국내 인용 데이터베이스에서도 해외와 마찬가지로 저널 영향력 지수가 핵심 지표로 제공되고 있으며 저널 평가나 연구성과 평가의 기준 지표로 사용되는 경향이 확산되고 있다. 그러나 국내 저널에서는 논문이 발표된 당해년도에 인용되는 비율이 해외에 비해서 높기 때문에 이를 반영하지 않는 영향력 지수는 국내 저널에 대해서는 더 불완전한 지수라고 할 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 여러 해에 걸쳐 발행된 논문이 특정 연도에 인용된 횟수로 평가하는 저널 영향력 지수와 달리, 특정 연도에 발행된 논문이 여러 해에 걸쳐 인용된 횟수로 평가하는 통시적 영향력 지수의 개념과 산출방법을 알아보고 정보관리학회지를 대상으로 시험 측정한 결과를 살펴본다.

The importance of citation measures has been increasing in the evaluation of scholarly journals and it becomes a major issue for Korean Citation Index (KCI) journals. The Journal Impact Factor (JIF), a widely used measure for academic journals, has a problematic issue that it does not include the number of citations for a paper immediately made in the year in which the cited paper was published. On the contrary, the Diachronous Impact Factor (IMP) includes the number of citations made in the published year, but IMP is a measure for papers published a few years ago, not in the last year. It does not represent the recent value of journals effectively. To overcome these problems, Total Impact Factor (TIF) and Mean Impact Factor (MIF) are proposed as new journal citation indicators. This study calculated the performance of proposed indicators experimentally on KCI data. The result shows that TIF is a promising measure for the multidimensional evaluation of humanities and social sciences journals in Korea because it has high stability by year and includes the immediate citations of the published year.

The journal impact factor(JIF) of the Thomson Reuters(ISI) has been widely used to assess the impact of journal as well as its quality. However, the JIF contains its critical limitation, in which it does not measure the impact of journal but the average impact of articles in journal. Besides significant number of problems of the JIF has been noticed. Furthermore, given the limited coverage of domestic citation index database in comparison to those of international citation index, it is necessary to apply a more appropriate index with a high level of discriminating power. This study, therefore, aims to introduce some practical methods to measure the impact of domestic journals by using the Hirsch-type indices. As the Hirsch-type indices has been often used for overcoming the limitations of the JIF in worldwide, we hope that our research outcome offers an effective alternative to gauge the impact of journals more accurately. Consequently, using the variations of the h-index($h_s$-index, $f_s$-index) or the sum of issue level(issue based h-index, issue based f-index), we argue that it would improve the discrimination capacity of the Hirsch-type indices significantly and that we can measure the impact of domestic journals more clearly.

In order to find out the relationship between the indicator of scholarly impact and e-Journal usage in Korea, we analyzed the correlation between the usage statistics of e-Journals published by American Chemical Society, Science, Elsevier and Wiley which was licensed by KESLI consortia in 2006 and impact factor in JCR 2006. We selected 4 universities and 5 research institutes as target institutions which participated in all of the 4 consortia and had higher frequency of e-Journal usage than others. In this correlation analysis we used variables such as the subjects of journals, the types of institution, and impact factor.

최근 인용 네트워크 분석을 통해서 단일 문헌의 인용 영향력을 측정하려는 시도가 다양하게 전개되고 있다. 널리 알려진 PageRank를 보완하려는 일부 시도와 함께 h-index를 단일 문헌의 인용 영향력 측정에 적용한 단일문헌 h-index도 제안되었다. 이 연구에서는 Web of Science에서 검색한 계량정보학 분야 문헌집합을 대상으로 여러 측정 방식의 특징을 비교해본 후, 새로운 인용지수 2종을 제안하였다. 제안한 인용지수는 PageRank처럼 전역 네트워크 분석 방식인 지수 1종과 h-index처럼 지역 네트워크 분석 방식인 지수 1종으로서 상황에 따라 선택하여 사용할 수 있다.

This research suggested a new patent index based on patent citation technique using cited information, For this purpose, comparison research on library and patent information related citation database providing citation index was done. The information quality and meaning on the impact factor of JCR and the technology factor of CHI were reinterpreted. The former emphasizes the quality of continuous publication using relative citation frequency. The latter only emphasizes the information itself because it assesses the quality of patent characteristics. To overcome these difficulties, the latter re-authorized a relative quality to the organization possessing the patent using technology impact factor. Three new patent index were proposed on the basis of cited information to complement this. However, the comparative object was limited to American patent information that presented cited information of patent applied cases, and the comparison and research of domestic patent information could not be done.

최근 국내외 ESG 연구가 활발해지고 있는 가운데, ESG 연구는 급격한 양적 성장을 하고 있음에도 학술지의 질적 수준을 평가할 수 있는 계량적인 논문은 부족한 상태이다. 본 연구는 한국학술지인용색인(KCI)에서 경영학 분야 내의 KCI 인용지수를 활용하여 상위 10개의 학회를 선정하고 이들 간의 ESG 논문 인용빈도와 네트워크 분석을 하였다. 상호 인용빈도를 활용하여 연결망을 작성하고 네트워크 분석 관점에서 ESG 주제에 관한 각 학술지 간 상호인용빈도를 통해 주어진 학술지의 영향력지수(Impact Factor)와 중심성 지수를 기초하여 연구하였다. 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 학술지들이 핵심 문헌을 식별하고 학문 내 지적 구조를 규명하여 경영학 분야의 ESG 연구 동향을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구는 국내 발간된 경영학 학술지의 ESG에 대한 학술지의 영향력 인용지수를 비교해 보고 나아가 경영학 학술지의 자기 인용 비율을 확인하고 경영학뿐만 아니라 타 학문 분야에서 경영학 관련 학술지에 대한 인용이 이루어질 수 있도록 다학제적 교류와 추가 연구의 필요성을 제기하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate citation behavior in internet news to research papers of 10 domestic economic institutes and to suggest institutes' impact quantitatively with h-index and various modified indices. Content analysis of 878 news articles that collected from NAVER news site was performed. First, as citing behavior, cited numbers of research papers, preferred news media, speed, source entry accuracy, centrality, subject section, and length by the institutes were examined. Next, impact indices for institutes were calculated by cited numbers using h-index, g-index, $h_s$-index, and $g_s$-index, and the ranking of 10 research institutes were determined by each impact indices. As a result, institutes belonged to upper ranks showed little variation among the different indices. On the other hand, institutes belonged to middle and lower ranks showed variations in impact indices and experts' survey.

This study identifies the characteristics of recent citation-based indicators for assessing a single paper in the context of their co-relationships. Five predefined indicators were examined with three variants of h-index which are convened in this study; the formers are PageRank, SCEAS Rank, CCI, f-value, and single paper h-index and the latters are $h_S$-index, h1-index, and $h_S$1-index. The correlation analysis and cluster analysis were performed to group the indicators by common characteristics, after which the indicators were calculated with the dataset from KSCI DB. The results show statistical evidence that distinguishes h-index type indicators from others. The characteristics of the indicators were verified with citation frequency factors using correlation analysis. Finally, the implications for applications and further studies are discussed.

SCI(E)논문은 국가연구개발사업으로부터 도출되는 대표적 1차 산출 성과이며, R&D활동의 흐름을 파악할 수 있는 가장 중요한 지표 중 하나이다. 우리나라는 1980년대 50위권에 머물렀던 SCI(E)논문수가 1990년대를 거치면서 비약적으로 확대되었고, 최근 양적 규모 면에서는 세계 12위 수준을 유지할 만큼 괄목한 만한 성장을 이루었다. 최근 이러한 양적 확대 속에서, 논문의 질적 수준이 정체되고 있다는 문제점이 종종 거론되고 있다. 따라서 우리나라의 SCI(E)논문 성과가 가지는 질적 수준을 평가하기 위해 다양한 노력이 있어 왔다. 대표적인 SCI(E)논문의 질적 지표로 논문 피인용횟수와 저널 영향력지수가 있다. 그러나 이러한 지표는 학문 분야간 인용 특성을 반영하지 못하므로, 국내 연구자 사이에서도 다양한 순위보정영향력지수를 개발하고자 하는 시도가 있어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 그간 개발된 순위보정영향력지수를 추가적으로 보완하여, 보다 의미 있는 지표를 도출하고자 하였으며, 해당 지표를 국가연구개발사업 SCI(E)논문 성과에 적용하여 우리나라 SCI(E)논문 성과의 질적 수준을 검토하였다.
