A Study of the Authentication of On-line Test Participants under e-Learning (e-Learning상에서 온라인 시험 응시자 인증에 관한 연구)

  • 교육의 새로운 방향은 가상 학교나 WBI와 같은 교육적 활용분야로 확대되고 있으나, e-Learning 상에서 이뤄지는 평가의 응시자에 대한 신뢰 확보는 어려운 상황이다. 기존의 인증이란 사용자가 E와 Password를 타인에게 공개하지 않는 한 본인임을 인증하였다. 하지만 온라인상에서 시험 응시자는 본인의 ID와 Password를 타인에게 알려주어 대리시험이 가능하게 함은 물론 시험문제의 공유 또는 다수의 응시자가 한 곳에 모여 문제를 풀어 감으로서 평가에 대한 신뢰도에 의문을 갖지 않을 수 없게 되었다. 이에 인터넷으로 원격조정이 가능한 PC카메라와 얼굴인식 프로그램 그리고 원격제어프로그램을 이용하여 응시자를 인증함으로써 부정행위를 원천적으로 봉쇄하고, 감독자가 언제 어디서나 웹을 통하여 쉽게 감독할 수 있도록 LMS 기능의 보완이 요구된다. 본 논문을 통해서는 채팅기능을 통한 상호 대화가 가능하고 응시 장면을 동영상으로 압축 저장하여 사후 감독이 가능토록 함으로서 e-Learning상에서의 평가 및 학사관리의 공정성 및 신뢰도를 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Improvement Plan of the Requirements for Professional Engineer Certification (기술사 자격취득요건 개선 방안)

  • Compared with the Certification Requirements for Professional Engineer in other country, those of Korean are not satisfactory. This is due to a few facts such as no relation with accreditation of engineering education and no separation of technical field and engineering field. Eventually, this problem makes it impossible to ensure the international mobility of Korean professional engineers. This research reviews the international trends regarding the professional engineer certification requirements, compares the requirements of Korea and other countries, proposes three alternatives for improvement, and suggests two implementation plans for the alternatives.

An Implementation of Gaze Recognition System Based on SVM (SVM 기반의 시선 인식 시스템의 구현)

  • The researches about gaze recognition which current user gazes and finds the location have increasingly developed to have many application. The gaze recognition of existence all about researches have got problems because of using equipment that Infrared(IR) LED, IR camera and head-mounted of high price. This study propose and implement the gaze recognition system based on SVM using a single PC Web camera. The proposed system that divide the gaze location of 36 per 9 and 4 to recognize gaze location of 4 direction and 9 direction recognize user's gaze. Also, the proposed system had apply on image filtering method using difference image entropy to improve performance of gaze recognition. The propose system was implements experiments on the comparison of proposed difference image entropy gaze recognition system, gaze recognition system using eye corner and eye's center and gaze recognition system based on PCA to evaluate performance of proposed system. The experimental results, recognition rate of 4 direction was 94.42% and 9 direction was 81.33% for the gaze recognition system based on proposed SVM. 4 direction was 95.37% and 9 direction was 82.25%, when image filtering method using difference image entropy implemented. The experimental results proved the high performance better than existed gaze recognition system.

Influence of Endorser's Gaze Direction on Consumer's Visual Attention, Attitude and Recognition: Focused on the Eye Movement (광고 모델의 위치와 시선 방향이소비자의 시각적 주의, 태도 및재인에 미치는 효과: 안구운동추적기법을 중심으로)

  • In our study, we investigated the effects of position of endorser and endorser's gaze direction(direct/averted_image/averted_text) on advertising attitude, purchase intent and brand recognition using eye-tracking method. Focusing on the printed cosmetic ads which the role of endorser is important and indirect persuade route is relatively is emphasized, we conducted experiment on 36 participants in 20s. As prior studies, our results shows that participants paid attention to more and faster on specific element which the endorser is gazing at. But it was not reflected to ad attitude and purchase intent directly. When the endorser is positioned in left the side, the highest purchase intent was shown in direct gaze condition, while when the endorser is on the right side, the highest ad attitude was shown in gazing image condition. Additionally, the brand recognition task following eye-tracking experiment shows that recognition accuracy was higher only in condition which the endorser is in the left side looking at the product image. These results demonstrated that the gaze direction of endorser plays a role as attentional guidance, which means it can lead customer's attention to particular region in the printed ad, but the effect can be varied depending on the position of endorser and which type of information the endorser is gazing at. Therefore, ultimately, to increase customer's ad attitude and purchase intent, complex consideration of not only the gazing direction of the endorser, but the position of endorser and other diverse elements is necessary.

  • E-learning as a new education trend is being applied not only to cyber school but also various education fields such as employee training for companies or interactive learning for consumers. Users of the E-learning can take online tests individually anywhere, to evaluate their achievement level. Because users who are taking the online tests may show their own IDs or passwords to others, the possibility of cheating is very high. Therefore, it is very important to authenticate the users. In this paper, we propose an adaptive-keyboard authentication method which depends on user behavior patterns through the use of IDs and passwords. This method does not need any additional devices or special effort. An adaptive method to update patterns in which IDs and passwords are entered was previously suggested and this new method has proved to be better than previous methods through simulations and implementation.

  • The 2015 revised national curriculum emphasizes software education according to national and social needs for the development of computational thinking. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze meaningful factors influencing the development of computational thinking ability, as well as researches on various teaching, learning and evaluation methods. The purpose of this study is to analyze secondary school students' computational thinking ability in the Bebras challenge 2017 tasks and the participants' results of the challenge, and to figure out the differences according to factors such as evaluation area, gender, and region. The results of this study are meaningful to understand the factors for the development of computational thinking and to suggest directions for the improvement of Bebras challenge as a evaluation tool for computational thinking ability.

Study of the Development for Qualification of Occupational Category Combined Working and Learning -Oriented toward Mold & die in Machine Field- (일학습병행제 자격직종 개발에 관한 연구 -기계분야 금형직종을 중심으로-)

  • The aim of this study was to develop assessment tools for analyzing society focusing on abilities, not an academic clique. The development of a type of occupational qualification, which is called a working and learning system, for Koreans, can be reliable and acceptable to a variety of society members. This study was conducted by searching for a dual system and examining a qualification system in developed countries. To achieve the goal of this study, the management status according to a type of qualification system was analyzed. In addition, a variety of related laws, related department, testing authority, testing institute, terms of applying for tests, way of testing, committee of testing, testing subjects, criterion for passing tests, a status of qualification test administrated in some developed countries, such as Germany, UK, the USA and Australia, were conducted. The occupational duty of the machine field and education contents are examined by analyzing the occupational duty. In addition, the criterion to solve problems and a way of marking in the field of machines were indicated and an example of written and practical tests is presented. This study makes a blueprint for a qualification system of working and learning at the same time in a national dimension.

3-D LES for Reacting and Non-reacting Flow Characteristics on a Swirl Stabilized Annular Combustor (스월 환형연소기의 반응 및 비반응 유동 특성 연구를 위한 3차원 Large Eddy Simulation)

  • Flow difference between reacting and non-reacting case in a swirl stabilized annular combustor is investigated using 3D Large Eddy Simulation with flamelet turbulent combustion model. The combustor of concern is the LM6000, lean premixed dry low-NOx annular combustor, developed by GEAE. Boundary conditions are based on experimental data. Heat release as a result of combustion put the dilatation of density in primary combustion zone highly increased so that the main swirl stream behind of a swirl cup stretched further downstream than that of non-reacting case. The oval shape of core flow in cross-section to flow direction, which clearly observed in non-reacting case, tends to be circle, and small vorticities in wide range in non-reacting case disappears, but the size of iso-vorticity increase in reacting case.

High School Students' Verbal and Physical Interactions Appeared in Collaborative Science Concept Learning Using Augmented Reality (고등학생의 증강현실을 활용한 협력적 과학 개념학습에서 나타나는 언어적·물리적 상호작용)

  • This study investigated verbal and physical interactions which appeared in collaborative science concept learning using augmented reality. Twelve 10th grade students participated in this study. After being organized into three four-member small groups, they participated in classes using smart device-based augmented reality application developed for the understanding of the chemical bonding concept. Their class activities were audio- and video-taped. Semi-structured interviews were also conducted. The results revealed that within individual statement units of verbal interaction, the proportions of information question/explanation and direction question/explanation were found to be high. Within interaction units, the proportions of reformative and cumulative interaction were relatively high. The proportions of progress were also found to be high within both individual statement units and interaction units of verbal interaction. Students' physical interactions were mainly conducted without meaningful verbal interactions. When their physical interactions were accompanied by knowledge construction-related verbal interactions, the proportions of gazing virtual objects and worksheet-related interactions were high. In contrast, various exploratory activities related to the manipulation of markers mainly appeared when they conducted physical interactions only, or when their physical interactions were accompanied by management-related verbal interactions. On the bases of the results, effective methods for collaborative concept learning using augmented reality in science education are discussed.

A Study on Desirable Management of College Mathematics through the Change of Mathematics Recognition in Engineering Freshmen (공과대학 신입생들의 수학에 대한 인식변화에 따른 대학수학 교육방향 연구)

  • In order to suggest desirable management of college mathematics for freshmen in middle level engineering college, we analyse the change of mathematics recognition between 2011 year and 2015 year freshmen who took college scholastic ability test which are based on the national mathematics curriculum 7th and 7th revision, respectively. In A university, 2011 year and 2015 year engineering freshmen were taken basic mathematical ability test and given the survey for the recognition of mathematics and college mathematics. Research results are as follows: First of all, middle level engineering freshmen were poor at basic mathematical ability. The change of mathematics recognition appeared in the level of mathematics ability and the effort for college mathematics class. Moreover middle level engineering freshmen recognize college mathematics as a basic subject for engineering and hope teacher-directed learning in college mathematics class. For the success of college mathematics in engineering college, this study suggests basic mathematical ability test and the survey for the recognition of mathematics and college mathematics. We also suggest that college mathematics class must be focused on basic mathematical ability improvement and self-directed learning.
