  • The purpose of this study is to examine the motivational factors of university graduates participating in 'Youth Technology Transfer Specialist Training Project(Youth TLO)' by applying Vroom's expectancy theory. Moreover, it is verified that the effect of actual participation behavior and individual performance improvement for the university graduates in Gyeonggi-do, Busan regions. The motivation factors were consisted of valence, instrumentality, and expectancy. An empirical analysis was conducted of the effects on the verification of the demographic characteristics of the target, the behaviour of personal business participation in the Valence and Force model, and the improvement of performance. Three results were inferred from 322 collected data as follows; First, comparative analysis about expectancy, which related to work experience, according to demographic characteristics such as gender, residence, age, and employment period revealed no significant differences in mean value, except career duration. Especially, the university graduates in 'Youth TLO' who had internship experience had the highest level of recognition for the expectancy. Second, both of valence and force model had influence on participation behavior and performance improvement. Notably, determination of coefficient for the valence model were higher than those for the force model. Third, level of mediation effects for the valence model were higher than those for the force model in respect of direct, indirect, and the total. Moreover, it was verified that the three motivation factors could improve individual performance and participation behavior had partial mediation effect.

  • Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs) are played by millions of people around the world. Within MMORPGs, players explore, solve mysteries, craft items, battle against dungeon or raid bosses, or compete against other players, all while using a variety of information and information behaviors. Role-players in MMORPGs develop identities and engage in interactive storytelling with other role-players as their characters. An ethnographic approach combining overt participant observation and engagement, semi-structured interviews, and artifact collection was used to explore and describe the social information behaviors of role-players through the lens of the theory of information worlds. The social types evident in the role-playing community in WildStar, a science fantasy-themed MMORPG, are closely interrelated to and differentiated by social norms and information values that dictate acceptable characters, stories, character actions, and appropriate lore sources as well as how to role-play without violating the boundary between in- and out-of-character information worlds. Role-players maintained the in-character and out-of-character boundary using a set of specific information behaviors to enable engaging and immersive role-playing experiences. Implications of the findings for the theory of information worlds as well as potential applications of role-playing and MMORPGs are also discussed.

  • This study investigated how latent groups depend on the longitudinal trajectories observed in fathers' involvement in parenting over a five year period, and the study also determined differences in children's behavioral problems and mother's parenting stress, marital satisfaction, and depression among these groups. By utilizing 1,316 sets of data from 1st to 5th Panel Survey of PSKC beginning in 2008, we examined the patterns of the latent groups and the differences among them. The results showed that, first, a changing pattern of fathers' involvement in parenting is classified into four groups: a low-stable group, a decreasing group. a middle-high changeable group, and a highest changeable group. According to the results of the latent groups, the fathers' involvement in parenting commonly started to decrease at the children's age of 4 years old. Second, problematic behaviors of children appeared more from the fathers in the decreasing group. Third, parenting stress, marital conflict, and depression were more often found in the low-stable group that in the decreasing group. the middle-high changeable group and the highest changeable group (in that order), while marital satisfaction showed a completely opposite pattern. Based on these results, political intervention and the future direction of research for fathers' involvement in parenting are needed in order to increase better behaviors of their children as well as the psychological well-being of their mothers.

  • As the P2P service does not have any administration authorities that are able to manage the behavior of participants and control the malicious users, malicious user can give harm to legitimate users for the benefit of themselves. To perform the secure transaction with new members who did not have past experiences on transaction, service users can differentiate malicious users and legitimate users by referring to the reputation information that provided by users having past experience. However, users can intentionally give false evaluation to other users on Performed transaction. We call these users as 'liar'. In this Paper, we propose a new reputation system for liar reduction to guarantee an accuracy on reputation information.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a family resilience program for families of children with ADHD. For this purpose, a preliminary program was developed as a pre-program development stage and its effectiveness was evaluated. To develop a preliminary program, a prior study was reviewed before developing the program, which was carried out. The program was conducted after recruiting seven mothers of children diagnosed with ADHD. It was operated for a total of eight sessions, two times a week, for 120 minutes. A single system design was designed to assess the effectiveness of the developed Family Resilience program. Then, the Family Resilience goals of the individuals set by the research participants were measured. The results of the study showed a slight increase in scores for all participants in the program. By discussing the effects, limitations and suggestions of the developed preliminary program, we hope that a family resilience program for families of children with ADHD will be developed based on this preliminary program research.
