Data were collected a self reported structured questionnaire was administerd in convenience sample of 240 dental hygiene students and the final 208 participants participate. The survey included demographic factors, Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale, resilience scale of CD-RISC, occupational self-efficacy scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient. There were positive correlation both occupational self-efficacy, resilience toward self-esteem. Resilience was correlated positively with occupational self-efficacy. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a dental hygienist curriculum and a comparative course program to improve self-esteem, major satisfaction and resilience in order to improve dental hygiene and student's occupational self-efficacy.

In this study, Problem-Based Learning lesson plan was developed and applied to 32 freshmen of high school as an experimental group. Lecture-style lesson was applied to the other 32 students as a control group. Significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores of self-efficacy were found in the experimental group. Post-test scores of self-efficacy were higher than pre-test scores in the experimental group. There were no significant differences between pre-test and Post-test scores of self-efficacy in the control group. The subjective evaluation from students in the experimental group indicated that Problem-Based Learning lesson was effective in helping them to take an active Part in class and increasing interests in Home Economics.

  • This paper reports a descriptive correlation among ego-resilience, self-efficacy, and professional self-concept of nurses, and shows that there is a decrease of turnover intension in early stage nurses. The Data collection was conducted from June 1 to July 7, 2015. A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted on 145 nurses working in one of three general hospitals. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson's correlation coefficients, using SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The mean values were as follows: ego-resilience, 3.13 (${\pm}0.46$); self-efficacy, 3.64 (${\pm}0.64$); and professional self-concept of nurse, 2.95 (${\pm}0.50$). Among the factors related to the general characteristics of early stage nurses, marital status significantly affected ego-resilience, and total career significantly affected professional self-concept. There was a positive correlation between ego-resilience and professional self-concept in nurses (r=.305, p<.001). There was a positive correlation between self-efficacy and professional self-concept in nurses (r=.279, p=.001). It is necessary to develop a program to enhance early stage nurses' ego-resilience, self-efficacy, and professional self-concept.

  • This study is a descriptive investigation study attempted to identify the factors influencing the self-regulated learning ability of the 4th grade students of the Department of Nursing who are preparing for the national nurse exam. Data were collected for two weeks from mid-November 2021 and 107 survey results were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. As a result, ego-resilience (r=.376, p<.001), self-efficacy (r=.590, p<.001), self-esteem (r=.495, p<.001) was found to have a positive correlation with self-regulated learning ability, respectively. • This study examines the overall structure among family relationship, self-efficacy, self-esteem, and delinquency of adolescent in single-parent families using structural equation modeling to provide theoretical basis preventable juvenile delinquency. The data of 516 middle and high school students in the research into the promotion policies on children and adolescents' mental health(2012) by the National Youth Policy Institute analysed. The result of this study are: (1) family relationship affects self-efficacy, self-esteem, and delinquency of adolescent, (2) family relationship affects delinquency of adolescent by the mediation of self-esteem, (3) self-efficacy doesn't affect delinquency of adolescent. This study suggests the necessity of both intervention as well as the development implementation of practical methods for the prevention of delinquency of adolescent.

  • This study was conducted to understand the relationship among self-efficacy, career identity and professional self-concept of nursing students. Data were collected from 175 nursing students in the 3rd and 4th grades of the nursing students by questionnaire method. The analysis method was stepwise multiple regression. It revealed professional self-concept was statistically significant according to gender, health status, interpersonal relationships, satisfaction on university life, satisfaction on major and perceptive academic achievements and self-efficacy, career identity and satisfaction on major to be significant predictors of professional self-concept. These variables accounted for 56.4% of professional self-concept. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the professional self-concept of nursing students by implementing a gradual intervention program that can improve the self-efficacy, career identity and satisfaction on major from the freshman period.

  • The purpose of this study was two-fold. First, comparisons on the psychological and physical attributes of normal weight, overweight, and obese children were conducted. Second, the influence of BMI and physical fitness interaction on psychological adaptation in children with obesity was explored. Participants were 245 children between the ages of 9 and 13 years (64.5% males). Data on children considered overweight (n = 45) or obese (n = 78) were gathered from the Korean Obese Children's Physical Activity (KOCPA) projects. Normal weight children (n = 122) were recruited from two Seoul elementary schools. Psychological measurements included Weight Efficacy Life-style Questionnaire (WEL), Physical Self-efficacy Scale (PSES), Child Dietary Self-efficacy Scale (CDSS), Self-concept Inventory (SCI), and the Korean version of the Pediatric Quality of Life Intervention TM Version 4.0 Generic Core Scales (PedsQLTM4.0). BMI (kg/m2) and physical fitness (e.g., aerobic endurance, flexibility) were recorded by experts in exercise physiology. Results showed that children in the high BMI group reported poorer psychological adaption and demonstrated lower physical fitness when compared to the remaining groups. Compared to normal weight children, children considered overweight and obese were found to have lower physical self-efficacy, more negative self-concept, and poorer quality of life. Further, these children also had significantly lower physical fitness levels than their normal weight counterparts. Physical fitness was found to have a significant main effect on weight efficacy (WEL), physical self-efficacy (PSES), and quality of life (PedsQL) in children considered overweight or obese. A significant BMI-physical fitness interaction effect was found for self-concept (SCI) only. Children with higher BMI reported poorer self-concept regardless of fitness level whereas children with lower BMI and higher fitness reported more positive self-concept. Implications and limitations are discussed.
