In this study, we researched the effects of Chinese consumers' reviews, inquiries, and bargains on loyalty, and how these effects differ by gender so that Korean online sellers can take advantage of these opportunities. In order to verify the research model, a survey was conducted on Chinese consumers with online purchasing experience and 231 valid samples were collected and analyzed. As results, reviews, inquiries, and bargaining had the positive impacts on the loyalty of Chinese consumers. The impact of reviews on loyalty was higher in women, and the impact of inquiries and bargains on loyalty was higher in men. This study can help Korean online sellers effectively respond to Chinese consumers' reviews, inquiries, and bargains needs. This study, also, can help they understand and deal with the difference between the effect on reviews to women and the effect of inquiries and bargaining to men.

  • In the online shopping environment, consumers suffer from the process of selecting an optimal supplier. Although comparison shopping agent-based web sites and consumers' online community sites support the selection process, they have limitations when considering diverse and dynamic purchase conditions as a whole, which is the cause of additional consumer effort for optimal supplier selection. This study provides a decision support model with a sensitivity analysis for selecting an optimal supplier considering purchase conditions as a whole. It screens suppliers with filtering factors and provides optimal suppliers through a sensitivity analysis from a Quadratic Programming model. We implemented a prototype system and showed that it could be an effective decision support system for selecting the optimal supplier in the online shopping environment.

  • In this paper, we investigate the concept of cyber identity built in cyberspace and analyze the effects of general perception toward cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intent. Cyber identity is classified into two types: personal and social cyber identity, and has five components. Avatars and online gaming capability make up personal cyber identity while online communities and instant messenger count as social cyber identity. We regard blog personalities as having both personal and social characteristics. In our survey, we conclude that internet users want to purchase cyber items such as avatars, online game items, and wallpaper pictures to enhance their cyber identities. Based on the survey results , we derive five factors comprising personal cyber identity and social cyber identity using factor analysis and analyze overall effects of cyber identity on loyalty and purchase intention using Structural Equation Model.

  • In consequence of expansion of internet users, electronic commerce is becoming a new prototype for marketing and sales, arid most of electronic commerce sites or internet shopping malls provide a rich source of information and convenient user interfaces about the organizations customers to maintain their patrons. One of the convenient interfaces for users is service to recommend products. To do this, they must exploit methods to extract and analysis specific patterns from purchasing information, behavior and market basket about customers. The methods are association rules and sequential patterns, which are widely used to extract correlation among products, and in most of on-line electronic commerce sites are executed with users information and purchased history by category-oriented. But these can't represent the diverse correlation among products and also hardly reflect users' buying patterns precisely, since the results are simple set of relations for single purchased pattern. In this paper, we propose an efficient mining technique, which allows for multiple purchased patterns that are category-independent and have relationship among items in the linked structure of single pattern items.
