  • 인터네트와 응용 프로그램이 하나로 통합된 인트라네트(IntraNet)가 차세대 네트워크 환경으로 급격히 부상하고 있다. 본 고에서는 인트라네트 개념, 기본 구성도, firewall 및 개발 동향 등을 조사 분석함으로써 유사한 환경에 처한 국내 PC 통신 서비스의 추진 전략 수립에 참고가 되도록 하였다.

  • 최근 음악 파일 무료 공유 프로그램을 서비스하던 냅스터사의 소송사건이 냅스터의 패소로 끝남에 따라 전세계에 미치는 파장이 커지고 있다. 비록 음반 관련 기업 뿐아니라 인터넷 콘텐츠 업체들의 유료화에까지 미치는 영향이 크다. 또한 인터넷과 관련한 많은 저작권문제 들이 냅스터의 판례를 참조할 것은 명약관화하다. 이에 인터넷 관련 기업들의 저작권 문제에 참고가 되기를 바라면서 냅스터 사건에 대한 미연방 법원의 판결문 전문을 게재한다.

  • 최근에는 정보통신부에서 주관하는 '2000년도 지식정보연계 활용체제구축사업' 중 '과학기술종합정보시스템 구축' 사업의 일환으로 연구보고서 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 이 사업은 연구보고서과제목록, 본문, 목차 및 참고문헌에 대한 데이터베이스 구축을 주요내용으로 하였으며 한국과학기술정보연구원의 과학기술종합정보시스템을 통하여 서비스하고 있다.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, public libraries need a strategy for promoting intelligent library services in order to actively respond to changes in the external environment such as artificial intelligence. Therefore, in this study, based on the concept of artificial intelligence and analysis of domestic and foreign artificial intelligence related trends, policies, and cases, we proposed the future direction of introduction and development of artificial intelligence services in the library. Currently, the library operates a reference information service that automatically provides answers through the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies such as deep learning and natural language processing, and develops a big data-based AI book recommendation and automatic book inspection system to increase business utilization and provide customized services for users. Has been provided. In the field of companies and industries, regardless of domestic and overseas, we are developing and servicing technologies based on autonomous driving using artificial intelligence, personal customization, etc., and providing optimal results by self-learning information using deep learning. It is developed in the form of an equation. Accordingly, in the future, libraries will utilize artificial intelligence to recommend personalized books based on the user's usage records, recommend reading and culture programs, and introduce real-time delivery services through transport methods such as autonomous drones and cars in the case of book delivery service. Service development should be promoted.

  • This study aims to perform an evaluation of the book services and academic information services provided by the major search portals of Korea and the United States. This study also investigates the relationships between search portals and academic libraries. The results of this study can be implemented for the development and improvement of the portals' book and academic information services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing services from search portals. The results of this study can also provide implications for the differentiation of academic library services.

  • The one of the methods which academic libraries maximize the user service is to perform the 'liaison' service that embodies the customized service to make close linkage with library and users. The purpose of this study is to propose the operational plan of 'liaison' service at academic libraries. It was explored the necessity of liaison service, the definition and role of liaison librarian. After this study examined the case of activities and duties of liaison librarian at Korean and foreign academic libraries, the operational plan such as organization, administration and steps et al. of 'liaison' service were proposed.

  • The purposes of this research are to search and analyze information theories which are useful to approach bibliotherapy in terms of 'therapeutic' readers' advisory service, and to propose a conceptual model of 'therapeutic' readers' advisory service on the basis of such theoretical foundations. To the end, Dervin's sense-making theory and Kuhlthau's ISP model are introduced and applied to the conceptual model. The conceptual model is profoundly based on Dervin's situation-gap-use metaphor and Kuhlthau's Uncertainty Principle.

  • The purposes of this article are to explore the current situation and problems of user education in Korean libraries, and to seek some feasible solutions to establish user education as a library service. To the end, the main focus of discussion is on identifying both current situation and special features in user education of Korean libraries, as compared to those of the U.S. libraries. Also followed is a comparative discussion on the formal education systems to educate instruction librarians and the activities of professional associations to train instruction librarians between Korea and the U.S. The final suggestion is given regarding the obligations that Korean LIS scholars, professional library associations, and individual librarians should fulfill to establish user education as a healthy library service, which is suitable for Korean library situations.

  • This research dealt with the methodological procedures of ubiquitous sensor networks, applying to urban ground facilities. Recently Korean government established a guide, "u-City IT Infra guide v1.0" when promoting u-City implement projects. This guide conceptually included general processes about u-City mainframe in overall, but its guidance could not lead the detailed procedures and methods for specific ground facility. Therefore, this research proposed the details of the procedure for the intelligence of facilities after reviewing the existing procedures for ubiquitous city. Newly proposed procedure for the intelligence of facilities was consisted of selection of facility and sensors for intelligence, setting a level for intelligence, and suggestion of service model for the selected facility.

  • 최근 통신서비스 시장 전반적인 성장정체와 경쟁 심화의 영향으로 주요 통신서비스 사업자들은 '고객만족'을 경영의 핵심요소로 설정하고, 다양한 노력을 하고 있다. 이는 신규가입 자 유치가 쉽지 않은 상태에서 고객만족도가 하락할 경우, 결과적으로 가입자 이탈로 이어져 단순한 기업 이미지 하락차원을 벗어나 사업자의 수익에도 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것을 반영하고 있다 이와 관련, 과거의 요금이나 마케팅 차원에서의 가입자 기반 강화 노력에서 탈피해서 서비스 품질에 대한 근본적인 개선과 가입자의 욕구를 미리 파악, 서비스를 제공함으로써 가입자 불만을 최소화하려는 움직임이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 2002년 9월 정보통신부 주도로 초고속인터넷 서비스를 중심으로 서비스수준협약(SLA: Service Level Agreement) 제도가 도입된 이후 아직까지는 제도, 정책, 환경 등의 측면에서 초보적인 수준을 벗어나지는 못 하고 있지만, 통신사업자 입장에서는 점차 증가하는 가입자의 불만에 대응책과 경쟁 사업자 대비 차별화 방안 모색의 필요성 증가로 인해 그 활용도가 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 통신서비스에 대한 SLA 제도 도입과 관련해서 SLA 제도에 대한 사용자의 반응을 파악, 향후 품질보장형 네트워크의 구축, 사용자의 고품질 서비스에 대한 요구 증대, 사용자 보호정책 강화 푸진 등에 따른 통신사업자 입장에서 참고할 만한 사항을 제시 하고자 한다.
