Effects of Absorptive Capacity on Technology Innovation and Commercialization Capacities and Management Performance (흡수역량이 기술혁신역량 및 기술사업화 역량과 경영성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzes the effects of the absorptive capacity on the technology innovation and commercialization capacities and the management performance. Based on previous studies, the absorptive capacity is sub-classified into the exploratory absorptive capacity and the exploitative absorptive capacity, which are set as independent variables, to analyze their effects on the technology innovation and commercialization capacities. In short, the absorptive capacity has positive effects on the technology innovation and commercialization capacities. In addition, the technology innovation capacity and the technology commercialization capacity have positive effects on the management performance. The findings confirm that the absorptive capacity is an important factor impacting on the corporate innovation, and suggest that businesses should recognize the importance of the absorptive capacity as a guideline for developing their strategies for technological innovation.

  • In this study, the effect of customer relationship management on the management performance of productive welfare institutions was to be analyzed empirically. For this study, data were collected from 129 participants of productive welfare institutions in Busan. The results of this study are as follows. First, contact services and communication have a statistically significant impact on the financial performance of productive welfare institutions. Second, contact services and communication have a statistically significant impact on non-financial performance of productive welfare institutions. Based on the results of this study, the following suggestions are made. First, institutionalization of CS(customer service) education should be carried out in order to improve the management performance of productive welfare institutions. Second, participants' emotional support programs are needed to improve the management performance of productive welfare institutions.

A Study on Factors Influencing Corporate Patent Activities on Management Performance (기업의 특허활동이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 요인)

  • Companies are actively engaged in various innovation activities and intellectual property rights activities such as patents in order to survive in a fiercely competitive global environment. The purpose of this study is to understand the factors that influence corporate patent-related activities on business results. For this reason, we conducted a questionnaire survey of patent practitioners and R & D personnel of Chinese companies, and analyzed the causal relationship using PLS analysis tools. As a result of the analysis, it was found that compensation and obstacle factors have a significant effect on information sharing (collaboration)... It was found that information sharing (collaboration) has a significant impact on technology complementation (improvement) and corporate image. It was also found that technical complementation (improvement) and corporate image have an impact on management results. The results of this study will be able to find and strategically utilize the factors that promote and encourage companies to develop their patent activities.

A Comparative Study on the Methodology of Failure Detection of Reefer Containers Using PCA and Feature Importance (PCA 및 변수 중요도를 활용한 냉동컨테이너 고장 탐지 방법론 비교 연구)

  • This study analyzed the actual frozen container operation data of Starcool provided by H Shipping. Through interviews with H's field experts, only Critical and Fatal Alarms among the four failure alarms were defined as failures, and it was confirmed that using all variables due to the nature of frozen containers resulted in cost inefficiency. Therefore, this study proposes a method for detecting failure of frozen containers through characteristic importance and PCA techniques. To improve the performance of the model, we select variables based on feature importance through tree series models such as XGBoost and LGBoost, and use PCA to reduce the dimension of the entire variables for each model. The boosting-based XGBoost and LGBoost techniques showed that the results of the model proposed in this study improved the reproduction rate by 0.36 and 0.39 respectively compared to the results of supervised learning using all 62 variables.

EEG-Based Explorative Study of the Role of Emotions on Business Problem-solving Creativity (비즈니스 문제 해결 창의성에 미치는 감정의 영향에 관한 EEG 기반 탐색연구)

  • This study aims to contribute to the existing literature in creativity from the viewpoint of neuro-physiological analysis. Further, we looked at emotional influences on creativity within a business problem-solving context that implemented the use of a cognitive map in exploring creativity. For this purpose, we measured brain cortical activity as people solved a business strategy problem to explore the neural mechanisms of "insight problems" that are influenced by distinct emotions. Through an Electroencephalography (EEG) analysis of 34 qualified participants, we investigated the relationship between emotions and business problem-solving creativity (BPSC). Insightful results were derived such that participants primed in a negative condition evoked higher temporal alpha band activity compared to those primed in the positive condition. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences between two priming conditions on the other band activities. Therefore, this study sheds a very positive light on the scholarly value of conducting rigorous studies about the relationship between emotional states and BPSC status.

  • This article deals with the characteristics of science, technology and society studies for societal challenges and policies to encourage that studies. It reviews several cases of science, technology and society studies. Transition management, community-based research, technology assessment and social acceptance of new technology are discussed. And it is argued that ' research' as a conceptual framework for analyzing the that studies. A couple of policy agendas enhancing that studies are suggested.

  • The 2015 revised curriculum aims to cultivate creative convergence talent. In this regard, SW education needs to study various convergence education methods to enhance computational thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of SW convergence education centered on reading education and robot utilization education to improve computing thinking ability. For this purpose, SW education teaching and learning was designed by combining SW education using card coding-based robots with reading education based on interactive works and reading on the whole work. As a result, the convergence education between reading and SW improved all three areas of the concept, practice, and perspective of computational thinking ability and increased the learner's satisfaction.

  • Knowledge sharing by collective intelligence, and knowledge production/sharing by outer cooperation is also important for the company. Therefore, it is needed the next generation KMS(Knowledge Management System) designed and built which based on SNS. In my paper, the problems of KMS are analyzed and new KMS's requirements and paradigm changes are examined by analysis of investigation of existing KMS. KMS based on SNS is appropriate for the next generation KMS in consideration of new KMS's requirements, that is, collective intelligence, open innovation, and convergence with IT technology. So a building method of KMS based on SNS is presented by new next generation KMS's architecture, main design and knowledge-talk design.

Efficiency Analysis of Convergence Research R&D Projects by Government-funded Research Institutes: Based on Data Envelopment Analysis (정부출연연구기관의 융합연구 R&D 사업에 대한 효율성 분석: 자료포락분석(Data Envelopment Analysis)에 기초하여)

  • This study aims to make suggestions for more effective budget utilization and R&D project investment through verification of the efficiency of research results for the government's R&D projects. Efficiency was analyzed using Data Envelope Analysis(DEA) and 'Malmquist Index analysis' for the research results of convergence research projects organized by the National Science and Technology Research Association. The analysis targets were convergence research projects organized by the National Science and Technology Research Association and general entrusted research projects by government-funded research institutes, and dynamic analysis was conducted using DEA and Malmquist Index analysis. As a result of the analysis, the convergence research project showed high efficiency from the static perspective of DEA. On the other hand, from a dynamic perspective through the Malmquist Index analysis method, the efficiency of the general consignment project gradually declined, while the efficiency of the convergence research project improved every year. This suggests that convergence studies have higher results than general studies. Through the results of this study, we intend to present objective standards for performance evaluation of government R&D investment and provide objective implications for rational investment policies and research project planning of research personnel and research funds to improve efficiency for government-funded research institutes.

  • 최근, 맞춤의료서비스, 헬스와 웰빙의 복합서비스, RFID 기반의 공급망 관리 서비스와 같이 정보기술(IT), 바이오기술(BT), 나노기술(NT) 등이 융합된 혁신적인 서비스들이 출현하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 전통적인 접근방법으로는 새로이 출현하는 다양한 서비스에 대한 체계적인 접근이 불가능하다. 따라서 분석의 단위를 조직이나 정보 시스템 수준에서 서비스 수준으로 하향하는 것과 요소기술이 서비스로 변환되어 소비자에게 수용되는 전체과정을 동태적, 공학적으로 설계하는 접근이 절실히 요구된다. 본 연구의 목적은 신 기술의 출현, 성숙, 시장으로의 유입과 소비자에 수용되는 서비스 생명주기 전 과정을 통태적 관점에서 분석하는 틀을 제시하고 의료서비스에 특화 하여 서비스 공학적 관점에서 IT, BT, NT가 융합된 서비스를 설계하는 모델을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 서비스의 특성과 서비스 시스템 설계의 목표를 제시하고 동태적 혁신이론에 기반하여 서비스의 탄생부터 시장에서의 수용에 이르는 생명주기를 표현할 수 있는 모델을 개발한다. 이 모델의 시간 축을 분기하여 단계(Stage)들을 도출하고 각 단계에서 수행해야 할 활동들을 설계한다. 아울러 모델의 실제적 유용성을 입증하기 위하여 의료분야의 관련사례를 제시하고 조직의 서비스전략과 다변화 전략을 수립하기 위한 논리도 제시하였다. 본 연구의 동태적 공학모델은 IT 생태계 (IT Ecosystem) 하에서 조직 및 IT 요소들이 다양한 환경에서 어떻게 안정적이고 효율적인 메커니즘을 형성하고 진화해야 하는지를 잘 보여주고 있다.
