  • This study focused on the sex culture and the sexual rights of women, examining the gender-role stereotype that is related to the protection of the sexual rights of female college students and identifying the influence of self- esteem. The research was conducted on gender-role stereotypes, sexual assertiveness, and self-esteem among female university students attending four-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Four hundred eighty-two copies were used for analysis. The Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to identify the correlation between the variables. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify the mediated effects of self-esteem in the effects of gender-role stereotypes on sexual assertiveness. The Sobel test was conducted to confirm that the effects were statistically significant. The results of this study were as follows. First, the gender-role stereotype had negative correlations with self-esteem and sexual assertiveness. Self-esteem had positive correlations with sexual assertiveness. Second, self-esteem was found to be a partial mediating factor when the gender-role stereotype had a statistically significant effect on sexual assertiveness. Therefore, a coping strategy under the influence of the gender-role stereotype is necessary for improving the sexual assertiveness skill of female students. This study also suggests the need for sex role-related education programs or counseling on self-esteem.

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate the mediating effect of grit on the relationship between leisure sport participation and academic efficacy/peer relationship of senior elementary school students. For this purpose, we analyzed the data of 2,437 fourth-grade elementary school students derived from the 2nd years of the Korean Children and Panel Survey(KCYPS, 2018). Structural Equation Modelling(SEM) were conducted through PASW Statistics 18 and AMOS Graphics 18 programs. The main results were as follows. First, grit fully mediated the association between leisure sport participation and academic efficacy. Second, the relationship between leisure sport participation and peer relationship was partially mediated by grit. The conclusion we could draw from these results was that participating in leisure sport with sweating intensity had a positive effect on the grit of senior elementary school students, which in turn had a positive effect on academic efficacy and peer relationship. Finally, we discussed the implications of leisure sport participation for senior elementary school students.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of the fear of compassion and the difficulties of emotional regulation on the relationship between attachment trauma and interpersonal problems. The participants in this study were 296 Korean university students. The participants completed self-report questionnaires that assessed their attachment trauma, fear of compassion, emotional regulation difficulties, and interpersonal problems. Those with high attachment trauma had significantly more interpersonal problems, fear of compassion from others, fear of self-compassion, and emotional regulation difficulties than those with low attachment trauma. Further, fear of compassion and difficulties in emotional regulation were shown to fully mediate and fully dual-mediate the relationship between attachment trauma and interpersonal problems. These findings suggest that attachment trauma affects the degree to which university students experience interpersonal problems and that fear of compassion and emotional regulation difficulties may be the mechanism underlying that relationship. This paper discusses several limitations of this study and areas for future research.

Of the 25 subjects, 10 subjects in the experimental group, 10 subjects in the control group, and 5 subjects in the preliminary group were randomly assigned and analyzed as final study subjects. The experimental group performed 10 sessions of music psychotherapy applying IFS twice a week for 90 minutes, and the control group did not receive any treatment. As a result of data analysis, first, it was confirmed that there was a difference between the experimental group and the control group in the change patterns according to the measurement period of overall depression and the sub-factors, depressive emotion, interpersonal emotion, and physical depression score. Second, the effects were statistically significant on overall self-esteem and sub-factors such as self-deprecation, relationship with others, leadership and popularity, assertion and anxiety. • As an effort to further extend the existing understanding on the Psychology of Working Theory, this study examined gender differences in the paths to the attainment of decent work with Korean emerging adults. A total of 311 South Korean employees (mean age = 25.96, men = 94, women = 217) completed online questionnaires. We found that economic constraints inversely predicted work volition and career adaptability, which were positively relatedin turn, led to decent work. The overall indirect effect of work volition and career adaptability between economic constraints and decent work was significant., hHowever, the specific indirect effect of work volition and career adaptability was not significant. Further analyses showed a gender difference in the paths. Specifically, economic constraint was significantly negatively associated with work volition, and work volition predicted decent work only for women, but not for men. Moreover, economic constraint was significantly inversely associated with career adaptability, and career adaptability positively predicted decent work only for men, but not for women. Work volition mediated between economic constraints and decent work for women, while career adaptability had a mediating effect for men. It suggests that career resources for obtaining a decent work may be distinctive by genderdifferent groups.

The subjects were five divorced fathers who had not remarried and had been raising their children on their own. This qualitative case study involved data collect through in-depth interviews. The inter-case analyses derived two topics, five categories, and 17 concepts related to the issues of interest. The results indicated, that, first, there was "psychological confusion in the early stages of parenting" because of the sudden onset of this responsibility after divorce. Second, in the parenting experience, the fathers felt that "family survival was at stake". Third the support systems that the fathers had in raising single parent families were "social resources" made available through workplaces, acquaintances, institutions, and the government. Such systems also took the form of "family resources" including brothers and parents. An "internal resource" was the presence of children along with psychological sources of support, such as responsibility and the satisfaction experienced by the fathers through parenting. This study, uncovered the reality, resources, and support systems of fathers in single families. It is meaningful in that it will serve as a basis for supporting practical measures and educational interventions for fathers in single-parent households.
