할 수 있다. 이러한 결과로부터 국내에 서식하는 황소개구리가 도입 후 지역 특이적 분화가 일어났다고 결정하기는 무리가 있으며, 이와 같이 유전적 유전도가 높은 개체들간의 교배에 따른 유전적유전적 다양성의 감소가 최근에 관찰되는 국내산 황소개구리의 급격한 감소원인들 중의 하나일 가능성을 시사한다.년도) 18,756, 2045(년도) 22,595, 시장점유율 증가로 인한 수출액 증가분 누적(억원) : 2015(년도) 3,411, 2025(년도) 8,847, 2035(년도) 14,433, 2045(년도) 18,005 또한 시나리오 비교평가를 실시하여 본 결과, 본 연구에서 정의한 순편익 누적(Cumulative Net Profit) 변수를 적용하면 현재 연구비 추세 대비 $30\%$ 까지 연구비를 증가 시키는 것이 효율적임을 알 수 있었다.성, 생산 용이성, 제품 디자인의 우수한 정도가 a=0.01 수준 하에서 유의적으로 추정되었다. 이들 변수들 중에서 품질경쟁력에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 측정변수는 제품의 기본 성능, 수명(내구성), 신뢰성, 제품 디자인의 순서로 추정되었다. 이것은 한국 제조업이 아직 산업 디자인이 품질경쟁력에 크게 영향을 미치는 성숙단계에 이르지 못하였음을 의미한다.   • The purpose of this study is to design a teaching model applying a problem-based learning model and to analyze the educational benefits that students felt. This study initiated a problem-based learning model from an analysis of existing studies. Through the consultation of experts, the scenario was modified. The problem was designed according to the design stage activity (problem analysis, PBL class suitability judgment, contents analysis, learner analysis, environment analysis, PBL operating environment decision, PBL class) and Strategic Design (problem situation design, learning resource design, Facilitation design, operational strategy design, evaluation design, PBL operating environment design). Based on the initial scenarios, the researcher analyzed the results of the problem - based learning through learners' reflective diaries. The researcher was able to confirm that the critical thinking and creativity were improved in the first PBL problem situation, and the method for smooth communication and cooperation was utilized. The results on analyzing the effects of education about the first problem-based learning and students' opinions about modification will be used for the second revision and supplement of the course design. This study introduces a case of PBL course development and expects further application and research.

The Potential Application of Environmental Psychology and Behavior Studies to Environmental Design (환경심리.행태 연구의 가능성과 한계성)

  • Environmental designers in Korea have shown interests in Environomental Psychology and Behavior Studies (EPBS) since 1970's. However, many designers, who have expected a great deal of contribution from the EPBS, have disappointed due to their overexpectation and misunderstanding on the EPBS. This study intends to analyse the nature of the EPBS and to investigate the potential contribution of the EPBS to the field of environmental design. The EPBS are able to help designers by providing scentific data in each stage of the design process. Further, most design theories and principles are based on the findings of the EPBS. Thus the development of the EPBS has great potential of contribution to the development of design theories arid principles Due to the scientific nature of the EPBS, however, the EPBS have difficulties in supplying scientific data within relatively short period, which make most designers impatient. Designers should understand the scientific nature of the EPBS and be patient in expecting usable outcome from the EPBS. Further, Designers should not expect the EPBS give them design soultion itself.

The Present Status of Picture Book Reading Activities and Utilization of Picture Book Peritexts of Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사의 그림책 읽기활동 현황 및 주변텍스트에 대한 인식과 활용)

  • Objective: The purpose of the study was to investigate the current status of early childhood teachers' picture book reading activities and their knowledge and utilization of the picture book peritexts. Methods: The subjects were 276 early childhood teachers in Seoul metropolitan area. The survey was conducted to investigate early childhood teachers' current status of picture book reading activities as well as their knowledge and utilization of picture book peritexts. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 21.0 program to analyze descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage. Results: As results, most early childhood teachers recognized that reading picture books to young children was very important and responded that the purpose of reading picture books was to develop children's imagination and creativity. In terms of early childhood teachers' knowledge on 12 peritexts, some peritexts such as 'title', 'cover' and 'title page' were recognized at high level but other peritexts such as typography and layout were at low level. In addition, early childhood teachers' utilization level of peritexts were shown as relatively low compared to their knowledge level. Conclusion/Implications: The study results imply that early childhood teachers need to be informed of the concepts of picture book peritexts and encouraged to utilize peritexts while reading picture books to young children.

  • STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. It is considered important to equip students with a creative thinking ability and the core competences required in future society, helping them devise new ideas emerging from branches of study. This study is about the convergence of instructional design in private finance for the life sciences, which aims to foster talent through problem-based learning (PBL). Skills like collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving are part of any STEAM PBL, and are needed for students to be effective. STEAM projects give students a chance to problem-solve in unique ways, because they are forced to use a variety of methods to solve problems that pop up during these types of activities. The results of this study are as follows. First is the structured process of convergence lessons. Second is the convergence lesson process. Third is the development of problems in the introduction of private finance and the life sciences for a convergence lesson at Dornod University. Learning motivation shows the following results: understanding of learning content (66.6%), effectiveness (63.3%), self-directed learning (59.9%), motivation (63.2%), and confidence (63.3%). To make an effective model, studies applying this instructional design are to be implemented.
