A Study on Construction and Implementation of Web education System with Chinese conversion rule set (중국어 규칙변환 웹 교육시스템 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • When Chinese character used in Korea, so did the characters' pronunciation, so many Korean Chinese characters today have similar pronunciation with Chinese, but since Korean and Chinese pronunciations were preserved and developed in different alphabets, the written letter of the pronunciation also differs. This study on Chinese education, has constructed and implemented an easy way to study Chinese pronunciations by creating conversion rule set between Chinese pronunciation, Chinese Hanyu latin Pinyin and Korean chinese character pronunciation consisting of an initial sound, a medial vowel, and a final consonant. This study has established web version and application version of this conversion rule set education system to enhance Chinese education.

  • This study aims to examine how the Chinese popular culture, especially music, can contribute to diversification of the ancillary materials for teaching Chinese language, literature and culture, based on the analysis of some songs of Jay Chou. For this purpose, this study analysed 10 songs that have been used in the tests or the text contents in China or Taiwan in terms of rhyme, words relation to the ancient poems, and the Chinese culture. Consequently, the songs of Jay Chou show that they can be used as an ancillary material in the Chinese class from the linguistic, literary, and cultural angles. For use in the Chinese language, literature, culture class in the future, there is a constant need to discover and analyse new materials from the Chinese popular culture.

  • The main purpose of this study is to reveal the educational value of the Chinese drama and present a concrete and feasible Chinese speaking teaching-learning programme targeted at intermediate level Chinese learners through storytelling and role-play. There is some advice for Chinese speaking teaching-learning by using Chinese dramas. Firstly, applying various techniques actively such as storytelling and role play, not only could it help to correct Chinese speaking pronunciation, but it could also help students to make up and express their ideas as free as possible. Secondly, it's necessary to accord with the teaching objectives of Chinese speaking, students' actual level and requirements to select Chinese dramas as Chinese speaking teaching-learning materials. Thirdly, it's noteworthy that teachers should select Chinese dramas with various genres or theme according to social development to promote the fun of class and maximize the educational value of Chinese dramas as teaching-learning materials.

Characteristics and Potential on YouTube's Chinese Language Education Channel Contents (유튜브 중국어 교육 채널 콘텐츠에서 나타나는 특징과 발전 가능성)

  • This study divided video content of current representative YouTube channels on Chinese language education into internal and external elements for analysis. By examining these channels, this study found that they have various external and internal elements. In addition, YouTube classes also have certain distinct characteristics that are non-existent in traditional classroom or face-to-face classes, and show potential to serve as a new educational medium that can fill the gaps in existing classroom classes. However, a large number of these channels still have problems with their internal and external elements, which seem to require not only the effort and attention of the instructors creating the videos, but also considerable time and human and material resources.

  • Recently Chinese education market and social interest has been extended. Accordingly, smart learning based on smartphone applications became part of new educational paradigm. Also, there are more active research and development of applications for the Chinese language education. In this paper, we designed and implemented the smartphone functional application prototype for learning basic Chinese characters. Expression of Chinese characters, the comparison, listening in pronunciation, voice recording and listening, related content learning, and implement testing presented using casual user interface. In the future study, we will develop the prototype with user interface for learning Chinese conversation and individual index of evaluation can be effective learning Instrument without additional tools.

한국 공자학원 중국어 교육 현황과 특징에 대한 소고 - C대학교 공자학원의 사례를 중심으로

  • 世界第一所孔子学院于2004年成立于韩国首尔. 孔子学院的主要活动是开展汉语教学, 承办各类中国文化及学术活动等. 截至2018年12月, 韩国国内共有23所孔子学院在全国各地发挥作用. 在过去的13年里, 中国国内对孔子学院的研究较为广泛. 近几年韩国出现了一些对孔院的发展历程, 运营模式的研究. 但是, 对孔子学院汉语教学领域的研究尚无令人瞩目的成果. 忠南大学孔子学院自2007年成立以来, 孔院自身的汉语教学规模逐渐扩大, 教学体系较为稳定. 本文通过对忠南大学孔子学院的汉语教学情况, 教师情况, 教学管理体系, 学员问卷调查结果等方面的介绍, 对孔子学院自身的汉语教育现状进行更为深入地分析, 以此来帮助在韩国国内学习汉语的学生们了解孔子学院, 并在孔子学院的优质教育环境中积极主动地学习汉语, 正确地理解中国和文化.

A Study on Chinese Teacher's Perceptions of Professional Competence for Teaching Foreigners Chinese in China (중국어 교사로서의 역량에 관한 중국어 교사의 인식)

  • This study aims to figure out what kind of competences Chinese teachers need when teaching foreigners Chinese and if there is a difference between the importance degree they cognise and the practical level they keep, which could help to indicate improving directions of teachers' cultivation and training. To achieve this purpose, we chose 56 in-service Chinese teachers in Q City, Shandong Province, China as the subject of investigation. As results of this study, about the importance degree of competences of teaching foreigners Chinese, the average score is pretty high, which could assure the competences Chinese teachers need, but as for practical level, the average score is relatively low, which could help to assure the improving directions. In conclusion, competences of teaching foreigners can be divided into knowledge, skill and attitude. To improve the practical level of Chinese teachers, it's necessary to attach more importance to Chinese culture, methods of language education, cross-cultural adaptation, research on teaching and so on in Chinese teachers' cultivation and training programs.

  • As ubiquitous computing is evolving, RFID/USN technology is largely applied to various fields. Although there has been much research on the improvement of educational environment using RFID/USN technology, there has been little research on the learning improvement using it. So, in this paper, we used RFID/USN technology to find out the location and situation of students for Chinese situation learning system. We developed a mobile RFID middleware for Chinese situation learning system reflecting Chinese characteristics compared with English on PDA. In USN environment, we designed a USN system, which gets the situation information through a sensor network with sensors and sends them for helping learners study in situation learning. We took a pilot test to a small group for the analysis of the system.

A Study of the Speaking-Centered Chinese Pronunciation Teaching Method for Basic Chinese Learners. (초급 중국어 학습자를 위한 발음교육 개선방안 - 말하기 중심 발음 교수법 -)

  • In Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, phoneme-based pronunciation teaching such as tone, consonants, vowels is the most common teaching methods. Based on main character of Chinese grammar: 'lack of morphological change' in a narrow sense, was proposed by Lv Shuxiang and Zhu Dexi, I designed 'Communicative oriented Chinese pronunciation teaching method'. This teaching method is composed of seven elements: one kind is the 'structural elements': phoneme, word, phrase, sentence; another kind is the 'functional elements': listening, speaking and translation. This pronunciation teaching method has four kinds of practice methods: 1) phoneme learning method; 2) word based pronunciation practice; 3) phrase based pronunciation practice; 4) sentence based pronunciation practice. When the teachers use these practice methods, they can use the dialogue and Korean-Chinese translation. In particular, when the teachers use 'phoneme learning method', they must use Korean and Chinese phonetic comparison results. When the teachers try to correct learner's errors, they must first consider the speech communication.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the comparation Korean "-e(에), -eseo(에서)" with the Chinese "zai(在)," analyze the errors of using "-e(에), -eseo(에서)," and suggest the direction of teaching required for Chinese learners to reduce these errors. Referring to mean place, "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)" generally correspond to "zai(在)" in Chinese, but "zai(在)" in Chinese does not completely correspond to "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)" with the meaning of position or place. Chinese learners are often misunderstood when they use "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)."
