Distribution Characteristics of the Medical Services in Korea (한국 의료서비스의 분포 특징 분석)

  • This study investigates the distribution characteristics of medical services in Korea. For the purpose this paper examines the spatial discordance between the provisions of the medical services and the need for them, and analyzes the spatial distribution patterns of medical service in both inter- and intra-regional levels. Disclosed is a severe regional disparity problem in the provision of medical facilities at both inter-regional and intra-regional levels. In recent years people's interest gets increased more in the social well-being of the community, and the resulting strong request makes it desirable to restructure the healthcare service system. This study has thus attempted to draw out the distribution function of the medical facilities, based on the examination of the real data. A particular attention has been paid to whether there exists any hierarchical structure in their size distribution. Quite remarkably, no appreciable hierarchical structure has been observed in the scale of the medical facilities in Korea, in sharp contrast to of the three-level hierarchical structure assumed in the three-level referral system adopted widely. Remarkably, it is revealed that medical facilities in Korea are described by scale-invariant distribution functions. Instead, scale-invariant power-law behavior has been found in the size distribution, which is expected to be rather generic and applicable to other countries as well.

  • 소규모의 사회복지 시설들은 대규모의 전문병원들이 갖춘 고 부가가치 전산 시스템들을 갖추고 있지 못하다. 그러므로 소규모의 사회복지시설들은 관리 및 서비스의 질적 향상을 기대할 수 없다. 이로 인해 경영관리와 서비스 차원에서 차이가 발생한다. 소규모에서 관리과 서비스의 향상을 위해 본 연구에서는 소규모 사회복지시설(Silver-town)에 적합한 통합 의료정보 데이터베이스시스템을 설계하여 제안하고자 한다.

  • 구내통신은 건물내에 교환기 등의 전기통신설비를 구축하여 전화서비스는 물론 통신 운영 및 관리업무를 담당하는 설비로서 주택법 등에서 대규모 건물에 대해서는 구내통신설비를 구축하도록 규정하고 있다. 과거 전화서비스만 제공하던 시기에는 간단한 구조로 되어 있어 사용되는 전기의 사용량 이 많지 않았으나 아파트와 같은 공동주택의 건설이 많아지고 제공되는 통신서비스 역시 초고속인터넷을 비롯하여 각종 홈오토메이션 등 구내통신이 담당하는 서비스가 복잡 다양해 지면서 설비의 전기요금에 대한 이슈가 제기되고 있다. 현재 한국전력공사의 요금약관을 살펴보면 아파트와 같은 대규모 건물일 경우, 1전기사용장소 전체를 1전기사용계약단위로 하기 때문에 구내용 전기통신설비의 경우 가장 높은 요금인 주거용 전력요금을 적용받고 있다. 하지만 '사회기잔시설에 대한 민간투자법'에 따르면 전기통신설비는 항만, 수도, 집단에너지 시설 등과 함게 가회기반시설로 지정되어 있으며 다른 기간시설의 경우 산업용 전력요금을 적용받고 있어 형평성의 문제가발생하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 현행 구내통신관련 법제를 살펴보고 구내통신요금의 합리적인 개선방안을 제시하고 한다.

Types of Korean caves (우리나라 개방 동굴의 유형분류)

  • Unlike conventional cave classification, this paper is attempted to classify caves in Korea in considerations for the surroundings. As a result, it‘s been confirmed that a cave can maximize the effect of information delivery as a part of great tourism resources. It‘s also been confirmed that the characteristics of caves can be differently interpreted depending on the size of surrounding humanistic environment as well as the size of the cave.

  • The Design manual for adjusting the capacity and LOS of facilities has been shared in urban railways and high-speed railway stations. However, the pattern of urban railways users and those of high-speed railway users are different from each other. For an example, the high-speed railway users tend to carry voluminous luggages and the transportation disadvantaged such as children and the elderlies. Accordingly, we see that the scale of facilities and the station itself should be constructed differently. The transfer facilities in the high-speed railway stations are classified widely into walking assisting facilities and convenient facilities. We invented the concept of PME (Pedestrian Moving Equivalent) and PWE (Pedestrian Waiting Equivalent)for the spatial calculation of those who are with wheeled luggages, back packs, and children to reflect the uniqueness of users in high-speed railway stations. These equivalents have been applied to the design of the facilities to asses the new Capacity and LOS that are users' favored.

  • Since elderly welfare centers were designated as leisure facilities for elders by the Welfare of the Age Act enacted in 1981, they have been built in cities and provinces, but services provided by the facilities have not been diverse. Furthermore, thanks to the full enforcement of the local autonomy system, the number of elderly welfare centers is increasing rapidly. In the Honam area, 36 elderly welfare centers were in operation in 2005, but most of them do not reflect the characteristics of the aged population and the corresponding locality. Neither are there service programs nor detailed plans for spatial structure or layout for such sonics programs. Therefore, this study classified program spaces and analyzed space locations in elderly welfare centers in the Honam area, and investigated the spatial layout of each facility including counseling spaces, medical and rehabilitative spaces, social education spaces, welfare spaces and management spaces. The ultimate purpose of this study is, based on the results of the analysis and investigation, to present basic materials necessary for designing the spatial structure of elderly welfare centers that satisfies various services in consideration of the local characteristics of the Honam area.

A Study on the Influens of Care Worker's Perception of Publicness on Service Quality in Nursing Facility for the Elderly (노인요양시설의 서비스 질에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 요양보호사의 공공성 인식을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to increase the perception of publicness and service quality on nursing facility for the elderly.The care wokers are core human resources in elderly care work practices and their perception of their publicness are likely to on effect service quality. This survey was conducted 318 care workers in nursing facility for the elderly. Research method used multiple regression analysis. Result indicated that care worker's perception of publicness level and service quality is above the ordinarly. And care worker's perception of publicness had positive effect service quality.

  • 대전을지대학병원은 지난 2004년 의료 지방화 시대를 선도한다는 기치 아래 중부권 최대 규모의 시설을 갖추고 지금의 대전시 둔산동으로 이전, 개원을 했다. 이후 서울의 유명 병원 못지않은 최첨단 장비와 화려한 의료진을 내세워 최고 수준의 의료서비스를 펼쳤고, 그 결과 보건복지부의 의료기관 인증제 평가에서 대전지역 최초로 인증을 획득하기까지 했다. 이는 당연히 최고 수준의 의료체계를 갖추었기에 가능한 일이었지만, 그것만이 전부는 아니다. 그 이면엔 우수한 체계를 갖출 수 있도록 원활한 지원을 펼친 이들이 있었다. 바로 이곳의 시설안전담당자들이다. 25년의 안전 내공으로 대전을지대학병원을 지역 최고의 의료기관으로 이끈 김덕기 과장을 만나 이야기를 나눠봤다.

Optimum number of berths for Integrated Freight Terminal considering loading characteristic of trucks (화물차량의 하역특성을 고려한 복합화물터미널에 있어서 최적 berth수 산정에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the inefficient operation of the existing logistic facilities, the complicated distribution structure, and closed utilization of logistic information are causing high logistic costs. The general improvement in the distribution structure and the expansion of the logistic facilities are needed for solving these problems. However, existing unit-scale forecast is not considering the loading and unloading characteristics of the trucks and the improvement of operation efficiency from the mechanization and automation of the loading and unloading works. The queuing theory based on the status quo of the cargo trucks to the cargo terminals is considered in this study. The optimal scale estimation method(OSCM) which the loading and unloading characteristics of the cargo trucks were taken into consideration was suggested. Also, the relationship between the optimal scale of the cargo terminal and the mechanization, automation, and informationization of the present loading and unloading system was investigated. As a result, it showed that the regularity of the truck arrival and service times had less influence on the scale of the cargo terminal, but the improvement of the loading and unloading speeds and the service rate of the trucks did more influence on it.
