수직응고 시스템에서 밀도차와 냉각률이 열전달 및 열응력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Density Change and Cooling Rate on Heat Transfer and Thermal Stress During Vertical Solidification Process)

  • Numerical analysis of vertical solidification process allowing solid-liquid density change is performed by a hybrid method between a winite volume method (FVM) and a finite element method (FEM). The investigation focuses on the influence of solid-liquid density change and cooling rates on the motion of solid-liquid interface, solidified mass fraction, temperatures and thermal stresses in the solid region. Due to the density change of pure aluminium, solid-liquid interface moves more slowly but the solidified mass fraction is larger. The cooling rate of the wall is shown to have a significant influence on the phase change heat transfer and thermal stresses, while the density change has a small influence on the motion of the interface, solidified mass fraction, temperature distributions and thermal stresses. As the cooling rate increases, the thermal stresses become higher at the early stage of a solidification process, but it has small influence on the final stresses as the steady state is reached.

  • 합섬필라멘트 사는 직물제조 공정을 거치는 동안 수많은 장력과 열처리를 받게 된다. 이러한 장력과 열처리는 열수축과 열응력을 발생시킴으로서 최종 제품의 물성에 큰 영향$^{1)}$ 을 미치며 경사줄 발생의 원인이 되기도 하여 제품의 상품적 quality를 떨어뜨린다 이런 합섬직물의 경사줄 발생은 우선 원사물성 data에 대한 지식부족으로 인해 그 다음 공정인 제직준비, 제직, 염색ㆍ가공공정에서의 미비한 공정관리로 발생할 소지가 크므로 본 연구에서는 지금까지 본 연구실에서 계속해온 연구결과$^{2)~6)}$를 바탕으로 국내 7개 회사의 PET SDY 75d/36f의 습ㆍ건열 수축률, 열응력에 관한 cheese layer간의 편차를 조사 분석하므로서 경사줄 발생을 줄이기 위한 원사의 기본 물성 data를 기업에 제공함을 목적으로 한다.   • This paper deals with finite element analyses of residual stresses causing popping up which are induced in micromachining processes of a mcroaccelerometers. After heating the tunnel gap up to 100 degree and get it through the cooling process and the additional bean up to 80 degree and get is through the cooling process. We learn the thermal internal stress of each shape and compare the results with each other after heating the tunnel gap up to 400 degree during the Pt deposition process. We want to seek after the real cause of this pop up phenomenon and diminish this by change manufacturing processes of microaccelerometer by electrostatic force.

부분 열유동이 있는 접합 경계면균열의 열응력세기계수 결정 (Thermal Stress Intensity Factors for Partially Insulated Interface Crack under Uniform Heat Flow)

  • Hilbert problems are derived to evaluate thermal stress intensity factors for a partially insulated crack subjected to vertically uniform heat flow in infinite bonded dissimilar materials. In case of fully insulated crack surface, the present solutions of thermal stress intensity factors are reduced into the same as the previous results. For the homogeneous material, mode II thermal stress intensity factor only exists. However, in the bonded dissimilar materials, both mode I and II thermal stress intensity factors are obtained. Specially, in this case, mode II thermal stress intensity factor is dominent. Also, thermal stress intensity factors are strongly influenced by the material properties. Thermal stress intensity factors decrease when the degree of insulation decreases.

차량용 라디에이터의 열 해석 (Thermal Analysis of Vehicle Radiator)

  • This study analyzes the thermal stress at automotive radiators on steady and transient states. The maximum displacement is shown at the lower corner of upper tank with the value of 0.51mm. The displacement becomes smaller at the center of radiator and it becomes larger at this edge. The maximum thermal stress with the value of 62 MPa is shown at the contact between upper tank and cooling plate. Thermal maximum stress with the transient state at the elapsed time of 10 second is lower than that at steady state as much as 0.7%.

  • An attempt is made to develop a kind of hybrid numerical method for computations of the thermal stresses during a solidification process. In this algorithm, the phase-change heat transfer analysis is perrformed by a finite volume method(FVM) and the thermal stress analysis in a solidifying body by a finite element method(FEM). The temperatures at the grid points calculated in the heat transfer analysis are transferred to those of gauss points in elements by a bi-cubic surface patch technique for the thermal stress analysis. A hyperbolic-sine constitutive law is used to prescribe the inelastic strain rate of material. Results for the unidirectional solidification process of a pure aluminum are compared with those of others and shows good agreement.

  • 본 연구는 Moss형 LNG선박의 방열구조에서 LNG탱크에 침입하는 열량과 선체의 온도분포를 예측하고, 운항 중 LNG탱크를 Cooling down(예냉)하는 경우 발생하는 비정상상태에서 LNG탱크에 발생하는 국부적인 열응력을 검토할 수 있는 비정상 온도분포해석과 LNG증발량을 검토하였다. 특히 운항 중인 선박을 대상으로 일반적인 수치계산시에 필요한 각종 입력절차를 간소화 하고 경계조건 선정시에 비 전문가도 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 전산프로그램을 개발하였다. Moss형 LNG탱크의 예냉작업에 필요한 최적의 냉매량과 예냉조건을 비정상상태에서 해석한 것은 설계자 및 선박 운항자에게 유용하게 이용될 것이다.

  • To prevent the damage of glass lens molds and deterioration of glass lenses using in progressive GMP process, a thermal stress and a deformation of the glass lens molds at forming temperature should be considered in the design step. In this study, as a fundamental study to develop a multi cavity mold used in an aspheric glass lens molding, a heat transfer and a thermal stress analysis were carried out for the case of one cavity glass lens mold used in progressive GMP process. Finally, using analysis results, we estimated the thermal stress in a glass lens mold and predicted a modified height of guide ring that determines the forming height of a glass lens.

  • Analytical solutions for the transient temperature and quasi-static thermal stresses which arise in thin plates subjected to an instantaneous point source of heat have been investigated. And the solutions have been extended to the case of a moving source of heat with the aid of the Duhamel's superposition integral. For finite disk an experiment was conducted, the measured temperature histories show a good agreement with the theoretical temperature histories, And the histories of thermal stresses show a good qualitative agreement with the physical phenomena. And also we can find out that the maximum temperature and thermal stresses and their location can be estimated by using the solutions for infinite plates instead of the solutions for a finite plate. The solutions can be used for the problems such as a welding or line heating in a hull construction.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a numerical method for analyzing the transient heat transfer and evaluating the residual stress. The analysis of heat transfer and thermal stress are carried out by three-dimensional finite element method. Thermal spraying is one of the most common surface coating techniques to be used for many applications. In order to improve the mechanical properties of flame-sprayed ceramic coating layer, the accurate and effective analysis of heat transfer and thermal stress is essentially required.
