  • The purpose of this paper is firstly to research the Capstone Design Learning Model which helps the students to acquire practical industrial skills and knowledge in real business fields, and secondly to analyze the qualitative effectiveness of this model in respect of knowledge, skill and attitude which NCS(National Competence Standards) suggest in industrial design field. In order to study, the second-year students taking the class 'Communication and Design Project(CDP)' of Industrial Design Major of DIT, took part in the Capstone Design Project and proceeded a project 'Character design of the entertainer Robert Holley' in cooperation with a relevant company and the professor in charge of this project. Through this research, it appeared that Capstone design related to visual design tasks improved the technical skills and competence of the students majoring in design. In other words, through analyzing questionnaire survey based on NCS, evaluation from relevant company, and awarding a prize of the design contest, we conclude that this instruction design and action plans have significant meanings to promote the students on-the-job competence.

  • This study is a phenomenological study that aimed to understand the meaning of nursing students' experience of class using flipped learning method. The participants are 8 senior nursing students. The data collected by individual in-depth interviews and analyzed by Colaizzi's method. As a result of this study, 35 key themes and 11 clusters of themes were derived. The 11 thematic categories are classified in pre-education, in-classroom, and post-education. At the pre-education, the theme clusters are 'lack of information', 'psychological burden', 'different teaching methods', 'improvement of self-directed learning ability', and 'different learner's achievement'. At the in-class, the theme clusters are 'efficient teaching direction' and 'confidence improvement'. At the post-education stage, the theme clusters are 'positive influence on class', 'strengthening self-pay', 'not preferred', and 'lecture preference'. Therefore, a more diversified and in-depth repetitive study is suggested in order to apply the flipped learning method to the nursing major.

  • To survive in the highly competitive environment, a vocational education institution must offer its students an attractive system of competency based vocational education. A first-term freshman at university and college should also be allowed to adjust the course selection Early exposure within one or more fields of study creates a high level of enthusiasm which helps students maintain their motivation. It also helps students decide if course selection is right for career choice and they should be provided a large number of diverse occupational opportunities later In this paper, we discuss how to activate the vocational education. Also we developed vocational guidance program for course selection through the subject for vocational guidance and the learning map for learning plan. • Online education in the field of LIS has continued to spread out in university curricula or with collaborative online programs through consortia among universities. Unlike the traditional online education, however, MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) with the recent advent and advances have risen as a new paradigm in education of the future in that these are massive online learner-centered courses, free and open to any person with no limit on enrollment. With no exception to this phenomenon, the LIS field centered by overseas iSchool universities has been offering MOOCs for core LIS courses. This research conducted a case study of utilizing a part of overseas LIS MOOCs in a core LIS course at domestic University-A, in order to explore the potential for utilizing overseas MOOCs in LIS education. The results of conducting a survey and a focus group interview to students discovered that MOOCs content was interesting and useful and many of them were willing to take other MOOCs in the future, despite some language barriers. Based on these findings, this study suggested the need for establishing educational value, administering methods, ways to motivate students, and designing MOOCs by incorporating the characteristics of the LIS field, as ways to utilize MOOCs in LIS education.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the personal experience of Instructor during National Competence Standards (NCS) Curriculum at Department of Library and Information Science. We conducted in depth interview (FGI) with participants who had recently experienced and data analysis was undertaken. We hope this study that an application of NCS would be activated fully in Library, educational institutes and qualifying examination institutes and that diverse feedbacks from related parties would makes leading to a better updated version of NCS development. As a result, First, The instructor had generally familiar with the background and purpose of the NCS. and they issued the inadequacies of job elements, non-reflection of the opinion on field education, the problems of classification of NCS. second, In the experience of NCS curriculum operating, There were the paperwork burden, Problems of methods of evaluation, evaluation period discrimination, the need to well communication with students. Third, In the problems on the NCS Curriculum operating, we found that there were The need on the proper Class size/hour, additional education, re-evaluation, Support system for NCS Curriculum operation, tools for practice, discrimination between relative evaluation and NCS evaluation, Enhancement for Competence/Standards. Fourth, On The ways of improving for NCS curriculum, We found that There were Class size, Support tools for practice, The improvement Competence/elements/standards based on LIS characteristic. The result of this study may contribute for improving the overall environment Based upon FGI analysis, several new directions for NCS education in the filed LIS curriculum are suggested.

  • This study conducted a survey of 117 music therapy graduate students from four schools in their second through fifth semester who have sufficient clinical training experience to form a basis for satisfactory clinical training. The result shows that the respondents reported their highest satisfaction levels with their course and curriculum (3.78), followed by supervision (3.75) and clinical training (3.65). In general, students who did not major music as undergraduates showed higher satisfaction levels. The satisfaction level of students in the earlier stages of clinical training is generally high. However, it gradually decreases as they move to more advanced stages, and increases somewhat during the internship training period. The supervisor's role was a decisive factor in reported levels of satisfaction with supervision and clinical training, and the music therapy element was a decisive factor on the course and curriculum satisfaction level, This survey is meaningful as it paves the way for the development of more satisfactory clinical training, and offers important guidelines to students in terms of the kinds of talents and characteristics they should develop.
