  • Thanks to the data processing facilities of modern digital computers, the performances of radar has been promoted greatly as one of the main components of command and control systems along with the computer communications. In this study, radar data integrating and processing systems were designed for the data processing of various information from many kinds of radar in a single data processing system. The performance of the data integrating system was analyzed by applying queueing theory. A radar data integrating network was designed for synchronous relational operations among the information processing systems and the transmission characteristics were also analysed by specific models for each system. The designed data integrating systems can be divided into a simplex type and a distributed multiplex type.

  • Historically, IP-based internets have been able to provide a simple best-effort delivery service to all applications they carry. Best effort treats all packets equally, with no service level, packet loss, and delay. The best-effort style has generally worked fine. But the needs of users have changed. The want to use the new real-time, multimedia, and multicasting applications. Thus, there is a strong need to be able to support a variety of traffic with a variety of quality-of-service requirements, within the TCP/IP architecture. This paper propose a framework that offers QoS in a DS domain using dynamic node setting method.

  • In this paper various aspects of statistical maltiplexing of data signs have been investigated. A queueing model with finite waiting room and batch poisson arrivals is studied assuming that data signals are transmitted at a constant rate. Using traffic intensity and average burst length as parameters, overflow probabilities and expected queueing delay due to buffering are obtained. Also, a real system model of a statistical multiplexer that can be directly used in micro-programmed hardware realization is proposed. To examine the performance of the system, computer simulation has been done at various conditions. The results obtained can be used in designing a buffer efficiently.

  • In this paper, it is proposed that the design of the PID controller with the internal model control structure for improved performance. Internal model was identification that is second-order plus dead time structure using final-value theorem and genetic algorithm The parameters of Controller are determined to minimize IAE(Integral of the Absolute value of the Error) and ITAE(Integral of the Time multiplied by the Absolute value of the Error) of performance index by internal model and numerical method. Simulation examples are given to show the better performance of the proposed method than conventional methods.

  • This paper proposes an adequate UWA (Underwater Acoustic) communication system of underwater communication network in the Yellow Sea. UWA channel is obtained from Bellhop ray tracing method with Yellow Sea environments. Based on this channel, communication parameters for CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and SC-FDM (Single Carrier-Frequency Division Multiplexing) using diversity techniques are calculated. In order to prove the proposed methods, BER (Bit Error Rate) and data rate are obtained using computer simulations and the adequate communication system for long rms delay spread and low Eb/No environments is proposed from the simulation.

  • In this paper, we addressed the problem of upstream bandwidth in EPONs. We presented a wavelength division EPON supporting QoS in the differentiated services framework. It was shown that the bandwidth allocation by priority scheduling, under our assumptions for traffic behavior, will result in an unexpected behavior for high priority class and we suggested the use of weighted priority scheduling to alleviate this problem. Our wavelength division EPON supporting QoS allocates effectively and fairly bandwidths and wavelengths between ONUs in the differentiated services framework. Moreover, we showed better performance in terms of average and maximum end-to-end delay, as well as network throughput, utilization compared with some other algorithms. We used simulation experiments to study the performance and validate the effectiveness of the proposed network and algorithm.

  • This paper presents the extraction scheme of the scattered waves by a target above the ground using the buried antenna in a lossy and dispersive medium. The half wave dipole antennas are used to transmit and to receive a signal. The transmission line model as a feeding model is considered to take into account the effect of transmission line in a real system. The ground is modeled by the 2nd order Debye approximation with the dispersion and loss. PLRC algorithm and DPML as absorbing boundary condition are utilized to apply the 2nd order Debye approximation to FDTD. To extract the scattered wave, in addition, we employed the delay time extraction algorithm. The simulations are conducted to observe the variation of magnitude in scattered wave and detection of target position according to the change of moisture content of the lossy medium.

  • In this paper the model was analyzed on performance evaluation for IN facility and we carried out evaluation on it's service performance using this model as an example. We used simulation method and operation analysis method as evaluation technology. As the evaluation results, the case of simulation method was nearly consistent with the case of the operation analysis method and the user-network interaction time had more effect on service performance than delay time of IN facility. We expects that the performance models proposed in this paper is useful when operating, managing and designing IN services in considering service performance.

  • In the distributed multimedia application, high throughput and low delay is one of the most important QoS(Quality of Service) requirement. Emerging high speed communication offers transmission rate above Gbps, but it can not be utilized efficiently by the performance bottlenecks of communication protocols. To overcom the problem, we propose a horizontal processing architecture that processes data as soon as it arrive from the network. Unfortunately, the OSI protocol stack often imposes ordering constraints that prevent concurrent processing of the protocol layers. By using a fixed packet format, the network layer through the presentation layer are processed in parallel. Our prototype shows that the proposed model has performance improvement up to 61% more advantage than the conventional approach.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel shadow clustering mechanism including a mobility estimation algorithm based on Gauss-Markov mobility model which analyses patterns of moving direction and speed of a mobile terminal respectively and a selection algorithm of the most suitable network for the requirements of mobile terminals. The proposed mechanism makes much less shadow cluster area than that of the legacy methods, and reduces unnecessary resource reservation. It is compared the proposed algorithm with traditional methods under various scenarios.
