A Study on University Freshmen's Academic Emotions for Untact General English Class: Focused on Pre-recorded Lecture vs. Real Time Online Class (비대면 교양 영어 수업에 대한 대학 신입생들의 학습 감정 연구: 녹화 강의와 실시간 화상수업을 중심으로)

  • This study explored the academic emotions of university freshmen depending on the type of online class(pre-recorded lecture vs. real time online class) that they took during the COVID-19 lockdown. 170 freshmen participated in the survey based on the 'Academic Emotion Questionnaire(AEQ)', and the statistical results are as follows; Firstly, research showed that the participants felt higher positive emotions for pre-recorded lecture than for real time online class, and higher negative emotions for real time online class than for pre-recorded lecture(p < .01). Secondly, participants felt different emotions depending on English level(p < .01). Thirdly, participants felt different emotions depending on their majors(p < .01). Students majoring in science & engineering felt higher positive emotions than those in humanities & social studies in pre-recorded lecture class. Fourthly, participants felt different emotions depending on gender(p < .01). Female students felt higher negative emotions than male students. Finally, the pedagogical implications and suggestions were discussed.

Effects of Action Learning Approach on Learning Motivation and Problem-solving Capacity in NCS Vocational Competency Class of Polytechnic College (폴리텍대학 NCS 직업기초능력 수업에서 액션러닝방식이 학습자의 학습동기와 문제해결력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed effects of Action Learning approach on enhancing learning motivation and improving problem-solving capacity in NCS vocational competency classes of Polytechnic College. Targeted group is B Polytechnic College located in Chungnam, and 53 students in experimental group and 64 students in control group. analysis of data is descriptive statistic analysis and the multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) method to study sub factors of learning motivation and problem-solving ability. As a result, Action Learning approach has a great influence on connection, confidence, and satisfaction, among the sub factors of learning motivation. also figured that the approach has positive effects on problem clarifying, cause analysis, alternative developing, planning/practicing, and performance assessment, among the sub factors of problem-solving capacity. Moreover, Polytechnic College's NCS vocational competency classes are desirably required to adopt the approach of Action Learning for their educational method, as it fosters basic competencies, such as understanding of diverse perspectives, communicating, leadership, interpersonal relationship, self-development, coping with conflicts, operating meetings, to be learned while students are doing problem-solving activities under a team-working atmosphere.

Examining Pedagogical Reasoning of Beginning Science Teachers in a Professional Learning Community (교사학습공동체 초임과학교사의 교수학적 추론 탐색)

  • This study aims to explore characteristics of pedagogical reasoning and action of beginning science teachers that naturally and spontaneously occurs in a professional learning community. Three novice middle school science teachers who majored chemistry education in A college of education, passed the examination for selecting secondary school chemistry teachers, and had a common goal of designing 8th grade science lesson plan voluntarily created a professional learning community and had weekly meetings over a year. Main data sources included transcribed audio-recording of 11 meetings of three science teachers in a professional learning community. Data was analyzed using Shulman's pedagogical reasoning model that includes comprehension, transformation, instruction, evaluation, reflection, and new comprehension to identify characteristics and features of pedagogical reasoning in a professional learning community. Data analysis revealed that pedagogical reasoning in a professional learning community comprises not only preparation, representations, instructional selections, and adaptation but also evaluation, reflection, and new comprehension in transformation stage. Reflection in transformation stage leads teachers to be actively engaged in discussion and get new comprehension on each sub-component(preparation, representations, instructional selections, adaptation, and evaluation) of transformation stage.

주제탐구 중심의 수학영재 캠프 - 초등학교 중심 -

  • 영재교육이 우리나라의 미래를 좌우한다는 생각은 이제 매우 설득력을 얻고 있지만 구체적인 학습자료와 이론이 여전히 부족한 상태이다(1999,김주봉). 수학 캠프의 활동에 관한 교육 프로그램은 더욱더 찾아보기 힘들다. 대구광역시 동부교육청 시범영재학급에서는 03년 1월 9일부터 11일까지 2박3일간 동부 계명대학교 자연과학부 백은관에서 영재캠프를 개최하였다. 이번 캠프는 주제탐구중심의 캠프로서 협동심과 창의력중심으로 전국 최초로 이루어졌고, 4학년 22명, 5학년 21명, 6학년 24명 총 67명과 담당장학사1명, 진행도우미 8명, 운영교수진 8명, 체험학습 강사10명 총94명이 참가하였다. 프로그램은 영재교육의 전문가인 교수와 초 중등 현직교사들에 의하여 운영되었고, 프로그램 계획 수립 및 진행총괄은 담당장학사와 본 연구자가 진행하였다. 학생들의 수준의 차이가 적지 않는 데다가 본 연구자는 4개월 동안 캠프를 준비하여 학생들로부터 캠프에 대한 소감을 통하여 결과가 긍정적인 내용이 많아서 매우 성공적인 캠프가 이루어 졌다고 생각한다. 본 고에서는 캠프일정과 운영. 교육프로그램, 주제탐구물 결과에 대하여 살펴볼 것이다.

  • 좁은 취업의 문을 뚫기 위해서는 경력자만큼의 실무능력을 갖춘 인재양성이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 제주 물산업 전문가 양성을 위한 에듀워터 프로젝트 교과과정을 제안한다. 에듀워터 교과과정은 비전문가인 학생들이 프로젝트를 진행하면서 자연스럽게 학습 목표에 도달할 수 있도록 진행 단계 및 각 단계별 요구 사항 등을 체계적으로 제시한다. 이 프로젝트식 교수-학습법을 적용한 교과과정을 통해 학생들은 실무현장에서 요구하는 물산업에 대한 전문지식, 문서 작성 능력, 발표 능력, 리더쉽 등을 종합적으로 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 보건기관이 효율적으로 고혈압 관리 대상자를 탐색하고, 고혈압 관련 요인에 대한 지식을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있도록 하는 고혈압 고위험군 추정 모형 및 우선 사업 대상자 탐색 모형을 제안한다. 특히, 대용량 데이터 처리 및 실시간 시스템 운영, 외부 환경 변화를 고려한 자동 학습과 같은 현실적인 제약 조건을 해결하는 모형을 개발하는 것을 주 목표로 한다. 지역 보건소에서 수집된 의료 데이터를 이용하여 최적의 파라미터 값을 설정한 고혈압 고위험군 탐색 모형을 도출하였으며, 모형의 검증을 위하여 고혈압 환자정보로 구성된 평가용 데이터를 사용하여 고혈압 자연 발병률 대비 약 2배 수준으로 향상된 고혈압 환자 예측 정확도가 얻어지는 것을 확인하였다. 시스템 운영과 유비보수 측면에서 현실적으로 중요한 문제인 대용량 데이터 처리 및 외부 환경 변화에 강인한 자동학습 이슈를 해결하기 위한 방안에 대해서도 설명하였다.

The Effects of Jigsaw Cooperative Learning on the Pre-service Teachers' Task Commitment and Creative Personality (초등예비교사의 Jigsaw 협동학습 수업이 과제집착력 및 창의적 인성에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of jigsaw cooperative learning class of elementary pre-service teacher on task commitment and creative personality. This study established an twelve-week period of experimental treatment from september to november 2019, and the students who participated in the study formed a research group of 121 students in 2nd grade of their advanced classes who are attending the second semester of b university of education and taking courses in 'teaching research 2'. B university of education is singleness class that doesn't have compare group, so this study is constituted only study group. Applying based-jigsaw cooperative learning class to study group, before and after concept of task commitment test and creative personality test is performed. The results of the study were as follows. First, the study group applied jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class had statistically significant differences in task commitment (p<.05). Second, the study group applied jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class had statistically significant differences in creative personality efficacy(p<.05). Third, jigsaw cooperative learning-based science class of pre-service teachers have a very good feeling. Through such study results, the study could figure out that the class applying jigsaw cooperative learningbased science class has positive effect on concept of task commitment and creative personality efficacy.

The Effect of Team-based Learning Activity on College Students' Character Education (팀 기반 학습활동이 대학생의 인성교육에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a solution through a methodological approach so that character education can be naturally acquired in team-based learning activities. In the spring semester of 2021, a total of 69 college students in two groups were studied, and as a result of the study, the total score of character education virtues in the post-test was greatly improved in the experimental group (p<.001). The correlation between sub-items of team-based learning and pre and post-test results for character sub-items, self-regulation, consideration, communication, self-esteem, and responsibility, were statistically significant. This study shows character education through team-based learning had positive results. However, future research through a wider range of subjects is needed, and various teaching methods are being applied to propose verification of the effectiveness of character education.

Analysis of Undergraduate Students' Perception of the Concept of System as Integrated Theme (통합 주제로서의 시스템 개념에 대한 대학생들의 인식 분석)

  • The goal of the study was to examine undergraduate students' perception of the importance of the concept of system in science. The participants are six undergraduate students in the department of science education. Data sources included interviews and interview notes. Results showed that students understood the concept of system as a group of objects, space, and boundaries, which differed from a previous research study about its details. The students also were able to explain the concept of system related with the process of problem solving. The students recognized as well the selection of system for analysis of natural phenomenon, explaining that the selection of system was determined by purpose of the observer. Lastly, the students explained that the concept of system was useful for science learning because it was strongly related with other science concepts, understanding of interactions, and learner's cognitive development.

Analysis on the development of integrated teaching-learning materials of the mathematics and other subjects (수학교과의 통합 교수-학습자료 개발 현황 분석)

  • Mathematics has kept the relationships with other studies constantly. However, there is not many researches about the integrated teaching-learning materials for mathematics. In this paper, we review the integrated learning theories and domestic research trends of the integrated learning for the mathematics. Through the literature review, we survey the integrated teaching-learning materials, which integrate the mathematics and other subjects for the secondary school. As a result, it can be seen that integrated teaching-learning materials of mathematics and science, social studies, arts, physical education, and korean literature have recently been developed to help raise awareness of the usefulness of mathematics. Further study on the revision and supplementation of these materials should be carried out based on this paper.
