This paper is a study on the perception of current competency and expected competency of engineering freshmen by extracting core competencies acquired from university education. It also aims to suggest proper way for engineering university education. This study extracts competencies in the following five areas as core competencies: 'knowledge on major area', 'cultural ability', 'foreign language ability', 'basic learning ability', 'intercommunication ability'. To achieve this purpose, this study surveyed 'C' university engineering department freshmen (584 students) with questionnaires about their perception of core competencies. The results are as follows. First, engineering freshmen perceived current competencies were weak in every area, especially their capacities in 'foreign language ability' area were perceived to be weakest. Their demand for education is the highest in 'foreign language ability' area, and the second higher in 'knowledge on major area'. Secondly, there exists meaningful difference between perception of current competency and expected competency depending on the gender, high school department (science/liberal arts), high school location, types of college admissions, and types of mathematics in NAST. According to these results, this study suggests enhancement of foreign language (English) education in engineering department, design and implementation of various educational program to overcome individual difference, promoting importance of competencies in the 'cultural abilty' and 'intercommunication abilty', necessity of continuous adjustment and complementation for engineering educational program through accumulation of feedback processes, activation of career education through engineering education and special programs.
In this study, it was to prepare a plan for improving the employment rate of college students after identifying employment preparation behavior by grade level. Based on data collected in this study, frequency analysis was analyzed and in order to find out the difference of employment preparation behavior between grade level, Cross-analysis was performed. The purposes of this study were to develop the student activity-centered science textbook model in high school and explore the field application possibility. For development of student activity-centered science textbook model, we conducted a literature survey about foreign science textbook and science curriculum and we developed the textbook development framework based on 7E learning model. Based on framework, we developed student activity-centered science textbook model about achievement standards 'systems and interaction - earth systems'. A development model is the total amount of five class periods and the various objectives were reflected in pursuit systems thinking & STEAM. 1~4 class periods, learning content composed of student activity-centered exploration activities that organically associated to make final products. Fifth class period was presented to explore job and career. A development model was applied to high school class for one time study. Applying the result of field study, students were responded positively in interested about science class, textbook contents, made final product. Through this study, if science textbook was made on the basis of the revised student activity-centered science textbook model, students were lead to positive change in science class.

In this study, we examine the mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between grit and self-determination in college students in order to provide basic data for ensuring the positive development required for college students to understand their collective, as well as their individual, abilities. This study comprised college students sampled from three cities in Chungcheong province: Daejeon, Sejong, and Cheonan. The collected data were analyzed using AMOS 22.0 statistical software. The results of this study are as follows. First, firmness of mind and courage in the face of hardship (based on the resilience of college students) was found to have a statistically significant, positive effect on that resilience. Second, this grit in college students has a statistically significant, positive effect on their self-determination. Third, the resilience from college students' self-determination revealed that resilience has a statistically significant, positive impact on their self-determination. Fourth, we found after verifying the mediating effect of resilience in the relationship between grit and self-determination of college students that resilience has a mediating effect in the relationship between grit and self-determination. This study is significant in that it provided empirical grounds for self-determination in college students by identifying the relationship between the motivational variables affecting their self-determination.

The purpose of our study is to confirm the usefulness of our new youth entrepreneurship program. In this study, I suggest design thinking as a new Youth entrepreneurship program which is consist of 9 dimensions: opportunity discovery, opportunity utilization, creativity capacity, career preparation behavior, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial intention, self-preservation, social problem solving, and educational program objectives. To verify this new program, I conduct a pilot test in middle school and high school; the sample target is randomly selected one class in each school. My main finding is two. First, our new program successfully improves Youth entrepreneurship. Particularly, the improvement of opportunity utilization and entrepreneurial intention are prominent. As reasons, studies about food industry entrepreneurship is an unfamiliar subject for adolescent. Considering that entrepreneurial intention rapidly changes after the experience of entrepreneurial education, researchers need to focus on this variable. Second, I confirm the effects of gender, motivation, prior experience, interest oneself and other's recommendation about the entrepreneurship program. As a result, gender and prior experience do not have an important influence. On the other hand, voluntary interest and other's recommendation are influential. The most important factor is the influence of a teacher. Therefore, researchers need to examine the more specific mechanism of each dimension in the future.

The purpose of this research was to develop instructions for making upcycled clothing accessories related to the 'clothing management and recycling' unit of middle school home economics applying the design thinking technique. Teaching and learning process plans were developed according to the ADDIE model which includes the following process: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The design thinking process includes understanding the related knowledge, sympathizing, problem identification(sharing perspectives) and idea development, making prototypes, testing, and making the actual product. Thirteen home economics teachers served as critics. Student feedbacks were collected to evaluate whether the course objectives were attained after the implementation. As a result, teaching and learning process plans, course materials, and evaluation rubrics for ten class sessions were developed. Student feedbacks confirmed the attainment of following five course objectives: improvement of ethical responsibilities through the exploration of various clothing recycling techniques, practice of creative and eco-friendly clothing culture, acquisition of the skills to use sewing tools safely, improvement of abilities to think, sympathize, and communicate, and exploration of aesthetic activities and fashion careers.
The purpose of this study is to examine the outcomes and implementation process from various stakeholders' perspectives related to the CAMPUS Asia (Collective Action for Mobility Program of University Student in Asia) pilot project, and thereby provide practical suggestions for it. The pilot projet of the CAMPUS Asia lasted four years from 2012 to 2015. A hybrid approach was used to analyze its implementation process, and diverse sources of data such as documents, surveys, and interviews were employed for analysis. Findings showed the accomplishments of the CAMPUS Asia pilot project for promoting participants' development and building the foundation for international cooperation at the governmental and institutional levels, while various limitations were also identified. In addition, analysis was conducted to identify the contextual factors that influenced the outcomes and limitations of the CAMPUS Asia pilot project at the governmental, institutional, and student levels. Based on these findings, multiple suggestions to maximize the effect of the CAMPUS Asia pilot project were provided, for example, to set up the ultimate goals of the project clearly, for governments to coordinate different academic systems by country and address the issue of credit transfer, to establish the uniqueness of the project, to strengthen the curriculum of each consortium, to co-manage the extra-curricular activities, and to develop the specialized career paths.
Recently, youth unemployment, especially the unemployment problem of university graduates, has emerged as a social problem. Unemployment of university graduates is both a pan-national issue and a university-level issue, and each university is making many efforts to increase the employment rate of graduates. In this study, we present a model that predicts employment availability of D-university graduates by utilizing Machine Learning. The variables used were analyzed using up to 138 personal information, admission information, bachelor's information, etc., but in order to reflect them in the future curriculum, only the data after admission works effectively, so by department / student. The proposal was limited to the recommended ability to improve the separate employment rate. In other words, since admission grades are indicators that cannot be improved due to individual efforts after enrollment, they were used to improve the degree of prediction of employment rate. In this research, we implemented a employment prediction model through analysis of the core ability of D-University, which reflects the university's philosophy, goals, human resources awards, etc., and machined the impact of the introduction of a new core ability prediction model on actual employment. Use learning to evaluate. Carried out. It is significant to establish a basis for improving the employment rate by applying the results of future research to the establishment of curriculums by department and guidance for student careers.
