  • To reduce the amount of the signaling messages occurred in movement, HMIPv6 has been introduced as the hierarchical mobility management architecture tor MIPv6 by regarding the locality of movements. When approaching the visited link, the authentication procedure should be done successfully prior to any motility support message exchanges. The AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Account) authentication service is applied gradually to the wireless LAN and Cellular networks. However, It may bring about the service latency for the sessions of requiring the real-time processing due to not providing the optimized signaling in local and frequent movements. In this paper, we propose the authentication architecture with 'delegation' scheme to reduce the amount of signaling message and latency to resume for local movements by integrating it with HMIPv6 architecture. We provide the integrated authentication model and analyze the performance and effectivity of our proposal and finally offer the analysis materials comparing to the exiting authentication scheme. It cuts down the cost to $33.6\%$ at average measurement.

  • IF handoff events are occurred during the transmission of multimedia traffic, the efficient resource allocation and handoff procedures are necessary to maintain the same QoS of transmitted multimedia traffic because the QoS may be defected by some delay and information loss, This paper proposes a handoff scheme to accommodate multimedia traffic based on the resource reservation procedure using direction estimation, This scheme uses a novel mobile tracking method based on Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making, in which uncertain parameters such as PSS (Pilot Signal Strength), the distance between the mobile and the base station, the moving direction, and the previous location are used in the decision process using the aggregation function in fuzzy set theory, With the position information, the moving direction is determined, The handoff requests for real time sessions are handled based on the direction prediction and the resource reservation scheme, The resources in the estimated adjacent cells should be reserved and allocated to guarantee the continuity of the real time sessions, Through simulation results, we show that our proposed resource reservation method provides a better performance than that of the conventional method.

  • In ubiquitous environment, mobile devices, which users carry, tend to be resource-constraint, thus resulting in the need for an authentication protocol, which provides light-weight computations as well as strong security. Recently S/Key based protocols, which satisfy such a requirement by achieving light-weight computations, strong authentication and session key exchange, have been proposed. In particular, You and Jung's protocol is more efficient and secure than others. In this paper, we compare and analyze You-Jung with other protocols. Also, we design an authentication scenario and status of mobile devices while implementing the protocol.

  • In ubiquitous computing environment, a user can access their personalized services at anytime, anywhere, through any possible mobile or fixed terminals in a secure way. If the user wants to move to a different location, they need to stop the video play at the current location and makes a new request at the new location. As well, the user needs to manually search for the last frame to be seen at the previous location. In this paper, we proposed an implementation of multimedia contents streaming service mobility by user's location tracking. User can play video seamlessly while moving from one machine to another along the user's moving trail.

  • As mobile traffic increases rapidly, DMM (Distributed Mobility Management) has been proposed as a mobility management technology for seamless communication of mobile devices as mobile traffic increases rapidly. the DMM distributes mobility management from the core network to the edge network, enabling stable binding updates with low latency. However, the DMM still have network delay and security problems for sessions. In this paper, we point out the problems existing in the DMM and propose a new protocol in which the MN (Mobile Node) directly participates in authentication and mutual authentication is correctly performed to solve this problem. We demonstrate not only security improvements but also performance improvements with performance analysis.

  • Mobile IP(MIP) and SIP have been proposed to support mobility in the wireless internet working at different layers of the protocol stack. However MIP has some problems such as triangle routing, the need of each host's home address, the overhead of tunneling and the lack of wide deployment. Thus we proposed a scheme for supporting mobility based on SIP in this research. A novel SIP system to provide a hierarchical registration has been designed according to this scheme. Our SIP system has been established by implementing JAIN technologies which follow next generation network standards to support the mobility of wireless terminal. This system successfully satisfied ITU-T recommendation.

  • Generally, in the Mobile IP technologies, the use of RSVP(Resource ReSerVation Protocol) is recommended in order to provide a mobile node real-time service. However, the handoff of a mobile node increases the registration delay, RSVP reservation delay and signalling overhead in the Mobile IP and RSVP interworking. Specially, the resource reservation on the path between a mobile node and a correspondent node is the duplicated reservation and then causes unnecessary creation of the signalling overhead and waste of the resource, since the majority of the path before handoff and after handoff is same. If the radius of a cell providing a wireless interface to a mobile node is small, the number of handoff will increase and also signalling overhead and duplicated resource reservation will increase. In this paper, we proposed the integration model of Cellular IP and RSVP with RSVP proxy scheme. Here, Cellular IP protocol minimizes registration delay, transfer delay, and loss by handoff in micro cell network, the RS VP proxy that minimizes the duplication of resource reservation prevents the path for RSVP session from change using the address for reservation of a mobile node. Proposed scheme was evaluated in comparison with the existing Mobile IP and RSVP interworking scheme using the probability of resource reservation fail to the radius of a cell and the handoff rate.

  • While the Internet keeps its permeation into every aspect of human life, two things stand out. One is the requirement for high quality of services to support multimedia data service.'The other is the desire for ubiquitous network connection. Combining the two things makes the Internet possible in supporting multimedia communications for nomadic users on the locomotion. To support QoS communication for mobile users by applying RSVP to Mobile IP, RSVP Tunnel, which specifies building separately a RSVP session between the home agent and the foreign agent, was proposed. However, the RSVP Tunnel method breeds bandwidth overhead and association problems in tunnel because of duplicated RSVP messages use. To resolve these problems, in this paper, we propose the new encapsulation method, the RSVP-in-IP Encapsulation (RIPE) that can support QoS guaranteed service efficicntly in Mobile IP networks. The proposed method supports RSVP mobility to Mobile If tunneling mechanism efficiently without any additional session as the RSVP Tunnel scheme. Moreover it removes the critical problems of bandwidth overhead in a tunnel and association by duplicated messages. We compared the performance of our proposed scheme with RSVP Tunnel scheme in term of mean delay, mean data rate and bandwidth overhead in tunnel.
