  • Mobile phones users are not only able to use smart phone services in real time whenever and wherever they desire, but also they can acquire appropriate information that they need. The features of smart phone services and users are examined in this study because there are not enough studies on such unique features of smart phone services. In accordance with the results of the study the features of smart phone services and users can be categorized as follows: 1) the requisite features of smart phone services are immediate connectivity and. 2) The requisite features for smart phone users are user friendliness and user innovation. 3) The requisite features of smart phone technology are security and linkage.

The Correlation Between Smartphone Addiction and Sensory Processing Feature, Self-Efficacy in College Students (대학생의 스마트폰 중독과 감각처리특성 및 자기효능감의 상관관계)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between smartphone addiction, sensory processing features and self-efficacy in college students. Methods : From June to August in 2015, a hundred eighty three healthy college students were completed the questionnaire for smartphone addiction (S-scale), sensory processing feature (Adolescent/ Adult Sensory Profile), and self-efficacy (Self-Efficacy Scale) and correlation analyses were applied. Results : There were significant differences on sensory registration and sensory sensitivity in sensory processing features between the addiction group and the non-addiction group. Significant correlations were found between smartphone addiction and sensory seeking, and smartphone addiction and self-efficacy. Conclusion : This study showed smartphone addiction had relationships with high sensory seeking and low self-efficacy. Thus, more studies and interventions focused on preventing smartphone addiction are required for college students.

  • 본 논문은 국방 클라우드를 기반으로 병사 스마트폰 사용에 대한 거버넌스의 방안을 연구한다. 2020 년부터 군 부대 내에서 병사의 스마트폰의 사용이 전면 시행되었다. 하지만 대량의 병사 스마트폰을 인적자원을 통해 관리하기 때문에 많은 인적자원 리소스가 필요하고, 보안이 중요한 부대 특성상 보안 점검을 사유로 인권침해가 발생하고 있다. 따라서 군 부대 특성을 고려한 거버넌스를 정의하고 도입할 필요가 있다. VMI(Virtual Mobile Infrastructure) 시스템을 이용한 국방 클라우드 기반 스마트폰 관리 시스템은 스마트폰을 군 보급품으로 지급하고 모든 스마트폰 프로세스 및 데이터를 중앙 서버를 통해 관리한다. 본 논문에서는 국방 클라우드 기반 스마트폰 거버넌스를 정의하고 중앙 서버를 통해 모든 스마트폰의 프로세스와 데이터를 관리함으로써 얻을 수 있는 기대효과를 관리적, 보안적 측면에서 연구하였다.

The Effects of Personal, Environmental, SmartPhone Characteristics Factors on the SmartPhone Addiction Degrees and Daily Life of University Students (개인특성, 환경특성, 스마트폰특성이 대학생의 스마트폰 중독정도 및 일상생활의 변화에 미치는 영향력 분석)

  • This study examined what leads to smartphone addiction by looking into personal, environmental, and smartphone characteristics, to identify their influences on the degree of addiction and changes in daily life. Therefore, surveys were conducted on college undergraduates, who get easily addicted to smartphones The study hypotheses were evaluated through a structural equation model on a total of 370 collected survey questionnaires Findings revealed: first, with reference to personal characteristics, the more competent and highly related one is, the more negatively influenced one is in getting addicted to smartphones. Second, as for environmental characteristics, the bigger the social impact is, the more positively influenced one is on smartphone addiction. Third, among the characteristics of a smartphone, the ubiquity showed a positive influence on smartphone addiction. Lastly, the degree to which one is addicted to a smartphone has(either positive or negative) on the changes in one's daily life. These results are not intended to blindly inhibit smartphone use by highlighting the negative aspects of smartphones, but are expected to serve as basic data to develop a preventative and remedial program based on the degree of smartphone addiction.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the meanings of the features of university students with regard to their smartphone usage in order to establish the culture of good smartphone use. In-depth interviews were conducted with nine university students. The collected data were analyzed qualitative method. As a results, five theme and 18 subthemes of characteristic of smartphone usage were identified. Those themes include 1. background of smartphone usage, 2. attachment to smartphone usage, 3. building of my own the world, 4. emergence of new human relation, 5. burden of smartphone usage. This study provided practical suggestions and follow studies for good smartphone usage.

The Relationship Between the Life Stress and Smartphone Addiction in Nursing College Students (간호대학생의 생활스트레스와 스마트폰 중독 관련성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the connections between life stress and smartphone addiction of nursing college students. The subjects included nursing college students in some areas. Data were collected in November and December, 2018 from a total of 240 subjects. Collected data were subjected to frequency, percentage, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, and ANOVA analyses to identify differences in smartphone addiction level and stress characteristics according to general characteristics. Correlations between smartphone addiction and stress characteristics were investigated by Pearson's correlation analysis, and factors influencing smartphone addiction were examined by hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The findings showed that independent variables had explanatory powers of 14.8% and 32.7% in Models 1 and 2, respectively. The study examined differences in smartphone addiction level according to the general characteristics of the subjects and found that female college students had a higher level of smartphone addiction than their male counterparts. The smartphone addiction level was high in those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for five hours or more a day, and spent many hours on SNS. Evaluation of differences in stress characteristics according to their general characteristics revealed female college students scored higher for stress characteristics. The means of the stress characteristics were also high for those who were not satisfied with college life, used a smartphone for many hours, and had a high risk of smartphone addiction. In conclusion, female gender, hours of smartphone usage and SNS, academic stress, and value stress were important factors influencing the smartphone addiction of nursing college students. These findings indicate the need to reinforce a stress management program for nursing college students and thus provide them with multifaceted support for stress management.

Factors Affecting the Intention to Use of Smart-Phone Banking Service: A Case of Chinese Users (스마트폰 뱅킹서비스 수용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 중국 사례)

  • In this paper we investigate the factors influencing the intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service in China. We include the characteristics of smart-phone, mobile banking service, and users to the research model and also consider user satisfaction as an intervening variable. We try to find and prove the factors influencing the intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service by surveying 206 chinese users and using structural equation model. This empirical paper proves that mobility, instance connectivity, use convenience, and intimacy give positive effects to intention to use of smart-phone mobile banking service. In addition, this paper indicates some managerial implications that mobility, access speed and the easy user interface can help to increase the degree of user acceptance.
