This study examined the reliability and validity of the Korean short version of the Big-Five Questionnaire for children, a instrument designed to measure Big-Five personality domains of elementary school students. The short Big-Five Questionnaire for children was composed of 15 items based on exploratory factor analyses on th data from 5th and 6th grade elementary school students(N=278). Confirmatory factor analyses revealed evidence of structural validity of the Korean short version BFQ-C. The correlations of K-BFQC-SF with the criteria of depression, academic achievement, career maturity were assessed to verify criterion-related validity. The correlation coefficients were correspondent to the results of previous studies. This study is meaningful in that it is sufficient to assess five factor personality domains in school settings.

Present paper describes on the development of a new virtual program for science learning, and an exploration of it's application to science education. In addition, the method of teaching and loaming activities for science is suggested. The new type program is called Science Cyber Conference(that is Shimpark's Ssacon). It is developed to improve the abilities of inquiry and the scientific reasoning by planning on the investigation, arranging the data, synthesizing the results, and concluding and presenting one's opinions. On cyber environment, discussing about and communicating opinions and data investigated, are performed for special topic through chatting room, discussing room and electronic mailing, and totally synthesis and discussion about special inquiry topic at cyber conference day.

This paper tried to analyze cases of one year team-based project of gifted students who spent two year programs in a math-IT integrated class as part of formative evaluation and extracted the factors associated with future enhancement for the program. The researcher as an advisory professor tried to guide the students as minimally as possible considering their levels of IT skills so that they could self-directedly perform the IT-fused project on a team basis. The data collection included documents, annual report, photos, video, artifacts and interview data with the students for the whole team project carried out between February and December, 2015. The overall pattern of the project activities has been stabilized in the middle of the course compared to the initial stages of brainstorming and design work even though the students revealed the differences of their programming skills and preferences toward the project theme. Their project outcomes were qualitatively analyzed according to the 9 steps of R&E model and has shown individual differences according to low, middle and high level. At the end, the analysis suggested several implications for further improvement of the mentorship program.

We investigated the importance and efficiency of active and passive exploration on the recognition of objects in a variety of virtual environments (VEs). In this study, 54 participants (19 males and 35 females) were randomly allocated into one of two navigation conditions (active and passive navigation). The 3D visual display was presented through HMD and participants used joysticks to navigate VEs. The VEs consisted of exploring four rooms (library, office, lounge, and conference room), each of which had 15 objects. 'Active navigation' was performed by allowing participants to self-pace and control their own navigation within a predetermined time limitation for each room. 'Passive navigation' was conducted by forced navigation of the four rooms in random order. Total navigation duration and objects for both navigations were identical. After navigating VEs, participants were asked to recognize the objects that had been in the four rooms. Recognition for objects was measured by response time and the percentage of correct, false, hit, and miss responses. Those in the active navigation condition had a significantly higher percentage of hit responses (t (52) = 4.000 p < 0.01), and a significantly lower percentage of miss responses (t (52) = -3.763, p < 0.01) in object recognition than those in the passive condition. These results suggest that active navigation plays an important role in spatial cognition as well as providing a better explanation about the efficiency of learning in a 3D-based program.

본 연구는 창업지원사업의 효과성을 높이기 위해 창업지원사업의 분야 및 창업지원사업의 기대충족도와 경영성과와의 인과관계를 규명하고 창업기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 검증하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 우리나라 창업지원사업의 분야별 인지도, 중요도, 만족도를 살펴보고, 이러한 인식도의 차이인 기대충족도를 비교분석하여 이에 근거한 문제점을 파악함으로서 현 시대에 맞는 발전방향을 도출하여 우리나라 창업지원사업의 발전방안들을 제시하며, 합리적이고 효과적인 정책방향을 탐색하고자한다. 조사대상은 충청남도와 충청북도의 창업보육센터에 위치하며, 중소기업창업지원법에 의해 사업을 개시하고 7년이 지나지 않은 개인사업자 및 법인 사업자로 한정하였다. 자료수집 방법은 창업보육 매니저에게 요청하여 10개의 창업보육센터를 대상으로 총 150개의 입주기업에 이메일 설문지가 발송되었고, 자기보고식 작성방법에 따라 설문회수된 123개의 설문지 중 불성실 하게 응답한 설문지 1부를 제외한 총 122개를 최종 설문지로 사용하였다. 연구를 위한 자료의 수집은 2017년 10월 10일부터 2017년 10월 25일까지 2주간 실시하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0을 활용하여 분석하였다. 창업지원사업 분야별로 창업자들이 상대적으로 중요하게 생각하는 정도와 실제 만족하는 정도의 평균값과 그 차이에 대한 검정을 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 창업지원사업 중 가장 중요하게 인지하고 있는 분야는 자금지원(4.44점), 시설 공간(4.25점), 컨설팅(3.80점), 창업교육(3.76점) 순으로 나타났고, 자금지원과 시설 공간은 4점 이상의 높은 점수를 보였다. 창업지원사업의 만족도는 창업교육(3.39점), 시설 공간(3.48점), 자금지원(3.36점), 컨설팅(3.33점)순으로 나타났다. 창업지원사업의 창업교육, 시설 공간, 컨설팅, 자금지원 각각 분야의 중요도와 만족도의 차이에 대한 통계적 유의성을 검정한 결과 모든 분야에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Recently, a number of researches acknowledge the importance of 'reflection' and 'reflective teacher education,' and they highlight the implication of 'reflection' on the teacher's profession or the teacher education. The reflective thought is interpreted as a subject that should be taught or a sort of strategy that a teacher should learn, while the aspect is excluded that reflection is the interaction between the innate knowledge and the practice. As a result, the reflective teacher education programs that increase the level of reflection are developed and practiced, and the reflection is accepted as a tool for increasing teacher professionalism. Reflective teaching is en essential and basic element for the development of teacher knowledge. In particular, such teacher knowledge might be being gradually expanded by a teacher's self-assessment on reflection on his own instruction. For this reason, this study develops an assessment framework on instruction which is comprized of teacher knowledge and instructional process. To accomplish this, in this study, teacher knowledge is considered as a whole practice knowledge combined by subject matter knowledge, understanding of learners, teaching and learning methods and assessment, and instructional environment. Also, success on instruction in mathematics class might depend on the acquisition of teacher knowledge, instructional planning, instructional execution, and furthermore reflection on instruction. Especially, this study emphasizes that 'reflection on instruction', the most important step of instruction be reflected and examined by the teacher himself.

The purposes of the present study were to analyze correlation of vote behavior and attitude and vote intention in the pre-survey, and to investigate the efficient method of predicting the voting result from the pre-surveys. The previous attitude is measured by the support for the candidate, political self-confidence, self-efficacy and opinion on present issues. The vote intention is surveyed by the past election participation and degree of election interest. Real voting behavior is surveyed by the post enumeration, and the pre-survey and both post-survey are conducted to the same person to analyze the correlation of voting behavior and pre-survey. The real election participation is highly correlated with vote intention, election interest and past election participation. Almost respondents did not change the supporting candidate from the poll survey to the election vote. It is shown that the voting behavior at election of the nonrespondent of pre-survey can be predicted with the demographic charater and attitude of present issues.

The purpose of this study is to suggest some direction to support learning of students in college of engineering. It results from the assumption that engineering education accreditation should come with assessment of the educational process. To analyze the learning process, this study analyzed 5 categories - involvement in and out of instruction, faculty-student interaction, teaching-learning outcomes, and the system of student support. The Research method was questionnaire, and T-test and hierarchical linear model were used. The major findings are as follows. Major-level of satisfaction in teaching-learning and optional-level of satisfaction in teaching-learning are good. But the degree of self-directed learning activities and student-faculty interaction is low, and writing attitude and learning outcomes are not good. Student-faculty interaction, high-order thinking activities and active involvement have a good influence on learning outcomes. So this study suggests to enhance active involvement in instruction, high-order thinking activities, writing skills, and interaction with faculty for the improvement of quality of higher education.

The purposes of the study were to develop STEM instructional materials for teaching and learning mathematics and to investigate how the STEM based approach affects on students' learning of mathematics in cognitive and affective domain and career choice. STEM instructional materials were designed for learning of mathematical concepts in the contexts of science, technology, and engineering as well as real world. According to the results of the study, STEM instructional materials for teaching and learning mathematics were effective for improving students' problem solving ability and affective achievement such as self-regulation, self-efficacy, and value of mathematics. In addition, STEM program played a positive role in tempting students' career choice into science and engineering fields including mathematics.

This study investigated the background of the intellectual ability that consists of family environment, intellectual priority, career aims, intellectual extracurricular activities of the students who were selected for the Science Gifted Education Center. We performed a survey and analysis of the students at the Science Gifted Education Center in order to explore their learning attitudes and intellectual ability, as well as the elements that represent their attitudes. As a result of the study, I found that the students in the Science Gifted Education Center generally had good economic and family backgrounds that showed no significant hardship in supporting the students. The families were also highly educated intellectually. In case the talented students in Science desired to be pure scientists, they liked the Science subjects and enjoyed reading science books. It was mostly the male students that took part. As for the attitude toward intellectual ability, they expected to improve their abilities as they gained knowledge and increased their intelligence through learning, although they didn't confide with us on their intelligence quotients.
