Fourth, character components to be taught in character education program are consideration, manners, self-control, and responsibility. Fifth, the teaching and learning methods for character education were ranked in order of reflection, mutual learning, experiential activities, and student centering. Sixth, the proper period of the character education program should be continuous throughout school life with consent for continuous and repetitive education. Based on this, it is suggested that it is more important to consider how to organize character education for guidance throughout life and for curriculum than to develop it as one time program.

In addition, as a result of analyzing the text of the three textbooks' housing areas, it was found that most of them were described as adapting to and coping with the current culture, and few problems or social issues were mentioned that could lead to critical literacy. Second, the housing area curriculum for critical literacy learning was developed, with a total of 13 plan of 7 modules including continuous interests, valued ends, learning contents, and 26 learning materials including reading materials, and video materials. As following the analysis of each textbook volume of the proportion in the contents related to safety education, 224.9 pages are on the first volume and 111.9 pages are on the second volume. As grades increase from year one to year three, the proportion of safety education in home economics textbooks is decreased. The highest number of safety education contents unit is 'Self-management of youth' which includes three parts of safety education.
