실업계 고등학교는 산업계에 우수한 기능인력을 양성 공급하여 국가의 경제 발전에 그 동안 크게 이바지하여 왔다. 그러나 지식기반 사회의 도래에 따른 직업세계의 변화, 국민소득 향상과 핵가족화로 인한 고등교육에 대한 욕구 증대 등 제반 사회 환경의 변화로 인하여 최근 들어 진학위주의 교육풍토가 조성되면서 새로운 변화에 직면하고 있다. 해마다 진학을 희망하는 학생 수는 증가하고 있고, 대학 입시유형은 다양하고 복잡해지는데 비해 실업계 고등학교의 현실은 한 두 명의 진학담당 교사에 의해서 대부분의 업무가 처리되고 있다. 진학을 희망하는 학생들을 조사하여 진학관련 자료를 별도로 작성한 후 상담을 할 경우 일일이 찾아야 하는 불편함과 한 학생이 여러 대학을 지원할 수 있기 때문에 상담 시 많은 시간이 소요되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 보다 효율적이고 체계적으로 진학지도에 도움이 될 수 있도록 웹을 기반으로 한 진학 정보 시스템을 설계 구현하였다.

광주공업고등학교 광정보기술과는 국내 실업계 고등학교에서는 유일하게 특성화학과로 개편하여 교육청 지원 하에 광기능인력을 양성하고 있는 곳이다. 이곳에서는 정밀광학·광전자·광통신 등 크게 3가지 분야에 대한 특화교육을 통해 국내에서 유일하게 광학기능사와 통신선로기능사를 배출하고 있다. 또한 학교 창업동아리 활동을 통해 광케이블 송수신장비를 연결하는 광점프코드를 창업아이템으로 삼아 조만간 사업자등록을 내고 본격 사업화에도 학교가 직접나서는‘학교기업’을 추진하는 등 활발한 활동으로 주목을 받고 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to compare and analyze on the result of academic motivation and achievement between two groups in order to certify the application possibility of the cooperative learning method in computer education, and on these research results this paper is to propose the profitable learning and teaching method to the teachers in the class of the computer department and to contribute the improvement of the academic motivation and achievement in computer education of the vocational high school's students. As a result, the post-test average score of academic motivation and achievement in experimental group appeared to be significantly higher than that of the comparative group. And that result is accepted as statistical in significance level p<.001

In this study we try to design and develop a mixed model of project-based learning with internet. In order to support the developed model, we separately developed a web-based tool, called Project Learning BBS. The classroom teaching for advertisement-photo production with the model has been carried out during May-July in 2002 and March-July in 2003 respectively with 40 students each. The overall activities of group collaborative work done during the teaching periods have been formatively evaluated with classroom observation, interviews and students' portfolios that were related to the processes of photo planning, video shooting and editing. It has also investigated how the students involved the web-based group discussion activities. In short, data analysis indicated that the participants accepted the proposed project-based learning model for their learning events in a positive way in order to increase the utilization of CMC.

The purpose of this study was to develop the hiring and retraining program for interior design teaching staffs of vocational high school. The survey has been made by interviewing 12 teachers from 2 vocational high school. The major finding of this stuffy are as follows; First, it is found that newly hired interior design teaching staffs are required to have interior design majors in university and minimum 1 year field experience. In case of having no field experience, it is required for them either to have an interior design associated certificates or to pass certain field test. Second, the retraining program should include drafting, perspective and rendering, architectural and interior materials, architectural structure, space and interior design, furniture design and fabrication, CAD, interior construction, housing and interior design in general. Third, the retraining program will be total 255 hours program. The number of hours for each specific subject are varied perpending on subject, For example, 15 hours an allocated for drafting and 60 hours for CAD.

This paper is about a development of effective practice subject in electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school. This paper introduces generally about the practice subject in electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school of the 7th National curriculum and presents problem of current practice and makes an alternative idea that improve current practice. The contents of current electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school have variety topics and these topics are independence and separated. So students have some problems to apply of learned knowledge. Therefore, researcher improved the various electronic circuit practice in current electronic circuit text book and added new practice and manufactured a electronic circuit module based on these circuits. And researcher suggested new practice subject what useful electronic equipment that assembled module of result of electronic circuit practice of each section. When the last subjects are accomplished the students may have feel of achievement and high study effect from these practice. The practice subjects of this paper were manufactured after verification and tested it's performance by computer simulation program.

Since the 7th educational renovation was established, ICT has emerged as an indispensable tool for teaching a variety of subjects in technical high schools. This paper develops the model for explaining the factors affecting the use of web contents as a mode for studying Electronic subject. Based on data collected from a questionnaire survey from the students who studied the Electronic subject using web contents, a following conclusion is provided: the perceived usefulness, ease of use and the playfulness significantly affect the level of satisfaction, but the design of contents, image, quality, attitude as well as self-efficacy only indirectly affect the satisfaction level. This result might provide the useful guidelines for designing the web-contents for technical high school students.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the STS program on vocational high school students' science-related attitudes. In order to examine, we selected the content of instructions at the Earth Science content in the "Common Science" and applied the STS program for one year to the second grade students of six classes (N = 318) in a girls high school located in Kumi City, Kyungpook, Korea. For this study, we developed the instructional methods and then applied to the STS program. The result of this study revealed that the STS program on students' science achievement and attitudes were effective.

In this paper, we analyzed the use of computer games relating their scholastic achievements and behaviors of the first and second grade boy students in vocational high schools. The analysis based on the location of schools turned out to be meaningful because computer games seemed to deteriorate urban students' school grades more than those of the rural students. However, another analysis based on types of schools such as agricultural, technical, and commercial schools did not show any meaningful differences in their GPA(Grade Point Average). It was analyzed that such items in the given questionnaire as whether or not computer games made them less attentive to their classes, whether or not games made them put off their stud? and work, and whether or not they played computer games even during their exam periods had no meaningful results. Besides, it seemed that there was no connection between how well one plays computer games and how well he or she does at school work did not seem to be correlated. In short, most of the subjects seemed to enjoy computer games regardless of their scholastic achievements.

To achieve this objective, practical problem-teaching lesson plans and instructor-led teaching and learning plans were developed and integrated into the Technology Home Economics, and Human Development curricula at both academic and vocational high schools. The impact of these plans was examined, as were connections between the teaching methods and types of schools. As part of this study, a survey was conducted on 1,263 students in 46 classes at 6 randomly selected high schools: 4 academic and 2 vocational. A total of 9 teachers conducted classes for both experimental and comparative groups between October 2009 and November 2010. Pre- and post-tests were used to study the impact of the lessons on the experimental and comparative groups. In terms of data analysis and statistics processing, this study implemented mean and standard deviations, t-test, and analysis of covariance using the SPSS 12.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. The practical problem-teaching lessons produced more positive results in the students than the instructor-led lessons, in terms of their image of the elderly, their level of knowledge about them, their understanding of their need for welfare services, and preparation for Successful aging. When comparing the results by type of school, the experimental groups at academic high schools appeared to have a more positive image and better understanding of the elderly and their need for welfare services, and were better prepared for Successful aging than during their previous lessons. They also showed an increase in independence from their children in aging. As for the comparative groups, students at academic high schools showed an increase in preparation for Successful aging compared to the previous lessons. Finally, as for future research on preparation for aging in high schools, more schools should include this subject in their regular curriculum for Technology Home Economics, Human Development and Home Economics in order to generalize the results, and they need to evaluate the content. Additionally, this study suggests that new high school curricula should include lessons on preparation for aging so that students can deal successfully with our aging society.
