A Case Study on the Application of Flipped Learning in Untact Online Classes: Focusing on Social and Engineering Subjects (비대면 온라인 수업에서의 플립러닝 적용 사례연구: 사회계열 교과목과 공학계열 교과목을 중심으로)

  • In this study, we analyzed the application of flipped learning in the untact online classes, focusing on thr social and engineering subjects of universities. Due to the unprecedented situation of COVID-19, the professors and learners were unable to conduct the face-to-faceclasses, and the existing flipped learning classes were analyzed separately from the social and engineering subjects. In particular, the results of this study will provide the basic data on the direction of post-corona-era university classes in that it can increase the effectiveness of flipped learning if it is linked to the flexibility of the university's academic system such as intensive course.

  • The aim of this study is to improve the curriculum of the physical education by recognizing the necessity of new physical education to meet the needs of the sports industry. As a preliminary study for this, the subjects of physical education at American universities and those at regular domestic universities have been investigated. Then, the current state of operation of the physical education system of the credit bank system has been investigated. The first is the definition of the credit banking system, the investigation of accreditation of credits and the institutions of education and training. The Second is the investigation of the educational goals and qualifications of each major in the standard education curriculum and the current status of accredited credits. The third is the type and operation of institutions by degree in physical education, and the survey on current majors in progress. The fourth is the survey on the current status of operating institutions by region. The fifth is the classification of detailed subjects by major and the survey on the status of subjects by major. The last is the detailed subjects by major, and the analysis of the consistent or similar subjects in domestic and international sports industry subjects. Through the findings of this investigation, the following directions for improvement of the credit bank system curriculum have been suggested. Firstly, it is necessary to newly establish major courses tailored to social change. Secondly, it is necessary to develop mandatory and optional courses that meet the needs of the times. Thirdly, it is necessary to increase courses centered on field training that can meet the needs of the sports industry. Fourthly, in relation to the evaluation and recognition of the credit banking system, the conclusion have been derived that institutional improvement should be urgently performed.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution in order to cultivate excellent human resources equipped with international competitiveness and new technologies the university's engineering education is gradually improving through a number of studies. Comprehensive design in engineering is a course that emphasizes the importance of design education and nurtures future talents that are practically needed in the industrial field. In this study focusing on the researcher's 2019 engineering-related comprehensive design courses students apply new technologies learned in college to actual practice propose creative ideas and develop practical results that solve problems of local welfare facilities. The curriculum was described in which students took the initiative to find problems in community welfare facilities and developed VR contents for disaster response education for the socially disadvantaged. Through this study, students solved the motion limitations of existing earthquake VR contents by connecting them with motion chairs. As a result, it is meaningful that students contributed to the local community as well as cultivating their ability to adapt in the field.

Design of Artificial Intelligence Course for Humanities and Social Sciences Majors

  • This study propose to develop artificial intelligence liberal arts courses for college students in the humanities and social sciences majors using the entry artificial intelligence model. A group of experts in computer, artificial intelligence, and pedagogy was formed, and the final artificial intelligence liberal arts course was developed using previous research analysis and Delphi techniques. As a result of the study, the educational topics were largely composed of four categories: image classification, image recognition, text classification, and sound classification. The training consisted of 1) Understanding the principles of artificial intelligence, 2) Practice using the entry artificial intelligence model, 3) Identifying the Ethical Impact, and 4) Based on learned, team idea meeting to solve real-life problems. Through this course, understanding the principles of the core technology of artificial intelligence can be directly implemented through the entry artificial intelligence model, and furthermore, based on the experience of solving various real-life problems with artificial intelligence, and it can be expected to contribute positively to understanding technology, exploring the ethics needed in the artificial intelligence era.

An Analysis of Satisfaction on the Essential Curriculum: Focusing on J University Case (교양필수 교과목에 대한 만족도 분석: J대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • In this study, we examined the satisfaction level of J university's compulsory liberal arts subject with quantitative research. The results quantitative research are as follows. First, men are more interested in creative thinking, college life guidance and career path design than girls. Second, the level of satisfaction with the required liberal arts subject by grade was found to be without a statistical significant difference. Third, the satisfaction level of each line of learning was shown in the order of natural engineering, health and welfare, physical fitness, and humanities. The satisfaction level of the lines of learning was found to vary. Fourth, The satisfaction level of each campus was found to vary. The results of this study could be used as basic data to improve the college liberal arts curriculum, especially the compulsory liberal arts curriculum.   • The core of the Fourth Industrial revolution, the topic of the 21st century, lies in the convergence of various technologies that are developing to the cutting edge. Therefore, convergence education is essential to solve problems from various perspectives. Above all, in order to solve the complex problem arising from the contact point between humans and technology in the future society, it was considered that insight through a humanities and artistic approach was necessary. Now, universities are trying to run a multidisciplinary comprehensive design to adapt to the new digital environment. In this study, an operation case of an engineering comprehensive design subject incorporating art operated by a researcher was described. The researcher presented an art convergence curriculum in a comprehensive design subject by applying 1. problem recognition and definition, 2. idea derivation and evaluation, 3. project development, 4. presentation, and demonstration process operation methods. Through this study, it is meaningful that it presented a method of operating art convergence in engineering comprehensive design subjects by allowing students to attempt an artistic aesthetic and emotional approach to project development.

  • 본 연구는 교수 및 학습효과를 증대시키기 위하여 실제 상황에서 일어나고 있는 사회현상들에 대한 보도형태의 자료인 신문기사를 비롯한 각종 매체 자료를 활용하여 사회 제 현상이 현재 학습과정의 교과과정에는 어떻게 연관되며 경영적 이론이 실제 어떻게 적용되는가를 학습함으로써 교과목에 대한 관심도의 증대와 학습심화의 필요성을 증대시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 최근의 선별된 자료를 중심으로 각종 경제경영 관련주제의 주요 기사 내용을 숙지하고 주요 기사 내용들의 배경과 문제점을 파악하며 여러 관점에서 다양한 현상의 원인과 배경에 대한 접근으로 사회과학적인 현상을 습득하는 사고방법을 훈련할 수 있다. 또한 다양한 사회 경제경영분야의 요구사항과 사회적인 욕구들을 주지하고 향후 학생들의 사회진출에 따라 사회현상을 이해하고 이를 통하여 보다 적극적인 자신감 고취와 현실사회에 대한 이해력을 증진시킨다.

Analyzing Opinions Which University Students from Engineering and Social Science Department have about Science-Technology-Society Literacy (공학 및 사회 계열 대학생들의 STS 소양에 대한 견해 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze university students' views on STS(science-technology-society) literacy. We divided definition and interaction of science, technology and society in the views' category about STS literacy. Research object was three universities' students(engineering department: 119 and social science department: 117) in Seoul and Jeju. Research result was following. First, students from engineering department valued convenience of life in the definition of science and technology. Students from social science department valued explanation of phenomenon and experiment in the definition of science and technology. Second, two groups perceived inter-relationship of science, technology and society. Third, two groups had different opinions about responsibility and ethics of scientific technician and technical use. As a result of this study, students perceived highly about STS literacy. Therefore, the result of this study will provide important implication for establishing and operating subjects about STS literacy in university curriculum.

  • 나노기술종합발전계획이 2001년에 수립 추진된 이후 5년여동안 전국의 35개 대학에서 학부 및 석박사 과정에 나노관련 39개 학과가 개설되어 537명의 교수진이 참석하고 있으며 4,397명의 학생이 재학중이다. 다학제간 협력이 필요한 나노기술의 특성상 운영중인 교과목에도 이학계열과 공학계열 뿐만 아니라 다양한 전공과목이 포함되어 있으며, 향후 나노기술과 IT, BT, ET가 융합한 나노융합기술의 발전과 사회적인 요구에 따라 대학에서의 나노기술교육도 더욱 다양화 될 것으로 전망된다.

A Case Study of Undergraduate Students majoring in Science/Engineering and Humanities/Social Sciences who Solved the Convergence Problem based on History and Philosophy of Science in Problem-Based Learning Program (문제기반학습(Problem-Based Learning) 프로그램에서 과학사 및 과학철학 기반 융합 문제를 해결한 이공계열과 인문사회계열 대학생들의 사례연구)

  • History and philosophy of science has been consistently emphasized in science education for various purposes. In accordance with the introduction of the 2015 revised curriculum, history of science could be implemented for the curriculum; designing well-organized learning strategies is required. This study examines the case of undergraduate students who solved the convergence problem based on history and philosophy of science in the problem-based learning program. In particular, this study tries to find strategies for integrated education by comparing the problem structuring process and the meaning of problem solving experience of science/engineering and humanities/social sciences students. Participants were three students majoring in science/engineering and humanities/social sciences. Participants constructed and solved their own convergence problems by integrating the domains that were familiar to them into history and philosophy of science. While the process of structuring the problems and the use of history and philosophy of science were similar, there were differences between the science/engineering and humanities/social sciences students' point of view on history and philosophy of science and the other domain which they choose. Moreover, there were differences between the two group's meanings of problem solving experience. Finally, based on the results of this study, history and philosophy in science provided some implications in the context of science education and integrated education.
