  • This paper proposes the adaptive way that intended screen applies the same proportion of the game screen to mobile devices having various resolution. Generally speaking, clipping is the way to show only part of screen with designated proportion and is widely used in game industry. It costs additionally because developers make game screens fit various resolutions. However, the proposed method of this study saves developing time and cost if automatically calculated output is possible according to designated screen proportion and devices' aspect ratio. This suggested algorithm makes it possible to display game screen in same proportion automatically to various resolution and the mini-map is automatically fixed regardless of the mobile devices' resolution.

  • 본 연구는 고가의 인프라 구축이라는 제약 때문에 현재까지 기초적인 수준에 머물러있는 홈 네트워크의 문제점을 극복하고자 제안된 스마트폰 중심의 개인환경서비스(PES : Personal Environment Service)를 연구하였다. 개인환경서비스는 스마트폰과 무선랜, 블루투스 등의 모듈이 탑재된 가전기기와 근거리 무선통신으로 사용자의 선호도를 저장하고 있는 프로파일을 교환하여 가전기기를 자동으로 설정해 주며 프로파일은 서비스 서버에도 전송되어 지속적으로 갱신, 사용자에게 편리한 생활을 제공해 준다. 본 연구는 이러한 스마트폰 중심의 개인환경서비스의 데모 시스템 구조 및 시연 시스템을 구축하였다. 데모시스템의 스마트폰 플랫폼은 구글 사의 안드로이드 2.2 (Froyo) 버전이며, 지능형 가전기기와는 블루투스 통신을 통해 사용자와 서비스 프로파일을 교환한다. 가전기기는 PC, 난방기기, 가스렌지, TV, 라디오 총 5가지를 구현하였는데 실제 가전기기를 구현할 수 없는 한계로 인해 PC를 제외한 가전기기는 블루투스 임베디드 보드에 LCD 디스플레이를 설치한 모의(pseudo) 가전기기로 대체하였다. 스마트폰에 저장되어 있는 사용자 프로파일은 각각의 가전기기별 선호도를 환경설정을 통해 설정할 수 있게 하였고, 선호도를 설정하면 가전기기는 블루투스 통신으로 스마트폰의 사용자 프로파일을 전송받아 자동 설정해 준다. 서비스 서버는 스마트폰과 가전기기의 모든 로그를 전송받아 패턴분석 과정을 거쳐 사용자의 프로파일을 자동으로 설정해주어서 사용자는 개인에게 최적화된 생활환경을 제공받게 된다. 개인환경서비스는 현재 표준화 규격 개발을 위해 제조업체, 이동통신사, 연구소, 대학교 등에서 활발히 연구 중에 있으며, 향후에는 현재까지 개발된 데모 시스템을 토대로 프로토콜을 연구, 수립하여 표준화 규격 개발에 기여할 예정이다.

Development of An Automatic Classification System for Game Reviews Based on Word Embedding and Vector Similarity (단어 임베딩 및 벡터 유사도 기반 게임 리뷰 자동 분류 시스템 개발)

  • Because of the characteristics of game software, it is important to quickly identify and reflect users' needs into game software after its launch. However, most sites such as the Google Play Store, where users can download games and post reviews, provide only very limited and ambiguous classification categories for game reviews. Therefore, in this paper, we develop an automatic classification system for game reviews that categorizes reviews into categories that are clearer and more useful for game providers. The developed system converts words in reviews into vectors using word2vec, which is a representative word embedding model, and classifies reviews into the most relevant categories by measuring the similarity between those vectors and each category. Especially, in order to choose the best similarity measure that directly affects the classification performance of the system, we have compared the performance of three representative similarity measures, the Euclidean similarity, cosine similarity, and the extended Jaccard similarity, in a real environment. Furthermore, to allow a review to be classified into multiple categories, we use a threshold-based multi-category classification method. Through experiments on real reviews collected from Google Play Store, we have confirmed that the system achieved up to 95% accuracy.

Development of Multi-Touch/Context-Aware Convergence Digital Signage System based on Android OS Platform (안드로이드 플랫폼 기반 멀티 터치/상황인지형 융복합 디지털 사이니지 시스템 개발)

  • If a digital signage system is operated in PC mounted in the Window OS then the implementing price is very high. For resolving this problem, we used the Smartphone mounted in ARM Cortex family of multi-core processor-based mobile platform. We developed a low-power low-cost digital signage system and a remote convergence content management program based on web server. This convergence system manages advertising content to a remote control device anywhere using remote control technology. This system is one integrated system with display and is a low-power consumed and is developed in very efficient hardware interface. And condition sensors(intensity of illumination, temperature, weather, GPS etc) is equipped in the developed system. Automatic contents builder and Context-aware SMIL module is also implemented in the convergence system. We achieved over 50% power savings comparing with conventional Window OS system and 16 points multi-touch in our system.

  • Automatic Weather Systems (AWS) were placed at many educational as well as governmental institutes for the measurement of weather in Korea. However, weather information from AWS was not used as a real time system because of the complexity of the web display. For the web display ;ud automatic store of weather data to be used as a real time system, KNU Weather Now-V1.0 was developed. The system is very simple but useful for students and other users. Thus, everybody can use stored weather data and can process the data easily. This study focuses on the development of the system and the educational usage of AWS.

  • 최근 차량용 블랙박스, 자동 운전 시스템, 어라운드 뷰 시스템 등과 같은 운전자의 편의와 안전을 위한 장치 및 시스템들이 개발되고 있다. 현재 운전자를 위한 보조 시스템으로 구글(google)의 자동 운전 시스템(Auto Car Driving System)과 현대 모비스(hyundai mobis)의 AVM 시스템(Around View Monitoring System) 등의 다양한 차량용 편의장치 시스템들이 등장했다. 위와 같은 다양한 ECU들을 관리하기 위한 서버 및 저장 장치 역할을 할 수 있는 고사양의 Car PC의 장착이 필수적이다. 기존의 AVM 시스템은 차량 주변을 실시간으로 제공하기 위해 임베디드 또는 별도의 차량용 네트워크를 통해 임베디드 시스템 또는 SoC(System On Chip)형태의 하드웨어 기반으로 개발되고 있다. 하지만 고사양의 Car PC 기반에서는 별도의 비용없이 소프트웨어로 구현이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 차량의 전 후 좌 우에 장착된 4대의 카메라로부터 입력된 차량 주변 상황을 한눈에 보여주는 AVM 시스템(Around-View Monitoring System)을 위한 카메라 보정 및 정합 처리 모듈 및 AVM 시스템을 Windows를 O/S로 하는 PC 내부에서 기존의 AVM 시스템을 이용하여 화면에 전 후 좌 우 버튼을 각각 만들어 버튼을 터치했을 때, 각 버튼에 해당되는 영상이 AVM 시스템과 함께 출력되도록 하거나 디스플레이에 Full 버전으로 출력되도록 S-UI(Smart User Interface)를 설계 및 구현한다. 제안하는 AVM 시스템과 기존의 AVM 시스템의 성능과 기능을 비교 분석함으로써 제안하는 영상 처리 모듈을 이용하여 추가 비용이 발생하지 않는 AVM 시스템의 구현 가능성을 검증한다.

Flesh Tone Balance Algorithm for AWB of Facial Pictures (인물 사진을 위한 자동 톤 균형 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an auto flesh tone balance algorithm for the picture that is taken for people. General white balance algorithms bring neutral region into focus. But, other objects can be basis if its spectral reflectance is known. In this paper the basis for white balance is human face. For experiment, first, transfer characteristic of image sensor is analyzed and camera output RGB on average face chromaticity under standard illumination is calculated. Second, Output rate for the image is adjusted to make RGB rate for the face photo area taken under unknown illumination RGB rate that is already calculated. Input tri-stimulus XYZ can be calculated from camera output RGB by camera transfer matrix. And input tri-stimulus XYZ is transformed to standard color space (sRGB) using sRGB transfer matrix. For display, RGB data is encoded as eight-bit data after gamma correction. Algorithm is applied to average face color that is light skin color of Macbeth color chart and average color of various face colors that are actually measured.

  • In order to solve the problems such as reduction of agriculture population, aging and declining of grain self sufficiency rate, agriculture ICT convergence technology utilizing IoT technology is actively being developed. Agricultural ICT technology only concentrates on facility houses, and there is no automated control system in the field of cultivation. In this paper, we propose an irrigation control system that automatically controls the solenoid valves and water pumps in a large area with Lora wireless communication. The proposed system does not require a separate power source by using a small solar panel, and it is very convenient to install and operate supporting wireless auto setup by plug-and-play method. Therefore, it is expected that it will contribute to the reduction of labor force, quality of agricultural products, and productivity improvement.

  • This paper proposes a multimodal sensor platform which supports plug and play (PnP) technology. PnP technology automatically recognizes a connected sensor module and an application program easily controls a sensor. To verify a multimodal platform for PnP technology, we build up a firmware and have the experiment on a sensor system. When a sensor module is connected to the platform, a firmware recognizes the sensor module and reads sensor data. As a result, it provides PnP technology to simply plug sensors without any software configuration. Measured sensor raw data suffer from various distortions such as gain, offset, and non-linearity errors. Therefore, we introduce a polynomial calculation to compensate for sensor distortions. To find the optimal coefficients for sensor calibration, we apply a genetic algorithm which reduces the calibration time. It achieves reasonable performance using only a few data points with reducing 97% error in the worst case. The platform supports various protocols for multimodal sensors, i.e., UART, I2C, I2S, SPI, and GPIO.

Automatic Indexing Algorithm of Golf Video Using Audio Information (오디오 정보를 이용한 골프 동영상 자동 색인 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an automatic indexing algorithm of golf video using audio information. In the proposed algorithm, the input audio stream is demultiplexed into the stream of video and audio. By means of Adaboost-cascade classifier, the continuous audio stream is classified into announcer's speech segment recorded in studio, music segment accompanied with players' names on TV screen, reaction segment of audience according to the play, reporter's speech segment with field background, filed noise segment like wind or waves. And golf swing sound including drive shot, iron shot, and putting shot is detected by the method of impulse onset detection and modulation spectrum verification. The detected swing and applause are used effectively to index action or highlight unit. Compared with video based semantic analysis, main advantage of the proposed system is its small computation requirement so that it facilitates to apply the technology to embedded consumer electronic devices for fast browsing.
