  • 현재 GUI 인터페이스와 컴퓨터 기술의 발전으로 다양한 형태의 그래픽 모델링 도구들과 시각 프로그래밍 시스템들이 사용되고 있다. 이러한 시스템들을 개발하기 위해서는 사용자가 그래픽 요소들의 형태와 그래픽 요소들간의 연결 관계를 개발자가 직접 프로그램을 이용해서 작성하여야 하기 때문에 많은 시간과 노력을 필요로 한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 그래픽 요소의 형태와 그래픽 요소들간의 연결성을 직접 조작 방식을 이용해서 기술할 수 있는 토큰 편집기인 TEdi(Token Editor)와 시각 프로그래밍의 기본적인 기능을 지원할 수 있는 AVE(Abstract Visual Editor)를 소개한다. TEdi는 그래픽 요소들을 정의하기 위해서 사용되며, 토큰 단위의 각 그래픽 요소는 다른 그래픽 요소와 연결되기 위해서 연결자를 사용한다. 연결자는 그래픽 편집기에서 연결될 수 있는 그래픽 요소를 제한함으로써 시각 프로그래밍 혹은 모델링에서 구문 오류를 줄여줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제공하는 시스템을 사용하는 경우에 사용자는 보다 쉽게 그래픽 요소와 시각 프로그래밍 혹은 모델링 도구를 작성할 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the National Trust Approach for the Environmental-friendly Conservation and Management of Greenbelts in Korea (개발제한구역의 친환경적 보전 및 관리를 위한 내셔널트러스트의 도입방안 연구)

  • This article aims to conserve greenbelts by adopting the national trust approach. This article reviews the current issues and problems in managing greenbelts in Korea. And this article redefines the function of greenbelts, and then suggests the new principles of management strategies of greenbelts. Greenbelts is to provide green open space for urban residents and to contain urban sprawl not to reserve lands for the future urban development. This article proposes basic principles for the effective management of green belts. They include (1) preserving environmental value, (2) maximizing public access to open space and environment resources, and (3) enhancing public-participation and collaboration among different groups and organizations for the management of greenbelts. These principles are closely related to those of national trust movement. This article suggests the government to adopt national trust approach (organization, funding, site selection criteria, legislation) to improve the environmental-friendly conservation and management of greenbelts in Korea.

  • 게임 산업에서 Vista 출시가 의미하는 보안 환경의 변화와 위험요소에 대해 설명을 하고 어떤 위험이 존재하고 있는지 인지하는 것이 필요하다. 현재의 게임 산업이 처한 보안상의 위험요소들을 먼저 확인을 하며 Vista로 인해 달라지는 보안상의 위험요소에 대해 명시하도록 한다. Vista에서 강화된 보안기능으로는 ActiveX의 실행제한과 UAC(User Access Control) 기능을 들 수 있는데 온라인 게임에 미치는 영향과 보안상의 이슈에 대해서 관계를 확인하여 보고 향후 방향에 대해 조망한다.

  • This paper summarizes the differences and characteristics between virtual worlds and virtual reality, and advances research on immersive elements for improving the reality of virtual worlds. The immersive elements are broadly studied by separating the sensory immersive elements and the technical immersive elements, focusing on the sensory organs of sight, perception, touch, and hearing, and investigating the correlation between these elements to improve the immersive feeling in content design. A Study of Posted Speeds on Freeway Exits and Entrances (고속도로 진출구 제한속도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of posted speeds is to provide a speed that ensures the safety of vehicle flow according to given road situations. Because of this, posted speeds must be carefully examined, and posted speeds at freeway exits and entrances in particular should consider car characteristics. Posted speeds at freeway exits and entrances must take changing speeds due to curve radiuses into consideration and in this study, an 85th percentile speed becomes the most important element to consider. When it is considered that most traffic accidents occur because of variations in speed between cars, posted speeds should be set after considering car traveling characteristics. Within these dimensions, instead of putting significance on an upper direction regulation or lower direction regulation, speed distributions which fit to the characteristics of each road should be fully considered. Accordingly, this study evaluated appropriate posted speeds that will reduce the dangers of traffic accidents through posted speed regulations of roads now in operation by offering a posted speed setting method theory, using entries at Yangji, Yongin, and Cheongwon interchanges as subjects.

Minimum Weight Design of the Boom of an Ecavator (굴삭기 붐의 최적 설계)

  • Minimum weight design of the boom of an excavator with stress and displacement constraints was performed. The procedure of analysis consists of the following steps. The finite element model of the boom was built up by using 227 triangular plate elements each of which has three nodes. And then the finite element program was implemented and its accuracy was verified by comparing its results with those of the commercial structural analysis package-ANSYS 4.4A. For the constraints of stresses and displacements, the design sensitivities of those were computed using direct differentiation method. To verify the reliability of them the results were compared with those of the finite difference method. The optimum design value was obtained by using PLBA(Pshenichny-Lim-Belegundu-Arora)non-linear optimization program which adopts the active set strategy. Using the above results, minimum weight design of an excavator boom showed an effect of 27% reduction in weight.

  • The mobility is one of the most important factor for mobile IPTV. However, mobility is highly vulnerable to eavesdropping and unauthorized access. Generally mobility of mobile services is based on handover techniques. But we showed that mobile IPTV must use other techniques to confirm mobility. In this paper, we analyzed security of wibro mobile IPTV from the viewpoint of mobility. We considered DCAS host must include new addresses of mobile devices. We analyzed total number of authentication for the proposed method. So we showed that proposed method was more efficient than wibro-mobile IPTV. We compared the security of our proposal to the security requirements of TTA.

Comparisons of the Assessment of Ecological Landscape Design and the Apartment Skylines (생태학적 조경설계 평가와 아파트 스카이라인의 비교)

  • 본 연구는 건축고도제한에 의해 생태학적 조경설계는 어떻게 통제되며, 또한 생태학적 조경 설계가 무엇인가를 구명하는 것이다. 따라서 두 가지 다른 단지를 비교하여 건축물 스카이라인이 주변경관과 조화로운 심미적 설계를 가능하게 하는 영향에 관하여 고찰할 수 있다. 이 비교를 통하여 스카이라인 통제가 아파트단지 계획과 설계에서 생태학적 조경설계에 영향을 주는가를 검증하게 될 것이며, 스카이라인이 통제된 아파트단지가 조경시설 설계에 있어서 전체적, 역동적, 반응적, 직관적 접근을 할 때 상대적으로 우선성을 표출할 수 있을 것이다. 아파트단지 계획·설계에 있어 건물고도제한이 적절하게 검토되어 스카이라인의 통제를 더 강하게 할수록 아파트단지에서 만들어진 조경환경의 특성이 강조되고 강화한 경관이 더 조화롭게 된다는 점에서 경관에 유용하고 편익이 있다. 생태학적 조경설계의 평가사항은 자기 지속적, 자연적·문화적 정체성, 개연적 외관, 생태학적 접근으로 이뤄진다는 전제 아래 세부사항 18개 항목을 표출하였다. 또한 스카이라인 통제는 자연적 경관을 보전하고 수목이 단지의 안팎으로 자연스럽게 펼쳐지는 녹지 네트워크와 야생 동물 코리도를 획득하기 위하여 독특한 경관을 설계하고 개성적인 것으로 도출하여 조화로운 심미성을 이룩하는데 유용하다는 것을 계량적으로 표출하였다. 아파트단지의 경관에서 의미 있는 것은 다양한 접근으로 설계되고 건물 스카이라인 통제방법을 강화함으로써 관리되는 스카이라인의 실루엣이 다양하고 개성적 형태를 표출한다는 것을 보여준다. 결과적으로 스카이라인의 영향과 생태학적 조경설계가 계량적 요소에 의해 상대적으로 비교될 수 있으며, 생태학적 조경설계의 평가시설지표는 보다 세분화됨으로써 전체적인 설계요소의 강도에 영향을 줄 수 있다.

Influences of Tourism on the Subjective Well-Being (관광참여가 주관적 안녕감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study are two folds: (a) to identify the influences of tourism on subjective well-being, and (b) to understand the roles of travel motivation, constraint and personal value in subjective well-being. A polling agency was employed to select 500 respondents by quota sampling, and data was collected by online survey. ANOVA and regression results showed that tourism participants, compared to the non-participants, have a tendency to select tourism as a mean to enhance their subjective well-being because they are more self-motivated people. Their high motivation to take a trip lead to set up their feasible goals to achieve by the tourism experience and their relatively few constraints help them to have trip easily. The people's satisfaction in tourism contributes to the satisfaction in his/her leisure life, which in turn contributes to his/her subjective well-being. It is also revealed that tourism participation and subjective income level are significant variables affecting subjective well-being, which explain 21.1 percent of the variance. The research suggests various managerial implications to reduce constraints and several ideas for future researches.

Analysis on Current Limiting and Recovery Characteristics of a SFCL using a Trigger of Superconducting Element (초전도소자의 트리거를 이용한 초전도 전류제한기의 전류제한 및 회복특성 분석)

  • As one of the countermeasures to improve the recovery characteristics of the SFCL (superconducting fault current limiter), the method using the trigger of high-TC superconducting element (HTSC) when the quench in the HTSC element occurred was proposed. To confirm the suggested method, the control circuit to detect the quench occurrence of HTSC element in case of the fault occurrence was designed and the current limiting and recovery experiments of the SFCL using the designed control circuit were performed. Through the analysis for the experimental results, the points of both the open time and the closing time of a power switch comprising the control circuit could be adjusted by the resistance amplitude of a normal conducting current limiting resistor (CLR) and the recovery characteristics of the SFCL together with the current limiting operation could be confirmed to be improved by using the control circuit.
