Analysis of Teaching Practice Field of Current Early Childhood Education Students (유아교육과 재학생의 교육실습 실태 분석)

  • This study investigated the teaching practice of students attending a three-year early childhood education course in K City, Gyeonggi Province, as well as the educational environments of 72 kindergartens and child care centers where they received field training and which were located in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Incheon Metropolitan City, Bucheon, and Ilsan. After four weeks of teaching practice, those prospective teachers were surveyed for their objective opinions and current state regarding the practice guidance for students, teachers' working hours and wages, and female dominance in number among early childhood educators and heads of early childhood education institutions. Those data were collected to understand the operations of early childhood education institutions and the current teaching practice. According to the analysis results, the students of the early childhood education major said the four-week teaching practice was very helpful for them to understand the field and thus had positive receptions of it. Most of the prospective teachers felt the heaviest burden and experienced the biggest shortcomings in practical skills such as music, art, and hand play during class. They also felt a partial need for male counterparts. Those findings will help prospective teachers understand the field further before going out on the field and the teaching bodies have specific ideas about what kind of guidance is provided by kindergartens or child care centers. In addition, they will hopefully serve as basic data to form organic connections between the educational institutions and the field to produce more talented early childhood education teachers.

A Qualitative Study on the Counseling Practice of Students with Majoring in Addiction (중독연계전공 학생들의 상담실습에 관한 질적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the experience of practitioners who completed the counseling practice in addiction organizations and to suggest the direction of effective counseling practice for students in interdisciplinary program of addiction majors. For this purpose, we provided the counseling training to two addiction treatment institutions and conducted the interviews with 16 students who participated the counseling practice at the institute and then analyzed the data qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the counseling practitioners experienced fear and prejudice against addicts, prejudice against addicts, change of illness, severity and risk of addiction, career expectation in addiction area, and reality of addiction. Also, the significance of the counseling practice was to give an important lesson in establishing the attitude of self - reflection and the identity of addiction counselor. In the discussion, a systematic management plan of counseling practice in the addiction field was suggested based on the derived topic.

  • In this study, the effect of field practice on the career exploration of college students was analyzed and the effect of adjusting the psychological variable, enterprising, was tested. To this end, the survey was conducted on university students who participated in the field practice. An analysis of 193 data showed that the effectiveness of field practice and the suitability of field practice companies were factors that increased the ability of college students to explore their career path. In addition, individual initiative was analyzed as a parameter, which strengthens the effectiveness of the practice and the suitability of the practical company on the ability of the career exploration. Universities should find quality practice companies and maintain the right field practice, and need to come up with pre-education programs that can improve career-related psychological capabilities.

  • This study is qualitative research with an aim of assessing experience of prospective social work student enrolled in social welfare field practice during COVID-19 pandemic. The results are shown below. First, the major negative answers of responders were the work-study imbalance of the student, the institution's concern for spread of infection, limited experience due to low-quality-of supervision, the difficulty on choosing institution, and worries on stop of practice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, the key positive answers of responders were awareness of true meaning of social welfare, a major of them, significance of field practice, importance of human rights in their field, and finally, dearness of rapport building between social workers and clients in social welfare practice settings.

Effects of Social Work Field Practicum Related Factors on Empowerment of Students Majoring in Social Welfare (사회복지현장실습 관련 요인이 사회복지전공학생들의 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is examine the effect of social work field practicum related factors on empowerment of students majoring in social welfare. For this purpose, a survey of the university students with completing social work field practicum was conducted and data was analyzed. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The empowerment level of the students with completing social work field practicum is 3.71. Multiple regression analysis was conducted for each sector by dividing the factors related to the social welfare field practicums affecting the empowerment into individual factors, practical institutional factors, and school factors. Degrees of practice(${\beta}=.123$, t=2.405, p<.05), the satisfaction level of the supervisor(${\beta}=.176$, t = 2.446, p <.05), the lecture satisfaction level of the practicum(${\beta}=.229$, t=4.018, p<.001) were found to affect the empowerment in each sector. But in final analysis with all factors have been concerned, the lecture satisfaction level of the practicum(${\beta}=.257$, t=4.495, p<.001) had a positive effect on the empowerment. Based on these results, implications for research and practice were discussed.

  • This study aimed to analyze the issues on practical training programs at public libraries and propose alternative strategies for them. This study discusses the theoretical bases of providing practical training programs with the recent change in curriculums of library and information studies. It also explores the current status of both practical training program courses offered by the departments of library and information science in Korea, and the operation of programs managed by 42 public libraries. This study categorizes the programs into three types, including basic task type, participatory type, and proactive type, and examines the characteristics of each type. Furthermore, it researches a case of the cooperative public library practice program, which S public library and C University jointly conduct, and analyzes students and librarians' needs who participated in the program. As a result, the study identifies all the parties' challenges and provide a gradual development strategies for the program.

  • Current]y, the lack of equipments for the medical practice and education made it impossible for the people in medical institution to carry out suitable experiments for observing human bodies. In this paper, the authors embodied three dimensional images and moving pictures for the human skeletal structure, digestive organs and their processes over the internet framework. The three dimensional images and moving picture made it possible for the general people as well as the specialists to observe and obtain informations with regard to the human body. Especially, the authors realized a framework for visualizing the human bodies in three dimensional images, via which a detailed and realistic architecture for the human body and its organs can be obtained. The system developed in this Paper can be used in the practice and education of the people engaged in medical fields.

  • 본 연구는 치위생과 재학생들의 교외 임상실습과정에서 느끼는 스트레스를 파악하고 이를 관리하는 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초자료로 사용하고자 실시하였다. 대구 경북지역 치위생과 재학생을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하여 전공만족도와 실습기관의 유형이 임상실습 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 치과환경에 학생들의 스트레스를 대처할 수 있는 대처방안의 개발이 필요할 것이라 사료된다.

  • In this study was carried out on the proper number of cadets and the improvement of educational environment that can ensure effective practice on board a training ship. In doing this research, basic data had been obtained from some of the written interviews done with some apprentices and instructors on education, and survey findings on the dimensions of the training facilities and areas available to apprentice in the current training ships. The concepts of ergonomics have been adapted to this study also, in order to increase its reliability. On the basis of what has been discussed just above, we have suggested a navigation integrity consol for deck apprentices and a training room for the operation and maintenance of shipboard machinery for engine apprentices, together with providing a suitable number of cadets that can be accommodated for practice altogether in a given situation.
