The Development of Computerized Sport-related Cognitive Test Battery to Measure Sport Intelligence, the Ability to Read the Game (게임을 읽는 머리, 스포츠지능을 측정하기 위한 컴퓨터 기반 스포츠 인지검사 프로그램 개발)

  • High-performing athletes possess the ability to read the game, known as the "sports brain". However, a cognitive battery to measure such sports brain has not been developed yet. The purpose of the study, thus, is to develop a computerized cognitive test battery to measure athletes' cognitive function. Based on a systematic review, information processing speed, execution function, and spatial ability were selected as sports-related cognitive functions. Simple and choice response times test, trail-making test, Flanker test, and mental rotation task were developed. After providing manual and practice trials, main tests were executed and all primary variables were statistically processed and automatically saved. The test battery is expected to aid in the discovery and recruitment of athletes in the future after verifying the validity and reliability of this battery.

  • The personal identification based on the biometrics has emerged as one of the new trend. This study attempted to explore and examine the user recognition in the use of the personal identification based on the biometrics in the respect of self-efficacy, trustiness, security, and safety alongside the effect of the recognition on the future use intention through survey. The result of this study demonstrated the effect on the use intention of the perceived trustiness and ease of the fingerprint identification, perceived ease of the iris identification and the perceived trustiness of the vein identification. The result of this study is expected to suggest direction on the application of the biometrics considering user recognition.

  • The assessment and rehabilitation of patients with cognitive dysfunction is a field that currently requires assistive technology. While the paper-and-pencil test, such as the line tracing test (LTT), is one of the most commonly used assessment methods for cognitive dysfunction, it has become time-consuming due to its manual characteristic. The aim of this study was therefore to establish a computer-based real-time assessment system for patients without compromising the usefulness of the conventional paper-and-pencil based user tools. A digital pen-based assessment and rehabilitation system, the ePen System, could eliminate the time required for manual assessment while maintaining the measurement accuracy. The proposed system may assist rehabilitation specialists to assess and diagnose patients with unilateral visual neglect. This system can be applied to a range of assessment and rehabilitation modalities based on pen and paper. It can also be used for various patients such as those with Parkinson's disease, stroke, or different forms of brain lesions.

Preceding Research on Comparative Analysis of the Validity of Game based Cognitive Training Program for Children with Intellectual Disabilities (지적장애 아동을 위한 게임형 인지훈련 프로그램의 타당도 선행 연구 비교 분석)

  • Recently, many cognitive training programs based on digital contents have been presented, but few digital contents have been produced for children with intellectual disabilities among children with developmental disabilities. Digital contents based training programs are needed to apply remotely untact training programs rather than face-to-face apprenticeship classes for improving the cognition of children with intellectual disabilities. This study was attempted to present the new cognitive training program by analyzing concurrent validity, which was analyzed by the correlation between items by comparing with subtests of K-WISC-IV and items of game based Neuro-World cognitive training program. It was found that there are some validity by analyzing correlation between the subtests of K-WISC-IV and the items of Neuro-World program, which means that it has concurrent validity of some items of Neuro-World program. In terms of reliability, the Cronbach alpha value was 0.794, indicating that game performance of children with intellectual disabilities and the degree of level increase in each game were somewhat reliable. This is considered to be a significant result in future studies for clinical trials of cognitive training tools.

  • 본 연구에서는 사용자의 질의에 대해 대답을 제시하는 질의응답시스템의 평가를 위한 테스트컬렉션을 구축하였다. 질의응답시스템 평가를 위한 테스트컬렉션은 207,067개의 문서, 90개의 질의, 각 질의에 대한 적합성 판정 집합으로 구성되어 있다. 문서집합은 신문기사로 SGML형식으로 가공되었고, 질의는 다양한 유형의 질의와 변형질의를 포함한다. 적합성 판정 집합은 각 질의에 대해서 문서에 대답을 포함하는지의 여부에 따라 적합/부적합으로 판정하였고, 적합한 문서에 대해서는 대답을 표시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 구축된 질의응답시스템 평가를 위한 테스트컬렉션은 질의응답시스템의 객관적인 신뢰성 평가를 위한 기반을 마련하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유무선 통신환경의 클라이언트-서버 모델에서 바이오정보를 이용해 비밀 키 또는 비밀 정보를 실시간 공유할 수 있는 신뢰구간 기반의 바이오-암호 기법을 설계하고 분석한다. 제안하는 바이오-암호 기법은 키 결합 방식의 바이오-암호 기법의 대표적인 기법의 하나인 퍼지볼트 기법을 기본 모델로 두고 있으나, 퍼지볼트 기법의 주요 이슈인 거짓 볼트 수의 증가에 따른 인식률 저하, 고차 다항식 복원 시간의 실용성 여부, 상관 공격에의 취약을 해결하기 위하여 T-검정 기반 신뢰구간을 적용한 키 결합 방식으로 설계하였다. 실험결과는 거짓 볼트 수의 증가와 상관없이 항상 비밀 키를 획득해 보안성과 정확성이 향상되고, 이때의 수행시간도 사용자가 인지하기 힘든 작은 값으로 실시간 사용의 가능성을 높이고, 유사 바이오정보로 비밀 키를 획득할 수 없어 상관 공격에도 강인함을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Impact of Security Risk on the Usage of Knowledge Management System : Focus on Parameter of Trust (보안위험 수준이 지식관리시스템의 성공에 미치는 영향 : '신뢰'를 매개변인으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the user's perception of security risk and examine its impact on the usage of Knowledge Management Systems(KMS). The findings of this study are three-fold. First, the overall user's perception of security risk is not high. However, there is a considerably big difference in the perception of security risk among users. This finding means that user's perception of a security risk is not based on the actual security effects but one's individual perception. Another finding is that user's perception of a security risk has a negative impact on the usage of KMS through "trust", which is a mediating variable in our study. This finding corresponds with the existing theory that security risk is oneof the critical sources of trust, and trust is a critical factor of user's acceptance of KMS. Finally, the result of this study reveals that activities devoted to security do not decrease the effectiveness and productivity of KMS. Our long-held cognition that security activity hinders the effectiveness and productivity of an information system is not particularly applied to the KMS.

The effect of trust repair behavior on human-robot interaction (로봇의 신뢰회복 행동이 인간-로봇 상호작용에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aimed to confirm the effect of social and relational behavior types of robots on human cognition in human-robot interaction. In the experiment, the participants evaluated trust in robots by watching a video on the robot Nao interacting with a human, in which the robot made an error and then made an effort to restore trust. The trust recovery behavior was set as three conditions: an internal attribution in which the robot acknowledges and apologizes for an error, a condition in which the robot apologizes for an error but attributes it externally, and a non-action condition in which the robot denies the error itself and does not take any action for the error. As the result, in all three cases, the error was perceived as less serious when the robot apologized than when it did not, and the ability of the robot was also highly evaluated. These results provide evidence that human attitudes towards robots can respond sensitively depending on the robot's behavior and how they overcome errors, suggesting that human perception towards robots can change. In particular, the fact that robots are more trustworthy when they acknowledge and apologize for their own errors shows that robots can promote positive human-robot interactions through human-like social and polite behavior.

  • In trust-based networks, it is very important how to decide a node is trustworthy when one node performs communications with other node. In current networks based on trust, a node creates a new trust value from observation and then establishes an intercommunication path through the process of evaluating a targeted communication node. In our paper, we propose four trust models in which a new node enters a cluster and finds a target node to create a communication in ad-hoc networks. The proposed models have been classified according to the existence of reputation server and the trust evaluation functions. Through the proposed model, we found that new node finds target node more quickly in which there exists a reputation server in the cluster and considers neighbor node's recommendation as well as own experience information when calculates trust values. As our performance analysis, we focus the communication delay time to generate a final trust value for each trust model.

  • IT기술의 발달과 함께 학습자의 학습 성향, 능력, 환경 등을 인지하고 그에 적절한 서비스가 가능한 지능형 교육 시스템이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 학습자에게 지능적이고 개인화된 서비스를 위해서는 학습자를 인지하기 위한 작업이 선행되어야 하며, 이 인지과정을 위해서는 학습자의 학습 과정에서 발생한 데이터를 수집하고 분석하게 된다. 하지만, 수집된 데이터가 학습자의 일관되지 못한 행위나 예측하지 못한 학습 성향을 포함하고 있다면, 그 결과를 신뢰하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 학습자에게서 수집된 데이터를 SVDD를 이용하여 가중치를 부여하고, 그 값을 인지과정에 활용한다. 실험에서는 홈 인테리어 교육 컨텐츠 기반에 학습자의 학습 행위에 대한 학습 성향을 진단하기 위해 DOLLS-HI를 이용하였고, 수집된 학습자의 데이터를 분석하여 전통적인 분석 방법 대비 제안하는 방법의 유효함을 확인하였다.
