  • The goal of this paper is the pedagogical application of a Korean Spell/Grammar Checker to the web-based language learning system for Korean writing. To maximize the efficient instruction of our learning system \\`Urimal Baeumteo\\` we have to improve our Korean Spell/Grammar Checker. Today the NLP system\\`s performance defends on its semantic processing capability. In our Korean Spell/Grammar Checker. the tasks accomplished in the semantic level are: the detection and correction of misused derived and compound nouns in a Korean spell-checking device and the detection and correction of syntactic and semantic errors in a Korean grammars-checking device. We describe a common approach to the partial parsing using collocation rules based on the dependency grammar. To provide more detailed semantic rules. we classified nouns according to their concepts. and subcategorized verbs referring to their syntactic and semantic features. Improving a Korean Spell/Gl-Grammar Checker makes our learning system active and intelligent in a web-based environment. We acknowledge the flaws in our system: the classification of nouns based on their meanings and concepts is a time consuming task. the analytic unit of this study is principally limited to the phrases in a sentence therefore the accurate parsing of embedded sentences remains a difficult problem to solve. Concerning the web-based language learning system. it is critically important to consider its interface design and structure of its contents.

  • This study is based on prior research cases on workplace learning, which had a significant impact on corporate research. To improve problem solving and supplementing ability by keeping the opportunity to participate in workplace learning for the weak small business owners and to strengthen opportunities for practical growth, and to propose education, policy and institutional windowing. Therefore, to establish the relationship between small business owners' workplace learning, job satisfaction, and service quality, a research hypothesis was set in the background of prior research and empirical analysis was conducted. The results from 203 questionnaires were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 program. As an analytical result, first, workplace learning had a partial positive (+) impact on job satisfaction. Second, workplace learning had a partial positive (+) impact on service quality. Third, in the relationship between workplace learning and service quality, job satisfaction played a full mediating role. From this, it was found that formal learning, the subfactor of workplace learning did not have an impact on job satisfaction and service quality, as subtitle of educational environment including offsite training and self education, systematization, and structuralization depending on the poor environment of small enterprises. Therefore, it was found that small enterprises' poor environment was revealed from the managerial, economic and social perspectives and to compensate such defect, educational, policy, and institutional strategies to strengthen the opportunity for growth and development of small enterprises can be suggested to the governmental agencies or local governments. Despite the significant results of this study, there may be limitations. Therefore, further studies should be conducted in various fields with various samples in the future, and further studies should be conducted in academic and practical relationships that can improve the service quality and management performance.

  • Deep neural networks are widely used to solve various problems. In a fully connected neural network, the nonlinear activation function is a function that nonlinearly transforms the input value and outputs it. The nonlinear activation function plays an important role in solving the nonlinear problem, and various nonlinear activation functions have been studied. In this study, we propose a combined parametric activation function that can improve the performance of a fully connected neural network. Combined parametric activation functions can be created by simply adding parametric activation functions. The parametric activation function is a function that can be optimized in the direction of minimizing the loss function by applying a parameter that converts the scale and location of the activation function according to the input data. By combining the parametric activation functions, more diverse nonlinear intervals can be created, and the parameters of the parametric activation functions can be optimized in the direction of minimizing the loss function. The performance of the combined parametric activation function was tested through the MNIST classification problem and the Fashion MNIST classification problem, and as a result, it was confirmed that it has better performance than the existing nonlinear activation function and parametric activation function.

  • This study was conducted to analyze the subjective perception types of college students majoring in cooking by applying flip-learning teaching and learning methods to the subject of cooking practice to improve the educational efficiency of cooking-related classes. Also, in order to study subjective perception of small students, we tried to grasp the common structure in subjective attitude and perception using Q methodology, and the analysis resulted in four types. Type 1 (N=5): Problem solving ability effect, Type 2 (N=6): Self-directed learning effect, Type 3 (N=3): Mutual cooperation practice effect, Type 4 (N=6) ): Theory learning effect was analyzed for each unique feature type. Flip-learning is applied to cooking practice classes, which is a learner-centered education that leaves the traditional teaching method. Interest was found to have a very positive effect on learners' opinion sharing and learning outcomes. However, it was revealed that all students need to find additional solutions to problems such as the operation plan for flipped learning and the free ride evaluation method in group learning.

  • Self-directed learning in mathematics education is crucial because it enables students to think creatively and critically while continuously improving. The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of class attitude and class satisfaction in mathematics on the relationship between mathematics teacher characteristics and self-directed learning. Furthermore, the study aimed to determine whether these structural relationships differ between male and female student groups. To achieve this, the theoretical model was tested using the 9th-year data (high school 3rd grade) of the Seoul Education Longitudinal Study (SELS) 2010, comprising 2,325 students (1,187 males and 1,138 females). The results revealed that the mediating effects of mathematics class attitude and class satisfaction on the relationship between teacher characteristics in mathematics and high school students' self-directed learning were significant. At this time, the direct effect of mathematics teacher characteristics on selfdirected learning was not significant, indicating that mathematics class attitude and class satisfaction had full mediating effects. Multi-group analysis results showed no significant differences in path coefficients between male and female student groups. Based on the research findings, implications for teacher education were presented to improve high school students' self-directed learning abilities in mathematics education, focusing on the mediating effects of affective factors in the classroom.

  • A recent sharp increase of the biomedical literature causes researchers to struggle to grasp the current research trends and conduct creative studies based on the previous results. In order to alleviate their difficulties in keeping up with the latest scholarly trends, numerous attempts have been made to develop specialized analytic services that can provide direct, intuitive and formalized scholarly information by using various text mining technologies such as information extraction and event detection. This paper introduces and evaluates total 8 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) models for extracting biomedical events from academic abstracts by applying various feature utilization approaches. Also, this paper conducts performance comparison evaluation for the proposed models. As a result of the comparison, we confirmed that the Entity-Type-Fully-Connected model, one of the introduced models in the paper, showed the most promising performance (72.09% in F-score) in the event classification task while it achieved a relatively low but comparable result (21.81%) in the entire event extraction process due to the imbalance problem of the training collections and event identify model's low performance.

  • Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite and it is prevalent in all over the world. The usual method used to recognize malaria cells is a thick and thin blood smears examination methods, but this method requires a lot of manual calculation, so the efficiency and accuracy are very low as well as the lack of pathologists in impoverished country has led to high malaria mortality rates. In this paper, a malaria cell image recognition model using transfer learning is proposed, which consists in the feature extractor, the residual structure and the fully connected layers. When the pre-training parameters of the VGG-19 model are imported to the proposed model, the parameters of some convolutional layers model are frozen and the fine-tuning method is used to fit the data for the model. Also we implement another malaria cell recognition model without residual structure to compare with the proposed model. The simulation results shows that the model using the residual structure gets better performance than the other model without residual structure and the proposed model has the best accuracy of 97.33% compared to other recent papers.

  • This study examined the factors that influence creative performance in corporate collaboration projects. Specifically to facilitate team collaboration, we identified that scaffolding, which is one of the important factors in organizational learning communication, and the Boundary Objects, which are collaboration tools & vehicle, influence performance. The survey was collected for 203 employees who experienced collaborative projects, and three-step mediated regression analysis was conducted after conducting exploratory factor analysis. In other words, we examined the median effect of boundary objects on the impact of scaffolding on creative collaborative performance. Analysis showed that while the effects of the boundary objects in relation to the impact of cognitive scaffolding on creative performance were not significant, emotional scaffolding had a full-scale effect on the creative performance and also had a full-scale effect on the efficacy performance. Given these results, it is necessary to share a vision and form personal relationships among team members in order to activate them, since scaffolding is useful in organizational learning and boundary objects also have some effect as a medium for promoting collaboration in projects.
