The Effects of Participation Motive Level of the Volunteer Activities on the Social Capital Convergence Formation of the Elderly (노인 자원봉사활동 참여동기 수준이 사회적 자본의 융복합 형성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the effect of the volunteer participation motivation of the elderly on the convergence formation of the social capital. This study is based on the quantitative research of 390 older adults who have participated on the volunteer programs run by welfare center and culture center for the elderly at Incheon area. The results are as follows. First, social responsibility and self-realization (independent variables) have effect on social trust(dependent variable). Second, self-realization(independent variable) has effect on social participation(dependent variable). Third, but social activity(independent variables) have not effect on social trust and social participation(dependent variable). This study can be use to propose policies related to the social activity for the elder's good life.

A Study on Self-Actualization Level of junior College Nursing Students (간호전문대학생의 자아실현에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to Identify the self-actualization level of Junior College Nursing Students and to analyze the variables that may be related to self-actualization. A convenient sample of 346 students were selected from three colleges located in Seoul and Kyungki-Province. The data were collected using a direct survey method from September17to October 2, 1992. The instrument used for this study was the self-actualization test modified by Kim & Lee(1983). The collected data were analyzed using percentages, means, 1-test, X$^2$-test, ANOVA and Pearson’s correlation coefficient, with the SPSSPC$^{+}$ Package. The results of this study are as follows : 1) The self-actualization level of subjects was moderate. The subjects showed higher scores in the areas of Self actualizing Values and Nature of Man than the standardized normal groups. The subjects showed lower scores in the areas of Inner Directed Existentiality, Self acceptance and Capacity for Intimate Contact. 2) The subjects attending day junior colleges showed higher scores in the areas of Time competent, Existentiality and Self Acceptance than those attending college in the evening. The subjects attending evening junior colleges showed higher scores in the areas of Spontaneity than those attending college by day. 3) The junior students showed higher scores in the areas of Feel-ing Reactivity than freshman. The students with no religion showed higher scores in the areas of existentiality than those who had a religion. The group who had the experience of failure on the college entrance examination showed lower scores in the areas of Nature of Man than those without this experience. Those who chose their major voluntary showed scores higher in the areas of I nor Directed, Self Actualizing Values, Spontaneity and Self regard than the unsatisfied group. The group satisfied with college life showed higher scores in the areas of Time Competent, Inner Directed, Self Actualizing Values and Self Regard than the unsatisfied group. In conclusion self actualization level depends on motivation of choice, satisfaction with nursing as a major and satisfaction with college life. Therefore, and effective guidance program is required to improve motivation and satisfaction with nursing as a major and with college life.

Relation among the necessary and sufficient conditions of human relation (인간관계의 필요.충분조건들간의 관계)

  • This study tried to reveal the relation among the necessary and sufficient conditions of human relation, which is the core concept of human-centered counseling. The relation of these three conditions are quite different according to what we take as the main content of authenticity. If we take congruence as its content, as Rogers did in his early academic years, three conditions are equal in their importance as instruments which counselor can use. But, if we take presence as its content, as Rogers did in his later academic years, authenticity possesses central position while using empathy and unconditional positive regard as its instruments. In this relation, we can say authenticity is a continuous growing process of self realization. And it also can be sad that the three necessary and sufficient conditions compose productive counseling relation inviting both counselor and client to the self realizing process.

Effects of Cultural Tourism Commentators' Needs on Job Satisfaction and Continuance Will (문화관광해설사의 욕구가 직무만족 및 지속의지에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence relationship on the cultural tourism commentators' job satisfaction and willingness to continue by the needs of cultural tourism commentators when insufficient compared to workers in other industries. For this, I used a questionnaire organized based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs to conduct a survey of guides who participated in cultural tour guides training program in Chungcheongbuk-do and Jeollanam-do from Aug. 10 through Sep. 7, 2015. 198 of total 200 copies of the questionnaire were collected. Except 30 copies in which missing values or insincerely filled out, 168 copies were used as data for the analysis in this study. And I used SPSS 18.0 to conduct exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The analysis showed that cultural tour guides' needs were identified as the four factors of self-actualization, social need, safety and esteem, and physiological needs. Also, self-actualization and social need exercised positive influence on job satisfaction, and regard to the job satisfaction exerted significant positive influence on willingness to continue working. Based on these findings, this paper suggests implications and limitation of the research as well as future directions for the study.

A Meta-Analysis of Librarians' Job Satisfaction Studies (사서의 직무만족도에 관한 메타분석 연구)

  • This study conducted meta-analysis of librarians' job satisfaction using the Hedges & Olkin's Effect Size Model. Sex and Marrage as group variables, and Total Satisfaction and 7 sub-variables(Work Itself, Salary, Promotion, Supervision, Working Conditions, Social Recognition, Self-actualization) as dependent variables were selected from 27 studies. The effect sizes between men and women were significantly different on Supervision, Working conditions, Promotion, and Social Recognition, of which first two were homogeneous. But the difference of Social Recognition was not significant in Random Effect Model. The effect sizes difference between married and unmarried were significant on Self Recognition, Salary, and Work Itself. However the difference of Work Itself was not significant in Random Effect Model. Study Year could not be a moderator.

Mediation Effect of Job Satisfaction in the Relationship between Need Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 욕구만족과 이직의도의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • In this study, we examine the effects of five needs satisfaction on job satisfaction and turnover intention based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs for clinical nurses. Also, this was a convergence study that confirmed the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between need satisfaction and turnover intention. The participants were 239 clinical nurses at a general hospital located in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed for mediating effects using hierarchical regression analysis and PROCESS Macro (Model 4). Physiological and safety needs did not have a significant effect on job satisfaction while belongingness, esteem, and self-actualizations need had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, physiological and esteem needs had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. In addition, the mediating effect of job satisfaction was significant in the relationship between need satisfaction (physiological, safety, belongingness, and self-actualization needs) and turnover intention. We confirm that an increase in the satisfaction of the five needs of clinical nurses can reduce their turnover intention. Therefore, we suggest that it is necessary to effectively manage need satisfaction and job satisfaction in the clinical field.

A Study on the Motive and Evaluation of the Job for a Special Private Security Tasks (특수경비원의 직업선택동기와 직업평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study is focused on the relation in the motive and the evaluation for the job in a special private security field. The supplement of the outstanding human resources is one of most important matter to improve the private security industry. For it the applicant's motive and evaluation of whose quality should be screened to recruit proper and oustanding human resources into the industry. For the study the follow elements would be considered. First, What is the real motive to apply the job and how prospect on the job the applicant will be taken. Second, what is different point of view to the job between male and female. Third, what relationship is in achieving the job performance between the temporary motive and the planed motive. Forth, what effects are on the job satisfaction and the planed motive for the job. With the above elements the survey was taken based on each sex for the study and the results are out as below. a) Male is in higher than female in taking with unplaned job motive and for job satisfaction is much higher in 1-20 age range. b) In general, the expectation on the job is much higher than the current job status, the male are in the expextation on the job and the female are in the the current job status. c) The job satisfaction is on positive effect to the planed taken job but the unplaned taken job is on negative. From the Research the most concerning element on the recruiting new employee is applicant's positive attitude on the job he/she will be taken.

A Study on the Method for the Self-Reflection of Librarianship (사서직의 자아성찰 방안 제시에 관한 연구)

  • This study focuses on the fact that the awareness of problems concerning self-reflection has not been sufficiently addressed in the realm of Library and Information Science, although it has an important effect on the professional development and individual maturity of librarians. Recent research on self-reflection, which is only at the beginning stages of study, has brought up the need for additional and more in-depth analyses of factors that influence self-reflection. This study on the progress of overall research will show the current status and definition of librarians' self-reflection. The study will also illuminate and make suggestions to help direct future research along the lines of librarians' self-reflection and corresponding educational requirements.

Study of the Priority of Baby Boomer Policy: Emotional Psychology through Analytic Hierarchy (AHP 분석방법을 통한 감성심리 기반의 베이비부머 정책 우선순위 결정)

  • As the social interest of the Baby Boomer generation is increasing, this study derives implications for lifelong education policy through identification of the need and support for lifelong education among baby boomers lifelong learning, taking into account such aspects of quality of life as emotional psychology-based self-development and self-realization. To optimally explore support for lifelong learning for the baby-boomer generation, first-tier (top-level), sixth-tier (bottom-level), and five-other evaluation criteria were available. For the first layer, we examined whether potentiality or realizability was more desirable, and for the second layer, detailed criteria for realizability were set up, dividing them into financial, legal, and administrative feasibility. A study conducted by experts on the policy priority analysis of Baby Boomers showed that their support for lifelong learning places a greater priority on its feasibility (the more feasible alternative) than desire (the more desirable option). Among the six criteria, lifestyle activities had high priority, and the relative importance of the five assessment alternatives for lifetime learning activities was shown to be higher for employment skills education (0.377), civil participation education (0.181), lifestyle activities (0.200), and 'lifetime activities' (06.11). These results are meaningful: they can help shape and refine the needs of lifelong education, assess their relative importance, and prepare basic data for lifelong learning policies for baby boomers who are about to enter their old age.

A Strategy using SNS for improving of the Leadership of Elementary Gifted Children in Information (초등 정보영재의 리더십 향상을 위한 SNS 활용 전략)

  • 영재교육의 목표는 개인의 자아실현 및 국가 사회에 이바지하는 인재를 양성하는 데 있다. 그러나 그 동안 우리의 영재교육이 지적인 영역에 치중한 결과, 우리나라 영재의 리더십 수준은 미국의 일반 학생과 비슷하다는 분석이 제기되기도 하였다. 지적능력만 뛰어난 영재는 현대사회에서 요구하는 타인을 배려하고 소통하며 합리적 의사결정을 내릴 수 있는 인재상과는 거리가 멀다. 이에 본 논문에서는 정보영재를 위한 리더십 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 그 도구로 SNS를 활용하였다. SNS는 다양한 자료를 검색, 공유할 수 있고 사람사이의 관계 맺기, 타인과의 소통을 기반으로 하기에 리더십 교육의 목표 실현에 적합한 특징을 지녔고, 컴퓨터나 인터넷 등 첨단 기기의 사용을 즐기는 정보 영재의 특성과도 일치하는 도구이기 때문이다. 유투브, 위키피디아, 트위터 등의 SNS를 사용하여 동영상을 제작하고 간단한 메시지로 타인과 소통하며, 위키에서 협업하여 과제를 수행해나가는 과정을 통해 대인관계와 조직능력, 타인과 공동체 배려 등 리더십이 향상될 것으로 기대한다.
