The purpose of this study is to develop an approach to teaching qualitative research methods (TQRM) for Library and Information Science. To draw trend of TQRM, 76 course syllabi collected in the research oriented universities' master and doctoral programs, were analyzed using content analysis. The study proposes both common topics and essential strategies for TQRM in terms of the paradigm of qualitative research, research design, wide range of approaches to QR, diversity of collecting and analyzing data, writing, and evaluation criteria. It is very important to identify qualitative stance and to understand paradigms and philosophical and theoretical frameworks of QR for conducting QR reiteratively, creatively, reflectively.

교육학의 질적 연구는 문헌 연구, 면담 연구, 비참여 관찰 연구, 참여 관찰 연구로 분류한다. 문헌연구에는 내용분석, 철학적 연구, 역사학적 연구, 문학적 비평이 들어가고, 면담연구에는 구술사, 전기, 탐문(探問) 저널리즘 등이 포함되고, 비참여 관찰연구에는 전문적 감정(鑑定), 인간의 종적 특성 연구, 관찰자 연구, 비개입적 행동 연구 등이 포함된다. 마지막으로 참여 관찰연구는 일반적 현장연구, 문화 기술적 연구가 포함된다. 질적 연구는 사람, 사물, 현상의 범주화나 수량화가 가해지기 이전의 상태, 즉 '있는 그대로'의 상태에 최대한 접근하는 방법으로써, 고정관념을 깨고 기존의 이론을 최대한 유보한 채 연구에 임하는 것으로 최근에 발달한 인문사회과학적 연구방법이다. 질적 인식이 자연언어에 주로 의존하는 데 비해 양적 인식은 인공언어에 많이 의존한다. 수식과 도형, 부호등은 대표적인 인공언어이다. 모든 사물이 질과 양의 속성을 다 가지고 있듯이 모든 연구는 질적 과정과 양적 과정을 다 포함하고 있다. 질적이냐, 양적이냐 하는 구분은 연구방법론의 문제인데 연구방법론은 연구논리와 연구기법을 포함한다. 본 연구는 인공언어인 수와 식에만 익숙한 수학교육에서, 질적 연구가 왜 필요한지, 어떤 특성이 있는지 논의함으로써 수학교육의 새로운 방법론을 제시하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of social welfare network. The qualitative case study method was utilized from a communities of practice perspective. Depth interviews were conducted among 10 social workers of community welfare agencies who have practiced network activities. Data were analyzed with constant-comparative methods(Strauss and Corbin(1990)). The result are the followings; In incubation stage, the core theme was "collaboration for surmount overcoming difficulties from the bottom". In intergration stage, "acquirement of normative value basement" was emerged. "Reinforcement of solidarity" and "reconfirmation of identity" were drawn as core themes in muturation stage. There were core themes "construction of original image" and "shifting from private connection to public connection" in maintenance stage. Lastly stage a care theme of "qualitative transition" was emerged in transformation.

This qualitative content analysis aims to explore the meaning of experiences for college students who have experienced community service activities. This study aimed to find the essence of college students' community service experiences and provide them with basic data to develop effective personality education methods and service programs. The participants of this study were six college students with community service experience. Data were collected through in-depth interviews from May to September 2019 and were analyzed using the qualitative content analysis method suggested by Graneheim & Lundman. The community service experiences of college students could be summarized by the core theme, "Becoming a social professional through growth and maturity", consisting of the following themes: together in a living experience, growth through sharing, achieving maturity toward professionalism, and experiencing one's limitations. Through this study, it was confirmed that the experience of college students' service activities would cultivate the human character and competency necessary to live with others, the community, and nature. The college student's service activities could be used as an important educational program in personality education.

The purpose of this research is to suggest a library marketing model. To achieve the study purpose, this research adopted content analysis methodology. The research papers relating to the subject library marketing were analyzed using qualitative content analysis method. In addition, the study result was revised through the comparison with the general nonprofit marketing process model. As a result, library marketing model was proposed. The final library marketing model was composed of the following elements: 1)Customers(Library users), 2)Internal environmental changes, 3)External environmental changes, 4)Set library marketing goals, 5)Various library marketing strategies, 6)Specific marketing strategy tactics, 7)Implementation of the tactics, 8)Evaluation, 9)Positive evaluation result, 10)Negative evaluation result, 11)Customer satisfaction, 12)Increased library usage rate. and 13)Establishment the positive social value of library.

The purpose of this study was to analyze inductively Critical Success Factors of Digital Textbook-Based Instruction based on qualitative research. To accomplish the purpose of the study, D elementary school in Incheon, one of digital textbook model schools, was selected as the school for observation. Three fifth graders and their teacher were interviewed and their six lessons were used for analyzing teaching and learning activities in digital textbook-based instruction. The results of the study, 'the use of systematic strategies based on multimedia features', 'information literacy-related questions and answers', 'specific guidance and help', 'the stability of the physical system and equipment', 'active collaborative learning and interaction', 'individual self-directed learning', 'consideration of emotional/physical changes', 'selection and concentration based upon available resources were identified as critical success factors of digital textbook-based instruction.

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of reading education of the specialized high schools for an alternative education. Among the specialized high schools for an alternative education, five schools were selected for the study. To achieve the study purpose, interviews were conducted with the teachers in charge of reading education of the schools. The interviews were recorded and transcribed. According to the study results, there have been attempts to integrate curriculum and reading education based on humanities. Students were actively participating in planning and conducting reading programs. Furthermore, there were Library Assisted Instructions. In order to proceed successfully with the reading education, there were several important factors as follows: 1)there was an organized system to support reading education by teachers, schools, and school libraries. 2)students' interests and needs were reflected in designing reading programs, 3)reading programs were adjusted according to students' needs and interests, and 4)reading activities were emphasized.

Statement analysis is a technique that examines the credibility of a statement by scientifically analyzing problems and psychological characteristics that appear in the content of the statement. The statement analysis report is prepared, submitted, and used for legal judgments when there is a suspicion of sexual abuse for children(under 13 years of age) and persons with disabilities since it is usually difficult to secure physical evidence nor eyewitnesses. However, the criteria for evaluating the quality of a statement analysis report or testimony are not available in Korea. Although forensic experts and professional organizations in North America and Europe are providing recommendations and guidelines for preparing forensic assessment reports, qualitative analysis research studies for forensic reports revealed a number of problems such as missing or poorly described essential information and lack of logical connection between evaluation results and forensic opinions. Therefore, forensic evaluation guidelines and forensic reports submitted to the courts in the United States, as well as the Structured Quality assessment of eXpert testimony (SQX-12) developed in Sweden were examined to suggest the Korean version of quality evaluation criteria for statement analysis report and testimony. This criteria can be used to improve effectiveness of forensic reports within criminal justice system and used as a guideline to assess the quality forensic reports or expert testimony prepared by experts. However, this criteria do not guarantee the reliability of the statement itself.

The purpose of this study was to examine validity of developed Logo-Autobiography for College students (LAC). The LAC was developed based on Frankl's logotherapy and Logo-Autobiography program for middle-aged women. Eleven college students participated in 6 sessions of LAC after 3 psychiatric nurse practitioners confirmed content validity of the program. Focus group interviews were conducted to identify participation experiences and to examine validity of the program sessions. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis method. A total of 9 themes were emerged from the data; 1)Realizing my existence, 2)Discovering my uniqueness of existence, 3)Thinking my future, 4)Experiences of encounter, 5)My uniqueness, 6)Experiences of successful coping, 7)Realizing freedom of attitude choice, 8)Needs of self-transcendence, and 9)Discovering my existence. The emerged 9 themes were all evaluated to be consistent with the objectives and topics of each session. We suggest a randomized experimental study to examine effects of LAC on college students' mental health.

본 연구의 목적은 지난 20여 년간 발표되었던 복식사 연구 논문의 연구방법을 검토, 분석함으로서 복식 연구의 학문적 기초를 다지며, 아울러 미래의 복식 연구가 나아가야 할 바람직한 연구 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 1977년부터 1996년 사이 미국의 복식관련 학술지에 발표된 총 34편의 복식 연구논문을 수집하여, 각 논문의 연구방법과 주제, 사용된 자료, 다른 학문과의 연계성에 관한 내용을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서는 복식연구의 방법을 질적(Qualitative)연구방법으로 서술형(Narrative)과 해석형(Interpretive), 그리고 양적(Quantitative) 연구방법의 세 가지 유형으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면, 복식학자들은 복식사가 갖는 다른 여러 학문영역과의 연계성(Interdis-ciplinary nature)으로 인하여, 광대한 연구주제에 따라, 각종 연구자료를 이용하여, 여러 학문적 관점에서, 다양한 연구 방법을 적용시켜 왔던 것을 알 수 있다. 적절한 연구방법의 선택은 각 논문에 따라 연구자의 의도, 주어진 연구주제, 가능한 모든 자료를 근거로 하여 결정되어야 하며, 하나의 논문 내에서도 각 부분에 적합한 여러 연구방법을 병행하여 사용함으로서 가장 효과적으로 연구의 목적을 달성할 수 있어야 한다.
