This paper examines the effect of patriarchal family on female delinquency from the perspective of power-control theory, employing various measures for testing the theory. Extending power-control theory, this study measures the concept of 'patriarchal anomie' which implies the situation where girls' progressive views on gender role are in conflict with parents' patriarchal values. In addition, the mediating effects of the delinquent associations and the parental supervision are investigated. The results generally show that a series of variables on patriarchal family have statistically significant effects on female delinquency. Specifically, the variables for patriarchal family measured in terms of parents' occupation and education level significantly decrease female delinquency. This study also finds that girls with patriarchal attitudes are less likely to be delinquent. However, girls with progressive views on gender role living with patriarchal parents are more likely to be delinquent. This study finds that the deterrent effects of patriarchal family as well as the facilitating effect of patriarchal anomie are mediated by delinquent association. And it reports that the variable of patriarchal family measured by parents' occupation decreases female delinquency through parental supervision.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of family environment and individual psychological variables on adolescent's problem behaviors. The subjects of this study were 855 students of middle school who reside in Seoul and 791 self-reported questionnaires were used for final analysis. The major results of this study were as follows: First, gender differences in adolescent's problem behaviors were not found. Second, depression, mother's monitoring and father's parenting behavior were found to have effects on adolescents' problem behaviors. Particularly, male adolescents' problem behaviors were influenced by depression and father's parenting behavior. Female adolescents' problem behaviors were influenced by depression, father's monitoring, and mother's monitoring.

본 연구는 다문화청소년패널 6차년도 데이터를 활용하여 다문화청소년의 진로장벽과 사회적위축이 성취동기를 매개로 진로결정성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 규명하고자 한다. 분석대상은 다문화청소년 1,283명이다. 주요 분석변수는 독립변수로 진로장벽, 사회적위축, 매개변수로 성취동기, 종속변수로 진로결정성을 분석할 것이다. 이러한 자료분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0을 사용할 것이다.

This research examines the relation of dissatisfaction about own real conditions, deviant labeling, self-esteem, abuse from parent, victimization and juvenile delinquency(smoking, drinking, run-away, assault, taking away stuffs or money, larceny). The evidence of a strong relation of these factors and girls' delinquency is well known through empirical researches by feminist criminologists. Feminist criminology had attention to the gender-specific factors that could explain girls' delinquency. Most of conventional delinquency theories, such as social bond theory, differential association theory, focused on bad boys' deviant behaviors. These theories has not been designed to apply to girls' troubles. According to the conclusion of the research, there seems to support researches of feministic perspectives.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that affect eating disorder of female adolescents. Collecting data from 297 female adolescents, we carried out logistice regression on SPSS Win 20.0. The significant predictors of eating disorder for female adolescents were BMI, body-shape satisfaction, subjective body-fatness, experience weight control (diet control and exercise), self-control, and body esteem. The results of this study may help to design a school health nursing program which treats female adolescents eating disorder.

Objectives : The purpose of the present study was to investigate the gender differences in behavior problems and social competences of Korean Adolescents. Methods : K-YSR (Korean-YSR) data from 6570 Korean adolescents (2549 boys and 4021 girls) and K-CBCL (Korean-CBCL) data from 2373 parents (boys 1173 and girls 1200) between the ages of 12 to 17 were analysed. Results : The results showed that boys reported higher mean scale scores on the Social Problems, Delinquent Behavior, whereas girls showed higher mean scale scores on the Withdrawn, Somatic Complaints, Anxious/Depressed and Aggressive Behaviors as well as Internalizing Problems and Total Behavior Problems in K-YSR. Girls also reported higher scores on the Social. as well as Total Competence Scale. Also parents reported higher mean scale scores on the Attention Problems, Delinquent Behavior in their boys, whereas reported higher mean scale scores on the Withdrawn, Somatic Complaints, Anxious/Depressed and Aggressive Behaviors as well as Internalizing Problems in their girls in K-CBCL. Parents reported no differences between boys and girls in social competence scales. Conclusion : In both K-YSR and K-CBCL, girls consistently showed higher scores in the Internalizing Problem scales and there was no significant difference between boys and girls in the Externalizing Problem scores, but girls showed higher mean score in the Aggressive Behavior scale.

The objective of this study was to investigate the problem behavior and its convergent factors in out-of-school adolescents, with a focus on gender differences. This study was a secondary data analysis study using out-of-school adolescents research data at Busan women and family development institute. The study was conducted in a total of 499 out-of-school adolescents (337 males, 162 females). The type of the 8 problem behaviors (run away from home, drop out, prostitution, violence, internet game addiction, theft, drug addiction, and smoking) were identified. The collected data were analyzed with multiple logistic regression. Among the problem behaviors of the participants, internet game addiction and theft were more significantly high in male out-of-school adolescents than female out-of-school adolescents. In internet game addiction, male out-of-school adolescents were 1.90 times higher than female out-of-school adolescents (p=.008, 95% CI=1.18-3.06). In theft, male out-of-school adolescents were 1.92 times higher than female out-of-school adolescents (p=.006, 95% CI=1.21-3.03). When the social measures were provided for those adolescents, a distinguished approach is required depending on the problem behavior and gender.

This study examined the effect of female adolescent's the victimization experience of sexual assault to suicidal ideation. Futhermore, defined the moderation effects of parent-adolescent TSL communication in associations between the victimization experience of sexual assault and suicidal ideation. Participants were 1,032, South Korea middle and high school Female students in a national community sample. Data was analyzed by multiple-regression analysis with SPSS 18.0. The results indicates that the victimization experience of sexual assault was 16.2%. There is a positive relationship between victimization experience of sexual assault and suicidal ideation. Also, parent-adolescent TSL communication had a moderating effect of protection factor between sexual assault and suicidal ideation. Result show, the solution for prevention on sexual assault of adolescent is to open the discussion regarding the solution and improvement of family function in order to reduce the frequency of suicidal ideation.
