  • The administrative employees of government were analyzed on their levels of psychosocial stress and job satisfaction to reveal the various factors related to them. The self-administered questionnaires were performed, during the period between May 25th, 2007 and June 5th, to 550 individuals in the service of general administration located in Daejeon City. The Survey items included subjects' socio-denographic and job-related characteristics, health-related behavior pattern, locus of control, sense of self-esteem, psychosocial stresses and degree of job satisfaction. The study results indicate that the level of stress or job satisfaction is so complicatedly influenced by variable factors such as socio-demographic characteristics, job-related characteristics, health-related behaviors, or social psycologic factors like type A behavior pattern, internal locus of control, self-esteem or stress coping. Thus, the effective strategy for stress reduction and increase of job satisfaction among governmental employees requires additional programs.

The mean customer orientation significantly according to employment status (p<0.01) and meal service time (p<0.01). There was positive correlation (p<0.01) between surface acting, and emotional exhaustion cynicism, but negative correlation (p<0.01) between surface acting and vigor, dedication, absorption, and customer orientation. Deep acting had negative correlation (p<0.01) with emotional exhaustion and cynicism, positive correlation (p<0.05) with vigor, dedication, absorption, and customer orientation. Surface acting had negative influences on emotional exhaustion and cynicism, cynicism had negative influences on vigor, dedication, absorption, and customer orientation. • This paper investigates the possibilities of protecting game developers under the work-for-hire provision of copyright law. Fundamentally, the work-for-hire clause provides the authorship status to companies, not to game developers. Some argue that the clause is especially appropriate in software industries including game industries because they are new and different from typical types of copyright industries. However, game industries are different from software industries as well as typical types of copyright industries in that they have both cultural (artistic) as well as industrial characteristics. Game developers not being provided with the authorship status may be one of the reasons for the disputes related to turnover and knowledge leakage. This paper mainly suggests three kinds of solutions: first, protecting the moral right even in the work-for-hire provision; second, protecting game developers as coauthorship; and third, providing monetary compensation as it is in employee invention.

  • Bookmagic is a new reading program that encourages children of 5-15 ages to enjoy reading. Bookmagic provides free downloadable resources such as pre-reading and after-reading activities, booklists, posters and awards. Since a number of reading programs have already been developed, published and used, Bookmagic is not a toally new project. However, it is distinguished by the process of creating the program. While most of the reading programs available in Korea were developed by individual occupations(academic experts, private enterprises, civic organisations, associations of librarians or teachers), Bookmagic was designed by a team of various professionals including a picture book author, an academic researcher, a primary school teacher, a school librarian and two public librarians. Working in a partnership with other professionals, participant librarians had a unique opportunity to develop expertises on reading education as a creator of a program rather than as a deliverer.
