  • Thanks to the advancement of the related technologies and equipment, today's video contents like movies, animations and soap operas are rapidly expanding their expressible cinematic imagination area. In order to fulfill the elevated visual expectations of audiences and realize exciting storytelling and fantastic world, the fusion of different techniques is actively used, and the reality for visual effects and image synthesis is increasing more and more. Accordingly, recent VFX-oriented movies using CG have a much more complicated production process than before. Therefore, the importance of Pre-visualization, aka Pre-vis is becoming bigger in the planning process for sophisticated design. Pre-vis means that the advance visualization for stories or directing ideas in the planning process before starting production of movies or animations. 3D animated Pre-visualization realizing directors' abstract and ambiguous ideas in 3 dimensional environment in advance is, as a powerful means for visual storytelling, briskly used focusing on the VFX film industry on which the present CG is broadly used, and the role of Pre-vis throughout productions has increased compared to the past. The studies, however, on the role and utility of Pre-vis are not enough. Therefore, this study was conducted on the role of Pre-vis used for present VFX movie productions using the examples of 3D animated Pre-visualization production in which the researcher of this study participated. In this study, the role of the Pre-vis that is subdivided presently, is divided into and 3D animatics and their each role is analyzed with the example images. Through this, the characteristics that Pre-vis should have are clarified and the concept of the advantages and utility led by the use of Pre-vis in productions is strengthened. The goal of this study is to induce active uses of Pre-vis throughout productions after forming consensus about the various roles of Pre-vis and their utility.

  • This study is an intensive study on Tae Rin Lee's research results. A linear system for Estimating the Strength of Super Personal Conflict (ESSPC) in animations is proposed. Tae Rin Lee has extracted the Super Personal Conflict (SPC) shots of animations, and obtained the strength through the experts' psychological test experiment. The purpose of this study is to find a model that automatically computes the superpersonal conflict intensity value (ESSPC). By utilizing these results, 1) 20 image feature vectors are suggested for analyzing the SPC, and 2) a linear system is found for auto-calculating ESSPC by using the pseudo inverse matrix. The proposed system shows 9.25% root mean square error and the effectiveness is proven.

This thesis aims to reflect the meaning, various visual expressions and the lifestyle of Ethics Character Picture of filial piety and brotherly love, which is a unique genre of popular arts. Also, propose to suggest about the kinetic typography using video media, and how the traditional ethics character picture, which are combined with video technology, effects to the advertisements. These kind of attempts will show the world about the korea's traditional contents, and through the various media information it can be recreated as national symbolic key words. Furthermore, its meaningful to pass down the noble and cultural Ethics Character Picture of filial piety and brotherly love to younger generations. • Animation in Taiwan has been profoundly influenced by the production of labor intensity for American and Japanese in the early days of its development. This phenomenon of the labor intensity reached peak in the 1980s. Information Bureau of Taiwan began to establish a system of supportive funding for its animation industry in the 1990s. During this period, the animation industry in Taiwan gave special emphasis to the theme of the local culture and to the creative works of the animation. By the 2010s, the elements of Chinese culture were introduced in the animation production in Taiwan. Through cross-national cooperation in production with other advanced countries, the Taiwan-made animation was successfully expended to the international market. However, the animation industry in Taiwan is facing the following problematical challenges: Firstly, the Taiwan government gives special attention to the financial support of animation industry rather than training university students to become professional experts in animation production. Secondly, there is no professional higher institution established to train specialized professional animation film-makers. Thirdly, Due to the lack of the cultural inspiration and the original mind, the form of its creative animated production is primarily imitated from other advanced countries. And fourthly, despite the fact that there is a cooperation and exchange programs between Taiwan and other foreign animation industries.

  • Augmented reality makes people feel realistic and reduces the damage to cultural properties that can come into contact with the actual cultural heritage. Augmented reality has the advantage that it can show the past appearance of the historical building or relics, the environment, or related information in addition to the current real environment. Despite these values and advantages, As a result of researches and analyzes of the Augmented Reality contents of the National Museum, 'palace in my hand', and the Miruksa project In the field of domestic cultural heritage warriors, augmented reality technology has shown a very negative attitude such as simply showing cultural heritage content or using it as a guide. However, various conditions such as display and sensor hardware and technology needed to realize augmented reality more effectively are improving day by day. And If you have various facilities such as the idea of adding storytelling to the exhibits and WiFi building, In the near future, it will be equipped with a display system of cultural heritage contents that combines augmented reality with a more complete one.

  • 'Video Commerce' has grown significantly, and is in the era of so-called V-commerce 2.0. Based on this background, this study focused on the link and the possibility of creating synergy between V-commerce 2.0 content and MCN, and examined the linkage strategy considering its characteristics. In conclusion, first, V-Commerce has evolved into the age of 2.0, centered on the characteristics of content that are oriented towards fun and sympathy, beyond the 1.0 era. Second, V-commerce 2.0 content has the characteristic of replacing the sharing and recommendation based on the nature of SNS networks as promotion and purchase enhancement. Therefore, competitiveness as 'content' is relatively important before 'commerce'. Third, V-commerce 2.0 and MCN industry have a strong connection with each other in terms of securing core competitiveness and creating a new profit model. In order to create the synergy between V-Commerce 2.0 and MCN, we proposed the use of big data to reinforce V-Commerce 2.0 customized content competitiveness, building of storytelling marketing and branding, and enhancement of live performance and interactive communication.

  • This study examines motivations for international students to study abroad at Korean universities. Employing qualitative and mixed methods, this study used grounded theory to analyse data obtained from student interviews, essays, digital storytelling videos, and student video representations to explicate the nature of study of six subjects. All subjects were enrolled in English Education courses during years 2014-2017. The researcher was the course instructor. Results from this study revealed that major codes that emerged from data analyses were those of economics, culture, language study, and personal development, corroborating with findings of most research literature regarding international students' motivations (OUSO, 2015). However, survey of professional literature and study data showed that motivational codes presented in the literature and this study, were discursive in nature in that each code was not only connected to all other codes, but also mutually co-constructive. As such, this study suggests that motivational codes found in study abroad literature were discursive in nature, resembling Bourdieu's (1991) theory of economic, social, and cultural capitals. Results of this study suggest that various motivations for studying abroad are subsumed under economic logic of expense and career development.
