A Study on the operation of smart remote lecture - Focusing on Cisco Webex meeting- (스마트 원격강의 운영에 관한 연구 -시스코 웹엑스 미팅을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to lay the groundwork for the operation method for correctly operating remote lectures at universities. Among the universities that started non-face-to-face classes due to 'COVID-19', college students and graduate students from some universities who conducted remote lectures through Cisco's Webex meeting were studied on how to operate the remote lecture platform. First, the requirements for lectures for remote lectures were established through the literature survey, and effective operation measures were proposed through the survey. The research method was conducted on a total of 45 college and graduate students from April 21 to May 15, 2020. The results of the study showed that the operation plan for the basic and meeting elements. Based on this study, we expect it to be used in disaster situations or classes that may occur after COVID-19. In the future, the usability evaluation of the remote class platform and the direction in which the domestic remote lecture platform should move should be presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 전자책을 이용한 e-Learning 플랫폼을 소개한다. 이 시스템은 전자책에 대해 주석(annotation)을 추가하는 방식으로 텍스트의 부분에 대해 하이라이트, 북마크로 메모를 달거나 프리드로잉을 이용하여 설명을 달 수 있다 전자책에 추가된 하이라이트 및 북마크 등의 정보는 학생 리더 시스템에 외부 데이터로 저장되어 개인적인 학습에 사용할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 동기적인 원격 강의 방식으로 교사의 네비게이션과 액션에 따라 그 결과를 학생 터미널에 바로 보여주어 교사가 교재 화면을 칠판 대신 사용하면서 강의 내용을 전달하는 것이 가능하다. 또한 전자책에 기반한 토론을 지원하기 위해 채팅 기능을 구현하였는데, 각 문장은 전자책의 특정 위치(context)에 연결될 수 있다. 본 시스템은 전자책을 이용한 개별학습 자료의 제공 및 실시간 원격 강의를 위한 플랫폼을 제시하였으며, 자바 기반의 전자책 리더 시스템상에 구현하였다[1].

  • In the digital era, Korean universities are using real-time remote lecture platforms as a tool for learning. However, it is confusing due to low usage experience problems, and usability studies are needed. The purpose of this study is to measure, analyze, and propose gaze tracking and learning experiences according to the UI design layout of ZOOM. A total of 30 subjects were selected to conduct eye tracking and survey when learning. The experiment showed that grid layouts have a higher emotional realism and learning satisfaction than other layouts. Furthermore, it turns out that participants focused the most attention on grid layouts. Therefore, for high learning experience, grid layouts and layouts that visually highlight participants and induce communication are needed.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to examine the efficacy and future potential of a newly-emerging concept of a metaverse in online education environment. In order to achieve this goal, this paper showcases various scenes that happened in the metaverse classes using the ifland app. Through an in-depth analysis of theoretical grounds and preliminary survey findings of 32 university students, this study suggests that as students in a metaverse space are engaged in the interactive learning process and environment with an avatar that projects oneself, it can be an effective educational platform coming from the benefits of gamification and edutainment. In addition, a metaverse space provides existential encounters and hands-on experiences, which in turn increases the level of 3D learning immersion. It may overcome the shortcomings of online live streaming platforms such as Zoom or Webex that provide 2D experiences. Based on the findings, this paper further suggests a blueprint for online education suitable for the transition to a digital society.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the usages and problems of distance science learning and learner behavior analysis. This study established an Sixteen-weeks period of experimental treatment from March to June 2020, and the students who participated in the study formed a research group of 128 students in 2nd grade of their advanced classes who are attending the second semester of B university of education and taking courses in 'teaching research 1'. B university of education is singleness class that doesn't have compare group, so this study is constituted only study group. The results of the study were as follows. First, The students who took science learning remotely liked using the university's LMS system. Second, it was not efficient for the faculty member's scientific data presentation to operate smoothly in the online system. Third, it is necessary to set various educational platforms as a standardized platform. Looking at the pros and cons of various platforms may vary depending on the suitability of education, but if the LMS system, which is a professional teaching support method, is upgraded to meet the needs of learners, the satisfaction of higher instructors and learners will be higher.

  • 최근 팬데믹의 영향으로 비대면 문화가 확산하였다. 온라인 수업의 경우 시간과 공간에 구애받지 않고, 본인이 원하는 강의를 선택함으로써 학습의 질을 향상할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이에 비대면 문화가 퍼짐에 따라 교육 온라인 수업의 수요와 중요도가 증가하였다. 따라서, 기업이나 교육단체가 가지는 원격 강의 플랫폼 품질의 중요성이 크다. 온라인 학습 플랫폼 구축을 위해서는 미디어 플레이어가 필수적이다. 인터넷에서 보안의 중요성이 대두됨에 따라, 본 논문에서는 다양한 플랫폼에 적용할 수 있는 HLS 프로토콜 기반 미디어 웹 플레이어를 개발하고자 한다.

  • 인터넷과 정보 통신 기술의 발달은 컴퓨터 응용 및 컴퓨팅 환경에 상당한 변화를 가져왔으며, 여러 분야에서 이들 기술이 응용되고 있다. 고도로 발전하고 있는 정보통신 기술이 교육분야에 적용 및 활용되어 기존의 교육 패러다임에 상당한 변화를 초래함으로써, 새로운 교육형태의 교육체계 구현을 통해 교육 현장에 커다란 기여를 하고 있다. 대표적인 것이 원격교육을 비롯한 e-learning, 가상교육시스템 등이 있다. 인터넷과 컴퓨터가 보편화된 현재, 많이 연구 제안되고 구현이 되어서, 실제로 온라인 상에서 실시간 혹은 비실시간으로 학습교육시스템들이 서비스되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 많이 제안된 e-Learning시스템에 협력학습의 개념을 도입하여 교수-학습자 뿐 아니라 학습자-학습자간에 상호작용을 극대화하고, 한발 더 나아가 웹을 통하여 교수의 강의 내용을 학습자가 언제, 어디서든지 멀티미디어 데이터를 제공받아서 학습 및 평가 받을 수 있는 LOD(Lecture on Demand :주문형 강의)을 도입하여 협력학습을 지원하는 e-Learning 시스템의 LOD 플랫폼의 설계를 제안한다.

Proposal of design plan to improve immersion in online video education -Focusing on Zoom and Webex- (온라인 화상 교육 몰입도 향상을 위한 디자인 방안 제안 -줌(Zoom)과 웹엑스(Webex)를 중심으로-)

  • This study identified learners' immersion, focusing on online video education platforms, Zoom and Webex, used in colleges after the 'Covid-19', and suggested design improvement measures to improve immersion. Through prior research and literature research, the components of immersion and screen components of the online distance education platform were identified, and measures to improve immersion were suggested through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews. The research method was conducted for 5 days from April 7 to 12, 2021 for 50 college students and graduate students in their 20s and 30s who are receiving online education through Zoom and Webex, and 6 people were interviewed in-depth. As a result of the experiment, the communication between learners and lecturers was deduced as the biggest factor, so a design plan to facilitate communication between learners and lecturers was proposed based on Gutenberg's diagram. As online video education is predicted to continue even after the Covid-19, continuous online video education immersion research is needed, and we hope that it can contribute to the direction of the research.

  • 코로나 19의 확산으로 인해 온·오프라인의 경계가 희미해짐과 동시에 비대면 형태 서비스가 확산되고 있으며, 교육 분야에서도 비대면 화상 강의와 원격수업의 적용이 일상화되고 있다. 기존의 비대면 화상 강의 시스템의 경우, 피교육자 신원확인 미흡에 따른 비인가자 접근 및 교육 방해 행위가 발생하였고, 교육내용 및 보고서 등 교육자와 피교육자 간 송·수신 내용 노출의 위험성이 있으며, 대량의 트래픽 유발에 따른 수업 방해가 가능하여 보안상의 대책이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 비대면 형태의 피교육자 신원확인 미흡에 따른 비인가 접근 및 교육 방해 행위와 교육자와 피교육자 사이의 송·수신 내용의 위험성을 해결하고, 대량의 트래픽 유발에 따른 수업 방해에 대한 보안대책으로 블록체인 기반 DID 비대면 실습교육 플랫폼 설계를 제안한다.

  • This paper is to evaluate the usability of two representative video meeting services currently used by university for research to improve the quality of university remote lecture. questionnaires based on Kano Model were designed and in-depth interviews were conducted to provide qualitative approaches. Screen-sharing functions, the one-dimensional functions was the most important function. and attractive functions had relatively diverse directions. For essential functions, there was a wide gap in quality due to user-specific equipment. The function in which other platforms exist or business-related was not important. Webex reacted negatively to the aging UI, while Zoom responded negatively to the unilateral mute function. In addition, the development direction was presented in five ways as a result of analysis of these results. under Corona-19 situation, I hope this study will lead to continuous research to make stepping stone for remoted educational development.
