A Critical Analysis on Social Welfare Researches in Korea (우리나라 사회복지학 연구경향에 관한 연구 - <한국사회복지학>에 실린 경험분석연구를 중심으로 -)

  • This article examined the trend of 125 empirical researches which were published in Jr. of Korean Social Welfare from the first issue to no. 33. in terms of theoretical and methodological orientations. The content analysis was employed for the purpose of the study. Since 1979, the number of empirical researches was in the trend of increasing. The findings from this research were as follows. 1) Among 166 authors, 96.4% were majored in social welfare. Also 6.0% were practitioners and the rest of them were in the position of professors or researchers. The outcome of lack of interdisciplinary co-work and researcher-practitioner co-work led the article to conclude that the nature of applied social science of social welfare was not so actively pursued in Korea. 2) It was almost impossible to find researches which studied same theme or employed same analytical framework. This meant that the work of re-verifying and proving the contray could not be done although it was essential for theory-building. In other words, the disciplinary of social welfare was far behind in the process of theory-building. 3) The methodology upon which most of researches were relied was quantitative methodology(92.8%). The article concluded 'paradigm shift' was not begun in the disciplinary of social welfare yet. 4) The study concluded that the particularity of empirical researches of social welfare in Korea was descriptive-configurative study. Whereas 65.5% of 125 empirical studies were descriptive-configurative, 25% were hypothesis - model test and only 6% causal analysis. 5) The most applied statistic models through the period from 1979 to 1997 were descriptive statistics such as frequency, chi square test, Pearson's r. More advanced statistics such as logit regression, probit regression, path analysis, covariance structure analysis were shown since 1990.

Theoretical Approach on the Development Stage of Animation Production Pipeline (애니메이션 제작 공정에 관한 이론적 고찰 : Development (기획개발) 단계를 중심으로)

  • This research focuses on the part of animation production pipeline. Among the four stages in the process (development, pre-production, main production, and post-production), this research explores theoretical features of the development stage. As the development stage is not well-known and theorized in Korea, this research provides roles and values of the development stage. The development stages is very important because two works have to be proceeded in this stage. First, the story idea for making animation should be decided. Ideas have to be developed into definite synopsis. And, the bible to pitch for investors are prepared on the basis of the story. Secondly, the basic production plan has to be initiated. This production plan includes the financial budget, the production schedule, and the production team. These three elements are so crucial that the producer (or executive producer) should take into consideration from the early stage of production.

An Empirically Study on the Adoption of Mobile Wireless Technology(MWT): Social and Cognitive Influence Process (무선이동기술(Mobile Wireless Technology) 수용 및 이용의 사회적, 경험적 영향과정에 관련된 요소들에 대한 연구)

  • Given the increasing of adoption of use of Mobile Wireless Technology(MWT), this study aims at investigating the key influencing determinants of individuals' MWT adoption and use. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM), the research model proposed new constructs and casual relations, Perceived Safety(PS), Perceived Costs(PC), Company's Willingness to Fund(CWF), and Experience(E) as a moderator. The model was tested using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) using AMOS 5.0 analysis on the sample collected from 387 MBA and Executive MBA students of several domestic and foreign universities. The results show that not only the variables, except Perceived Usefulness, in the original TAM model, but also new variables in the research model had a significant influence on other variables. The implications of the findings suggest a new theoretical framework for future IS/IT research and offers suggestions that the developers of MWT should consider regarding the technology

A History of Management of Technology in the United States: Implications in Korea (미국에서의 기술경영 논의의 진화: 한국에 대한 시사점을 중심으로)

  • This paper investigates the identity of technology management by taking a look at the evolution of the field in the United States. The discipline was established since the World War II when the big research organization was firstly formed in the country. Its focus has varied according to the role of technology in a corporation and the relation of technology and society in general. We identify three distinct stages of the field: R&D management, or project management, theoretical understanding of innovation in the 70s and 80s, and the diffusion of technology management and its education. The recent discussion on a standard curriculum of technology management illustrates the lack of a coherent identity of the field, however this phenomenon should not be considered as pathological and it demonstrates the widened interfaces between technology and society. Furthermore, it implies the possibility and need of diverse approaches in technology management.

Historicizing of the Civilian Massacre through oral history (구술기록을 통한 민간인학살사건의 역사화)

  • This study was designed for a theoretical and methodological discussion on a methodological medium, orality to historicize the 'Civilian Massacre', of countless counter-memories which are inherent in Korean society. In other words, prior to collection of oral sources, it is to produce reliable oral history through a discussion on oral history research methodology and qualitative research methodology of oral history, after theorizing occurrence process of dominant-memory and counter-memory, orality's meanings as a counter-memory and the necessity for historicization of neglected memories, focusing on a 'memory' which is a fundamental background of an 'oral' act. Based on this basic process, oral recording process was performed in Changsoo-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, Kyung-book Province where was selected as a research target for the civilian massacre that is a case to figure out what kind of high-quality record is produced, with a precise understanding of a particular methodology, oral history.

노마드적 기업가정신: 글로벌 인바운드 창업이주의 관점에서

  • 오늘날 많은 선진국들이 창업국가를 표방하고 있다. 실제로 많은 연구들은 창업 생태계의 역동성이 국가 경쟁력 향상으로 이어지고 있음을 뒷받침하고 있다. 이에 각국 정부들은 스타트업을 새로운 미래 성장 동력으로 인식하고, 능력 있는 창업가와 스타트업을 자국으로 유치하기 위해 힘쓰고 있다. 본 연구는 창업자들의 글로벌 창업이주(Startup migration)현상과 지역적 창업 생태계의 등장에 주목하여, 그들의 이주요인을 알아보고자 한다. 창업 생태계 관련 선행연구에 따르면 창업자들은 개인적 동기 혹은 가용 자원이 풍부한 환경을 찾아서 국경을 넘는다. 창업이주는 국내 스타트업의 해외 진출을 의미하는 아웃바운드(Outbound)와 해외 스타트업의 국내 창업 허브에 유치하는 인바운드(Inbound)가 있는데, 본 연구는 비교적 선행연구가 적은 인바운드 창업이주(Inbound startup migration)를 중심으로 진행하고자 한다. 본 연구는 선행연구, 선행연구 기반의 질문지 작성, 설문 조사의 단계로 구성되어 있다. 우선 글로벌 창업 생태계를 비교 분석 및 평가한 선행연구를 살펴보고, 글로벌 창업 이주에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 찾아낼 것이다. 이후 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 앞에서 발견한 요인들을 인바운드 창업이주 관점에서 재정리하고 각 요인별로 질문을 추가하여, 설문지를 구성할 것이다. 설문지 작성의 목적은 인바운드 창업이주에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 중요도를 알아보기 위함이다. 작성된 설문은 글로벌 창업이주 형태로 국내에 정착한 100여명의 해외국적 창업자들에게 진행될 것이다. 본 연구는 인바운드 창업이주의 핵심 요인들을 찾아내어 이론화하고 이를 실증할 설문도구를 만들어서, 이를 우리나라 인바운드 스타트업들을 대상으로 검증하여 각각의 상대적 중요도를 찾아내었다는 데 그 의의가 있다. 본 연구에서 찾아낸 영향, 요인, 프레임워크는 세계 각국의 창업생태계를 비교하는 후속 연구에 활용될 수 있을 것이고 실증된 결과는 정책 입안에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

A Study of Landscape Architect YoungSun Jung's Theory of Landscape Architecture (조경가 정영선의 조경설계론 연구)

  • This study focuses on the landscape architect Jung YoungSun to examine Korean landscaping. To do so, the research focuses on the artist's thoughts, her and Seoan's works, and related discourse (landscape architects, landscape works, and landscape discourse) up to 2014. Research was conducted through interviews (with Jung and related people), a literature survey, and the analysis of design works. As a result, four inflection points of Jung's landscape architecture career emerged, from the time she was introduced to landscape architecture, trained in it, and entered into practice, to the time she operated an independent office, showing different design trends and the depth of design thinking. In this process, excluding the early learning period, Jung's landscapes were categorized into three categories: contemporary landscapes, gardens, and traditional landscapes. Through these three categories of landscaping activities, Jung's achievements include the importation and internalization of modern landscapes (modern landscape theory), the establishment of her own garden theory and its practice (garden theory), and overcoming of tradition complexes and creative succession (traditional landscape theory). In sum, Jung's landscapes can be summarized as the practice of regionalists and auteurist thinking.

Relating Social Concern-oriented Geography Education to Critical Pedagogy (사회적 관심 지향의 지리교육과 비판적 교육학의 조응)

  • This paper begins with a critique that researches of geography education in Korea have not reflected the ideological debates in education and geography. The purpose of this paper is to figure implications for socially-critical geography education being studied in England as openly-ideological approach. First, ideological viewpoints of geography education was categorized through analysis of ideology in education and geography. Especially, a limit of conservative and liberal approach is indicated, socially-critical viewpoint is intrinsically justified as alternative logic. Socially-critical theorizing can change teacher's role as an agent of curriculum change and their conduct knowledge as well as geography curriculum. Second, (social) concern-oriented geography education to be more concerned to 'the social' can be realized through the third space approach and committed geography education as critical pedagogy. And, critical literacy is needed to teachers and students for practice of socially-critical geography education.

A Historical Inquiry about Rayleigh's Research on the Perception of the Direction of Sound (Rayleigh의 소리의 방향 지각 연구에 대한 과학사적 고찰)

  • The question how man can perceive the direction of a sound is one of the traditional psychoacoustical problems. Rayleigh already began to investigate this subject in 1870s and kept on interesting himself intermittently throughout his research career. Rayleigh was only concerned with this subject among those of perception of sound and focused more interest on it than any other acoustical problems. At first he insisted on the perception of the direction of a sound by the difference of intensity of a sound in two ears. but was phased in accepting that by the difference of phase of a sound there. Thus he arrived at the modern view that the perception of the sound direction is caused by the difference of intensity in high frequencies and the difference of phase in low frequencies. Rayleigh presented his ability as an excellent experimenter by employing very cautious and ingenious experimental settings and acquired persuasive results by linking the consequences of his mathematical theorization with his experiments.

A Study on the Efficient Improvement of the Animatics for Animation Production in Education (애니메이션 교육을 위한 애니메틱스 제작의 효율적 방안 연구)

  • Animation is breathing life into drawings through motion. Animation is formed by the afterimage phenomenon, that is, deviation of sequential pictures in every frame makes a person possibly perceive it as a live video. Consequently, animation is mostly produced using traditional frame-by-frame methods. The study of relations on timing has been a major concern of animation theory. Nevertheless, issues of timing on production outcomes and effectiveness are mostly ignored. Special focus, analysis and leadership studies on timing are addressed on animatics. Creating better timing through animatics, that is writing movies, directing, scheduling and amending storyboard in pre-production stage, eventually shorten time to animation production. This research is centered on animatics as a cutting edge educational courses. This course will introduce students to the animation production skill and instructors to in-depth teaching points. One of the concepts that we want to go for is keeping animatics apart from mere storyboard. In conjunction with the animation theory, this research conducted under the focus of production of animatics will lead to more efficient way of education on animatics.
